From the moment we arrived, the staff were both incredibly friendly and attentive. Our bags were taken to our room and we were given an overview of the facilities and food options. There is free tea, coffee, water and some snacks at the reception kitchen, which is a really nice touch. The room itself… wow. We stayed in one of the lake view cottages and it was an absolute slice of heaven. In the middle of a jam packed busy travel schedule, this was exactly what we needed. The pool area is small but clean and idyllic. We enjoyed catching some rays in the late afternoon and then in the morning before checking out. Only two sunbed, but most of the hotel rooms have private pools so we didn’t find this affected us. The location is prime for the White Temple in particular. They offer free bikes which we used to cycle over for the final hour of opening, which was the perfect time for a quiet visit. We were tempted by the morning but we were too relaxed to get up and leave in the end. I anticipate the morning is even more of a quiet time to visit the temple though. You MUST get the Pad Thai. It was exceptional and different from any others we’ve tried. Definitely had their own twist on the dish which we loved. If you’re looking for a completely unique stay, outside of the tourist areas for one or a few nights, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. A final shoutout to the staff who immediately did a ‘nervous’ of our room after checking out, and returned my partner’s shorts which he’d left. Those are the touches that make all the difference to a stay. Thank you Doowall Hall!

Specially the owner (or the manager) who is at the front desk goes above and beyond to help their customer. He has this hand written paper with instructions on everything that you need to see, restaurants that he recommends, street food markets & etc.. Also he helped us arrange this day tour (1000 THB/PP) which covers literally everything. Since it was raining, it was easier than renting a scooty. The room it was spacious and room service was there everyday. Rest of the staff is also very nice and kind. There are free coffee available in the morning near front desk.

The location is a bit off from the main busy street which makes it peaceful but yet still easy to get around to restaurants and convenient stores nearby by foot.
