We absolutely loved our stay at Thee Vijit Lanna. It was our favourite property that my family & I stayed in while on holiday in Thailand. Staff - so friendly and gorgeous! The swimming pool - stunning! The property grounds - beautiful! The size of the room and the fit out of the room - LOVED!!! also really enjoyed the breakfasts and the waiting staff were so lovely and kind. I would highly recommend and would love to come back and stay here again. Fabulous location!!

Hotel Smile Lanna is a true oasis of tranquility. It’s not your typical five-star chain hotel, but instead, it offers a lot of intimacy, unique decor, and an exceptionally dedicated staff. The level of customer service here is outstanding—the team is always smiling, attentive, and genuinely engaged in making your stay special. One thing that might take a little getting used to is the pool water, which is salty and mineralized. Children, in particular, may need some time to adapt, and even for adults, the first dip can be a bit surprising. However, the pool itself is wonderful—no crowds, plenty of free sun loungers, and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms, all featuring balconies, are well-designed and cleaned daily. A complimentary airport transfer is a great added convenience. Breakfast is generous and diverse, combining classic options with local flavors—there’s something for everyone. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to the Old Town and just steps away from a beautiful park entrance. We are truly grateful for a wonderful stay and would like to send our best regards to the entire hotel staff. We hope to return someday!

Best stay in Thailand we had. Beautiful, spotless, spacious rooms and a great pool. Breakfast was good, you get a sausage, egg, croissants, ham and salad. And each day there is a different thai side meal (like mango sticky rice). The best thing about the hotel is definitely a very helpful and friendly staff. They are amazing especially Mimi on the reception who was absolutely amazing, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The hotel has a good feel to it. They make you feel part of "The Crew" by posting friendly slogans against the walls. The free coffee machine is a big plus! The pool is stunning! (But cold) The rooms are squeaky clean, with comfortable bedding and pillows. We had to leave very early to cath a flight, so could not enjoy the breakfast, but the hotel packed a take away croissant in for us for the road. All and all, a very good experience!

Well this place is just a treasure. In a valley in the mountains. The main reception room and dinner rooms are spectacular. Bit and open to the elements. The pool area is well designed with 2 pool areas. Service is great. There are areas to meditate we used and really liked. Our room which was a upper mountain junior suite or something like that was just great. Big and tastefully designed. We spent a lot of time on the balcony which is big and private. We used this place to rest after 3 weeks travelling and it is just what we needed. It is a gem.

Lovely room with nice outside space. Nice walk to the swimming pool and dining area and the restaurant building was really elegant with a beautifully lit view and the reception area was very attractive too. Breakfast was good and the two dinners we had were high quality. I hope the resort will be able to encourage more people - I know the flooding in the area in October meant they had to cancel bookings. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful.

All people working here are super nice and supportive, the location is based in the heart of Chiang Mais old Town where every sunday a big night market takes place right in front of the hotel. Beautiful resort in mountain setting. Most of all, great service; everyone was very helpful and kind. Loved the breakfast and food at the "Higher Room." I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. Challenging to get there if you don't have your own...

Challenging to get there if you don't have your own transport, but you can order a taxi. Beautiful views and a small "town" where you can walk around, buy anything you need and good restaurants.

The homestay was perfect for us because we had a vehicle. It would be difficult for those who do not have a vehicle. We had a great time cycling around Mae Rim, including sections of the "Lanna Trail".

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai.

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air...

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air quality, which is a rare thing in Thailand. With lots of greenery and nature trails, you'll never get bored in this place. Food is also cheap and tasty. The people are nice and always smiling. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nature retreat.

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard...

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.

Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend.

Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.
