beautiful hotel spa is amazing breakfast variety great cocktail bar amazing one staff member was amazing, I cannot remember his name he was on the helpdesk, he used to work at Lebua hotel! he should be at management level, he speaks fluently english is veryyyy helpful, always smiling and gave us so many tips during our stay! he even handled an issue we had with the credit card billing that the lady at reception could not help us understand! well done to you, if I am told the names I can remember

I wish I could give more stars to Aksara Heritage Inn—the hospitality and kindness of the staff are truly beyond words. Upon our arrival, my 17-month-old was exhausted and sleeping. The wonderful Poy at reception, noticing this, graciously offered us an early check-in as soon as a room was available. Their thoughtfulness made our first impression incredibly warm. Throughout our stay, the entire staff was exceptionally caring and playful with my daughter, making her feel right at home. A special shoutout to Anold, Mook, and Pukky from the restaurant staff—their kindness and attentiveness were remarkable. They consistently went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They remembered my daughter’s favorite meal of steamed rice and curd and would promptly serve it in a cute Hello Kitty plate as soon as we were seated. When I requested hot cow milk for my baby, they generously provided it free of charge every day for the entire five-day stay. The staff also helped us with our travel plans, guiding us towards better and more affordable private tours. They even stepped out into the streets to bargain with a tuk-tuk driver to get us a fair price for a ride to the local market. On the day of an early tour starting at 7:00 AM, they thoughtfully packed us breakfast boxes—a gesture we truly appreciated. The restaurant itself was exceptional. The food was so delicious that we didn’t even consider dining elsewhere. I highly recommend trying their pineapple fried rice, chicken quesadilla, and fried prawns in red curry sauce—each dish was simply divine. A huge thanks to Zank, Kool, Patcy, and P. Mai from the restaurant team for their outstanding service and warm smiles throughout our stay. The housekeeping and luggage service were equally impressive. Date, who handled our luggage, was extremely careful and courteous, ensuring everything was managed smoothly.

Since this is our second time, we decided to try the smaller studio instead of the 1-BR residence. The size of the studio is perfect - about the size of an average Asian hotel room. It’s simply furnished and comfortable. We loved that it is slightly further away from the hotel side so it’s generally quieter but just a hop from the breakfast and dinner restaurants. The restaurant staff are amazing as usual, especially the ones having to deal with mad hungry crowds at breakfast. The dinner restaurant staff, esp the male team leader who speaks well, was amazing and energetic - helping my husband navigate his allergies and dietary restrictions.

Beautifully designed room with great view to the river. Probably the most comfortable bed and pillows I've had in a long time. All the facilities you need with an enormous choice for breakfast. Tahi restaurant and western style both very good (beef tartare superb). Not really announced bu the Bubbles rooftop bar can serve any restaurant items if you want to mix and match. Pool area enormous and not crowded. Spa vitamin infusion also very professional.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air quality, which is a rare thing in Thailand. With lots of greenery and nature trails, you'll never get bored in this place. Food is also cheap and tasty. The people are nice and always smiling. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nature retreat.

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard...

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.

The kindness and helpfulness of our hosts made for an...

The kindness and helpfulness of our hosts made for an excellent stay. The free bikes loan gave us independence. The Fang Hot Springs a couple of kilometres away was fun and convenient. The surrounding scenery of onion fields was very pleasant. We saw many interesting birds including the siting of an Asian Barred Owlet at our breakfast location which completed the enjoyment of our stay.

Chiang Mai was very beautiful, a relaxed atmosphere and we always felt extremely safe, even late at night. It’s not overflowing with activities but if you are content in exploring the many markets and backstreets, the great cooking classes and of course visiting the amazing elephants, Chiang Mai could be for you! Getting around was so easy, we did find that calling a car on the local app was a lot cheaper than the taxis or the Tuk Tuks. Street food is amazing and so cheap.. just look to see where the locals are eating and you can’t go wrong!,

Welcoming little town well worth visiting.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.
