Of the three different hotels we stayed in during our trip to Thailand, this was by far our favourite. The rooms were clean and everything functioned properly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The pool area is so beautiful and the poolside food and beverage service was excellent. We loved the sky bar too. The view was amazing. The location is steps away from the Night Bazaar which was a fun nightly activity to get dinner and shop.

We loved our stay here, stayed for three nights while exploring Chiang Mai. One of our favourite places we stayed on our 6 week travel around South East Asia! Location was perfect for us and the attention to detail with the facilities was brilliant. Room was light and clean with excellent aircon. Laundry services were so handy and breakfast had a good spread, something there for everyone. The common area of the pool and seating was lovely and we really appreciated the free cold water and treats readily available. The staff were incredibly friendly and warm and looked like they were happy to be there :)

The hotel is new and modern. It locates nears to most of tourist attractions and convenient store. The staffs are superb, very nice and friendly. The breakfast is excellent and varied, specially the Thai breakfast is very good. Also there is fruit, coffee, tea and free water available all day which is a plus. The bathroom was spacious, and the rooms were very clean. Our sheets were changed regularly, and the bed was always made. We even had a small garden outside our room, which was a nice touch, even though we didn’t use it. The garden in front of the hotel was beautiful. The breakfast options were enjoyable, the bed was very large and comfortable, and the wardrobes were spacious and sufficient. Overall, we had a great experience.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel's facilities, including the pool and the beautifully landscaped grounds, were top-notch and well-maintained. Breakfast was plentiful and offered a great variety of flavors to suit different tastes. As a big fan of fruit, I would have appreciated an even wider selection of fresh fruits. A special shout-out goes to both the breakfast and kitchen staff, who were always helpful and prepared a delicious omelet for me every morning. I am also especially grateful to the excellent and attentive receptionist, who kindly accommodated my request to change rooms due to an uncomfortable shower in the initial room. I hope that during my next stay at this hotel, I will have the chance to experience the comforts of the newer building. :-) One of the most delightful surprises was the welcome gift bag filled with various juices, drinks, and treats upon my arrival! It would have been even more special if it had featured local snacks like dried fruits, which are truly delicious in Thailand, instead of international candies. The location near the airport made my stay very convenient, yet the hotel remained quiet and relaxing. Additionally, the complimentary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and back was a wonderful touch. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and worry-free stay in Chiang Mai.

A fantastic retreat by the river, about an hour from Chiang Mai. Various bungalows with garden or river views—we chose one by the river with a shared pool, offering a peaceful stay. The large main pool by the restaurant has never been crowded either. Breakfast is well-arranged with local, Asian, and Western options, and the restaurant is great for all meals. Best of all, it’s close to elephant camps for walking, bathing, and riding—highly recommended

Been there with my wife and absolutely loved it! The staff is very friendly and helpful, yummy restaurant, neat garden everywhere. Calm thai music starts playing when you stick your keys in to get electricity, wow. I've never seen this in any hotels i've stayed in. They also have terraces with magnificent jungle view. I'm proud of Proud Phu Fah!

Beautiful resort in mountain setting. Most of all, great service; everyone was very helpful and kind. Loved the breakfast and food at the "Higher Room." I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!

Challenging to get there if you don't have your own transport, but you can order a taxi. Beautiful views and a small "town" where you can walk around, buy anything you need and good restaurants.

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai.

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air quality, which is a rare thing in Thailand. With lots of greenery and nature trails, you'll never get bored in this place. Food is also cheap and tasty. The people are nice and always smiling. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nature retreat.

We celebrated our anniversary on the mountainside, and it was such a memorable experience. The host was incredibly kind and even surprised us with roses, which made the stay extra special 🌹 The room was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. We had the mookata for dinner, which was absolutely delicious and perfect for the cool mountain atmosphere. We did encounter a small issue with the bathtub, but the team responded quickly and fixed it right away great service and responsiveness. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with excellent hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill and relaxing homestay in the mountains. You won’t be disappointed!

Chiang Mai is the capital of north Thailand and worth a visit of a couple of weeks. Less hot and humid than Bangkok. Also calmer and friendlier. Avoid in the smoky season (April and May) when the area farmers burn off stuff they don’t like and create horrendous smog for everyone. Once the monsoon starts that goes away. Red trucks are good for getting around but you need to understand how they work. Good veggie restaurant on Monmong north of tapae gate.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.

Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend.

Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.
