Nice and rich breakfast, very nice staff and helpful. Room was cozy and automated via air conditioning. We asked for making up the room and that was very fast. Place is near highway but the building is well built so you wont even notice. We we very happy to stay here. Pets ale welcomed for a fee per night.

The views of the wineries in the region from the pool and restaurants were amazing. The Bužinel Rebula wine was our favourite from a few of the different wineries that we tried. The whole operation is a small family run business and it was great getting to know a few of the hosts as they were so friendly. We had an amazing stay at Zoi Apartments in Goriška Brda, often called the "Slovenian Tuscany." Luca, the host, was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our No. 5 apartment offered a breathtaking private view of the vineyards and rolling hills, and the ample parking space made everything convenient (we arrived with a bigger van). Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway!

Great place with beautiful views! The apartment was clean, very functional and equipped with all the necessary equipment. Additionally, a very comfortable bed and charming balconies with views on both sides. Wonderful swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers and a beautiful garden. The location is very easy to find, free parking lot for guests. The conditions exceeds any expectation for 2 stars. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. Very good hotel, ideal for visiting Postojna or on the way to the Adriatic Sea. Very warm and courteous welcome, super rich and yet inexpensive breakfast. Despite its proximity to the main road, the room was very quiet. Air conditioning is available, but we didn't need it. We can fully recommend this hotel.

We didn't see much of it, we were on a flight between Tyrol and Bibione. During this short time we felt comfortable, the accommodation was good, the people were nice. Everything we needed was within reach. Thank you for your hospitality! We hope to see you again!

Dobrovo was a very nice area with some nice wineries, highly recommend Edi Simcic ~ Felix was amazingly fun. It was rainy during our stay, so we will unable to do ebikes, however this would be a great activity in better weather. Belvin was a nice restaurant nearby with grilled meats and vegetables, along with salads and pizza. Maravida House is a great Airbnb with a wonderful property (3 rooms) and a very kind and helpful host, Jacob!

Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between...

Divača is a quiet town/village on the railwy line between Ljubljana and Koper. It is very close to both Lipica and to skočjanske Jame. These caves are my favourites in Slovenia, although not to be visited if you have a problem walking.. The park surrounding the caves is very beautiful too. Divača itself is quiet, but has a Cinema museum, which is popular with those interested in early silent films. There area few trains three each day, and also a bus service during the week. Not at the weekend, however, as I found to my cost on another occasion when I drove a friend's car home for her - and then found there were no buses on Saturdays by which to travel back to the coast!, and the next train would have kept me late for my meeting. Luckily, there were others around to heading the same way. While Skočjam and Lipica are open all year, there are also smaller caves in the area which are open only in the tourist season. To drive there from the coast takes about 30 minutes, and about the same driving time will take you to Postojna and the more famous caves there, or to Predjamskigrad, an amazing Castle , most of which is inside the mountain, hence its name - the castle in front of the cave.

The area is absolutely stunningly beatiful!

The area is absolutely stunningly beatiful! (even more beatiful than the Vipava valley maybe in my opinion) Very rural area. Possible to do nice hikes, but the tourism infrastructure is more targeted at cyclists. No marked hiking routes, or trail descriptions. The potential for hiking is there though, but you need to do your own research. It is possible to hike from Branik over the ridge through the hilltop hamlet of Sveti Martin, down to the Vipava valley. Beautiful views of the Vipav valley from Sveti Martin. Then have lunch in Gostilna sivi Čaven Jasmina Čermelj in the village of Potoce, then back to Branik over the Preserje village. And I think, that it would also be possible to hike to the top of the mountain ridge south of Branik, to get a view of the Branica valley. Cycling, you get more mileage, if you don´t mind the hilly roads. There is a bus to the karst hilltop village of Stanjel. It is a walkable distance, but the road isn´t very nice. There are a fair amount of rural B&Bs, at farms and vineyards throughout the area, that are more difficult to get to by public transport. There is an excellent restaurant and pizzeria at Osterija Branik.

Great hiking trails but you really need a car to get around. We were on foot which limited what we could do. We walked over 12 km daily and did very little. Most of the places to visit were out of reach.

The caves were incredible - a great experience.

The caves were incredible - a great experience. We bought the ticket which also gave access to the vivarium. Make sure you dress warmly for both as the caves are very cold. There is a shuttle - an additional 2 Euros return- that takes you from the hotel car park to Predjama Castle. This was also so interesting and well worth a visit.

There are many things to see around. We visited Lipica farm and Koper town. We found very good food at decent price at "Gostlina Spark" restaurant, it is behind the "business incubator" center, across the street from Lidl supermarket.
