The resort has a crew of very nice people. They picked us up at the pier, helped with our luggage, gave us water and refreshing wipes to cool off and provided very useful information upon checkin. The rooms were made up daily, we got water, tea/coffee, there are options for food nearby, a shop, you even have delivery menus in room so you can easily choose and order to your room directly. The room was nice, clean, spacious, with nice view of their beautiful gardens.

I recommend this hotel! It’s brand new, super clean (which was really important to me), and just overall a great place to stay. It’s not right on the main street, but it’s only a short walk from everything and if you’ve got a scooter, it’s perfect! The girls who work at the hotel and even their taxi driver are the nicest!

I had an amazing stay at Shiva Lodge in Koh Tao. The location feels like a tropical hideaway tucked into the jungle, surrounded by lush greenery, such a peaceful paradise. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish, which made the experience even better. The room was beautifully designed with so much attention to detail. Everywhere I looked there were thoughtful touches, and the overall design was just perfection. It truly felt like a little sanctuary. I’d highly recommend Shiva Lodge to anyone looking for a serene and stylish escape on the island.

Well, everything was incredible. From the moment we booked the hotel to the moment we left, everything exceeded our expectations. This family-run hotel reached out to us after booking to confirm our stay (6+ months in advance). Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly smiles and very helpful tips on what to see and where to find things on Koh Tao. They sent us a message in the app with everything from viewpoints, restaurants, and local services we might be interested in. The room was very clean, the balcony had a nice cozy feel to it, and the laundry service offered was efficient. I can't speak highly enough about the cafe tied to the hotel. This entire hotel is family-run including the cafe. Their menu is excellent and offers a variety of homemade meals to cater to everyone. The food was fresh and the croissants...well, the croissants are some of the best we've ever had (especially the chocolate croissants)! Their location is ideal for couples or families looking to get away from the party beaches while still only being a 15 minute walk away from everything. Our 2 week trip across Thailand was made memorable largely from The Big Tree Boutique Hotel. If, and when, we come back I will certainly be staying here on Koh Tao.

This resort isn't just a place to stay; it's a destination that offers a unique blend of luxury, relaxation, and adventure. The staff at Jamahkiri were the heart and soul of our experience. Their extraordinary friendliness and attentiveness made us feel valued and well-cared for. They seemed to anticipate our needs, adding a personal touch to our stay that was truly exceptional. Dining at the resort's restaurant was a culinary delight. Each meal was more than just tasty; it was a feast for the senses, especially with the picturesque backdrop of Shark Bay enhancing our dining experience. While snorkeling in front of the resort, we were struck by the changes in the underwater world. The once vibrant coral reefs showed signs of environmental impact, with many corals not as lively as they used to be. Despite this, we were fortunate to see a variety of fish, some sharks, and even some turtles, which was a memorable part of our adventure. Our diving course, led by the skilled and reassuring instructor Neo, was a highlight. We felt safe and well taken care of, making our diving experience enjoyable and stress-free. The room service at the resort deserves high praise. On days when we were too tired to dine out, the quality and promptness of the service made our in-room dining just as special as eating at the restaurant. The reception staff were incredible, efficiently taking care of our needs with a level of service that made us feel like they could almost read our minds. And the massages – they were heavenly. Each massage left us feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and ready to enjoy our next adventure. In summary, our stay at Jamahkiri Dive Resort was an unforgettable blend of luxury, comfort, and natural beauty.

After reading some of the reviews on this place I really wasn’t sure if this hotel was going to live up to standards. let me tell you do not listen to the bad reviews this property was perfect. very clean, rooms are very big. Yes the toilet and shower are only covered by glass but was fine for us as a couple. We had the deluxe room which was lovely and were lucky enough to have one with a gorgeous view. If you don’t pay for the grand access pools there are two lovely pools to sit around. breakfast was good and a large variety and food from the restaurant was very nice! yes a little pricier than you could get in the town but worth the money. it was my partners birthday while we were there which we didn’t mention but must’ve taken notice of when we handed in our passports and they left banners on the bed and a cake when they cleaned our room that day! All of the staff really did go above and beyond for a perfect stay. The hotel is up a hill but they offer a free shuttle service at certain times and out of those times you can call the hotel and they will send a golf buggy down to the bottom to pick you up in around 5 minutes for 50 baht which takes a couple of minutes to get to the hotel.

