Location was perfectly along a quiet street but near main sights and market in town. Room was beautiful and spacious. The shower has a powerful spray, almost like jacuzzi! Love the bath amenities. The body wash smells heavenly! We were surprised by a 1000 THB dining voucher. Service at the restaurant was friendly and attentive. A complimentary fruit platter was served after our dinner. Breakfast menu was extensive with both local and western selection. A good chance to try the local cusine if you have yet done so. The reception offered information about various tours and also free bike rental. Biking was a perfect way to explore nearby temples and market.

The room is brand new and was way more spatious than it seemed in the photos; the bathroom is equipped with a comfortable shower and high-end smart toilet. We really love the place with very friendly and accommodating staffs. Would recommend the room with private pool, the entire unit is so pretty, clean, neat and comfortable. The food serve for breakfast is delicious and have several options to choose from. They have a very nice variety of milk / boba teas - highly recommended.

MUST STAY! Old but gold. Your stay is worth everysingle bath for sure. I just checked out this afternoon and have to write a review now. The hotel is cute, everything is clean more than you can imagine, even the balcony is super clean too. I can't believe it. Big room, sunshine, you have all you need. The owers (wife and husband) are super friendly and helpful with their tips for you in Chiangrai! They even have the guide in your language LOL so cute. The location is perfect. The price is low but the quality is high. A good choice for everyone.

This place is paradise. Lots of bamboo buildings amidst gardens, fantastic views over hills and mountains. Lots of options at breakfast and for dinner (though for the latter, as in most places, not quite enough vegetarian options). Staff were all very friendly. The location is fairly isolated, but the resort itself is just a wonderful place to relax in a scenic, unpressured environment in the midst of beautiful gardens. Nice experience one day when a horse-riding monk from a nearby monastery turned up to collect offerings and bless the place.

The staff were absolutely brilliant, always willing to help and on top of everything. My birthday was during this trip and they helped my partner surprise me with a cake and flowers for only 500 baht which made it really special. The pool was lovely, we went in everyday. Breakfast was included in my stay which was nice. Cleaned the room every day.

An oasis of calm in the city — you can spend a sunny day peacefully by the pool, away from the city noise. The breakfasts are generous. Nice and clean rooms. It’s a bit of a longer walk to the city center, but nothing that can’t be managed comfortably.

Far better than chiang mai. Cheap a few good bars and restaurants on and around walking street. The temples are the best we have ever seen. Very friendly and safe place. Thailand 25 years ago. No hassle and great people. Oh and very cheap.

Mae Salong is a beautiful haven for a getaway. Firstly, there are a few tea farms on the mountains. The scent of flowers wafts through the air almost wherever you go. Nothing is like the beauty of sun rise and sun set here. Last but not least, food is good.

It was a great stay for just two days (we arrived in the afternoon of a Friday and left on Saturday evening). It was long enough to see the Blue temple, the big Buddha, the white temple and the black house. We would recommend not to walk much, just use Grab for transportation between the temples.

I ❤️ Mae Salong. The clean crisp air and many local ethnic groups make this a great place to visit Love staying at Shin Sane GH or Little House GH. Each still offer great prices for cottages and Shin Sane still has the original rooms from wooden house and at a shoestring price for this region Love eating at Yunnan noodles down the road a bit past 7 Eleven and Salima’s. There’s a pure veg place heading towards the cathothic school nearby.

Acceptable for one night. You need a car to get to the hotel. The rooms are not soundproof. Quite loud from the traffic. The hotel is located directly on the main street. The breakfast is not bad and with good coffee to make yourself with a coffee machine.

Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river. Views are amazing and the food is good. It is not very big so staying for an extended time may be dull for some. Great for relaxing and quiet. Excellent for walking and/or riding bicycles.
