An extremely comfortable and clean stay. The rooms and bathrooms were amazing and we even had our own little back garden which was again amazing. The hosts were super helpful. They helped sort our taxis everywhere we needed to go. Gave us all the help you could ever ask for as well as nice extras like an open fridge with loads of drink options.

I had a great time at Moon Travel Phangan. Jon the owner was super friendly and helpful the entire time..he gave advice on what to go see on Koh Phangan, recommended bars and a place to rent a scooter. He let me switch to a nicer room right on arrival He gave me a great deal when I extended my stay and even drove me to the taxi station when I left. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a little balcony to hang out in the evening. I slept really well (my room was towards the road, so people motorbikes could be heard quite well, but with earplugs this was no problem). The room had a fridge and a shower with hot water. When I come back to Koh Phangan, I will stay here again for sure!

We ate pad thai and Tom kha soup there which were delicious! Super staff who helped a lot with organization. Located in a chill beach. Tbh loved all small details surf this trip.

We had a great time at Yangyai garden hotel. The rooms were so spacious, clean, and comfortable. Mr Ping was one of the nicest hosts we've ever met - he goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay possible. He shared many recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit and shared useful information on bike rental etc. The pool was so nice and the hotel is located away from the main road, making it a peaceful stay and guaranteed good sleep 💤. Thank you Mr Ping for being such a legend!!

The location is peaceful and private, yet still close enough to great restaurants and attractions. The beach in front of the villa is clean, quiet, and perfect for both adults and kids. The service was outstanding – the team was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with transfers, activities, or anything we needed. A very special thanks to Jenny, the amazing concierge, who truly made everything possible – from last-minute requests to organizing special touches that made our stay unforgettable. This hotel is fantastic! It's located in a beautiful area with some of the best beaches nearby. It's easily accessible, even by scooter. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive. We received an upgrade for a special occasion, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel also offers a pickup service from the pier for a very reasonable price, which is cheaper than a taxi from the pier itself. Additionally, you can rent scooters at the hotel reception, and we received excellent service there as well. The staff really made our stay memorable. Highly recommend this hotel!

We loved our stay at Golden Hill! The staff is incredible. They are kind, caring and attentive when we need a service. The hotel restaurant has a magnificent view and delicious dishes (You must try the Gaspacho!!). The hotel swimming pool, located below the restaurant, also boasts a breathtaking view; the perfect place to watch the sunset. The hotel also offers room service and a fast, reliable cab service. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the team once again for making our stay even more unforgettable. A hotel to book with your eyes closed.

Stayed in room which had its own pool. This I really recommend!! Breakfast was excellent and rich (lots of different options, vege etc). Also when they served breakfast, there were massage option ( 8 minutes, head and neck, for free). Village is big, but now worries because little vans are driving all the time like busses. It was simply best luxury get away in that part of island. Totally recommend and going back myself!

This property is really value for money. Located on the hill between 2 beatiful beaches which are one of highlights of the Island, with impresing views. The bed was massive and the bathroom was big too. We had a nice sitting area outside with a hammok, a table and two chairs. Although there are quite a few mosquitos due to rain, but the fan was perfect in that situation. Internet was good and free shampoo and a warm shower after some rain, was much appreciated. Few meters from the beach you can enjoy the daily sunset.

Haad Rin is a beautiful beach with plenty of bars and restaurants lining the shore and lots of shops, restaurants around the strip. During Full Moon week, the atmosphere gets wild—every venue competes with fire shows and loud music, creating a chaotic but energetic vibe. I imagine the off-season must be much more relaxing, though I haven’t experienced it myself. Personally, I found the Full Moon Party a bit disappointing, though that might be due to my expectations. I'm 40+, and I was hoping for a more organized event with better music and a diverse crowd—people of all ages from different parts of the world. Instead, it felt more like a chaotic gathering of mostly very young partygoers (early 20s), primarily from England, Germany, and Denmark, whose main focus seemed to be drinking and drugs. In November 2025, the original party was canceled due to the passing of the King’s mother, so I can’t speak to the usual experience.

I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

The night life - bars, cafés, markets, and I enjoyed getting a massage after all the walking around. There are many massage parlors and massages are so affordable here. Also, the service at the massage parlors is very good.

Lovely area on Koh Phangan.

Lovely area on Koh Phangan. Many local and also westernised food places (Ann's and Shish Kebab were our favourites!), shops and of course pristine beaches. Worth hiring a scooter to explore around and enjoy the island vibes.

It feels mostly private and is surrounded by resorts. The beach is beautiful, shallow waters, a nearby reef, plenty of fish to spot while swimming or snorkeling. It completely changes from low tide (early morning) through high tide (from 11 to 5pm). During high tide, there’s not much sand left, but the resort’s sunbeds are perfectly positioned for relaxing just in front of the beach. Nice sunset views too (not directly but close)

Great location , lovely village great restaurants, not over crowded , family friendly. We ate in many local restaurants , the food was superb and very reasonably . Good variety of shops and supermarkets , we didn't travel outside the resort as didn't need to but plenty of taxis if needed

Amazing place on the island.

Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

My Wife Georgie & I just finished our wonderful 7 day stay at Kupu Kupu villas, I can honestly say hand on heart that was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had (and we have stayed at a lot of nice places) The setting is beautiful, tranquil and absolutely perfect for relaxing. Positioned perfectly with a semi private beach & shallow waters which are serene & very warm. The rooms & amenities are all fantastic, incredibly clean, spacious and beautifully designed. The food was exceptional as was the service all round. And the staff were all incredibly friendly and went out of there way to look after us across the week. We would like to give special mention to San, Bank and especially Admin who was absolutely incredible with us all week, we felt incredibly well looked after and were made to feel the personal touch of spectacular service. One of the most special aspects of the hotel is it feels so incredibly private, every villa was booked up whilst we were there, but the pool and sun loungers were never overused which created a very private & relaxing setting. We will 100% be coming back to stay here, I have already recommended to multiple friends! Thank you

Not the nicest part of island.

Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.