Wow, where to begin. First off, we were pleasantly surprised that the team was waiting at the pier to pick us and other new guests up. Super convenient. The staff was SO INCREDIBLE, cannot stress this enough. We were greeted with a big smile by Zay, who has helped with the heavy luggage and made sure we had everything we needed through our entire stay. He went above and beyond, and even went to the pier at our last day to check us in advance so we didn’t have to queue. He is amazing!!! Lidia at the reception and other staff were so friendly and helpful arranging everything from begin to end! She helped us organize a private tour around the islands by boat, this was so fun! May at the restaurant was so lovely, always a big smile on her face! The rooms- oh wow! Honestly don’t know where to begin, so I’ll keep it short: MOST BEAUTIFUL TROPICAL DESIGN . Really felt so dreamy, the interior and the best view over the pool and Sea! This was by far the best hotel we have stayed at! The beach bar had the best cocktails, the pool was so beautiful, aesthetically I would say this hotel is a DREAM! We’ll 100% be back. Top notch

Very relaxing and the property has everything you need. Rooms and property grounds are stunning. Free shuttle service to Sairee beach, best thing to do though is rent a motorbike from paramee motorbike rental shop which is located very near to hotel. Haadtien will call this rental shop when you ask to rent a bike at reception and an employee of the bike shop will come pick you up and organise a scooter for you. Breakfast is buffet style, very tasty and there is lots of food options. Also dinner at hotel can be considered expensive for some so eat near sairee beach at places like 995 duck or other food places on that street for best prices which is where the scooter comes in handy.

Sai Daeng has all you need for 100% relaxation! A sandy beach with lots of baby shark in the shallow reef sides nearby, a beautiful snorkel bay with lots of coral reef and fish in all colour and size. An amazing pool - the pool bar is one of a kind! Breakfast at the beach, and if you want - they serve lunch and dinner! The bungalows are beautiful, each with a different view. As they are spread along the peninsula, you always feel very private! The rooms are clean, huge bathroom - in our case with ocean view! The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful, beach towels at the beach and the pool- as at reception. It was just great! Thank you Sai Daeng!

Place was amazing. Picked up by the free shuttle taxi from the ferry boat and taken right to reception. We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in...

We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in October. My husband and daughter had some of the best scuba diving experiences and they would definitely love to go back and do more dives (yet there are so many other places to go and see....). We stayed in the southeast for the first part of the trip, and found that to be a bit secluded - great resort, but a little too isolated and cut off for us overall. The second half we stayed in Sairee Beach area and it was amazing! So much going on and great restaurants and sunset views at your fingertips. We had wanted to rent scooters to explore the island more, but after seeing the condition of the roads (very steep and sharp turns), and so many people with "Thailand tattoos" from road rash, we decided against it, so we didn't get to see as much as we'd hoped. Maybe next time....

Excellent town and beaches stunning view's from my hotel...

Excellent town and beaches stunning view's from my hotel right in beach , golden sands lots bars and restaurants available on beach and in town , excellent ferry service and transfer to hotel lots beach activities available crystal clear waters wonderful food in town excellent shopping mall and night market, great place to enjoy for all family very safe place highly recommended visiting recommended use the ferry service for all your transfer they very well organised and peace of mind

LOVELY PLACE..SMALL TOWN AND LESS CROWDED AND PLENTY OF DIVE-WORTHY SPOTS ALL AROUND..PLENTY OF BEAUTIFUL BEACHES ALL AROUND AND ALL ACCESSIBLE BY SMALL BOATS.. ITS A DIVERS PARADISE..ESPECIALLY KOH-NANGYUAN
