In particular really liked the payout of the bathroom, the breakfast (especially the friendly guy who is overseeing breakfast!), and it's great that you gey a discount at Soca Rafting if staying at the hotel.

Breakfast was a self help buffet with absolutely everything you desired.

We stayed in a Family Studio with Balcony with our dog. Everything was excellent and we would definitely stay again.
Check-in: hours are limited so make sure to arrive between those hours. The staff are very friendly and provided us with great information on nearby walks and hikes suitable for winter. The staff were also responsive to our messages via booking.com in advance of our trip.
Apartment: The apartment was extremely clean and the bed was really comfy. The bathroom was nice with a huge sink and powerful shower. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed; we had read some reviews and were not sure what would be there when we arrived, some said they didn't even have a kettle. But we had everything we needed - actually even more than we needed :) - pots, pans, roasting dishes, kettle, coffee maker, even things like a cheese grater and kitchen scissors, and all of it was extremely clean.
Location: lovely mountain views, a short downhill walk in to town, plenty of grass around (important when travelling with a dog :)). The town of Bovec is lovely. Apparently extremely busy in the summer. Small supermarket in town or a short drive to something bigger. We were there in the off-season (between Christmas and New Year) and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Great walks/hikes directly from the apartment or a short drive. All walks in the area are very well sign posted. Beautiful sightseeing (e.g. Slap Virje, Velika Korita).
Parking: plenty of parking and free right outside the apartment.

I will remember the time spent here by the kindness and the affection shown by Sonja and Gregor. Beautiful people make a beautiful home and they are filled with so much warmth. It was lovely spending time with them, talking to them. I came for one night but extended my stay. When I asked if there was any transport to go to the gorge, they took me in their car to show all the places around. A lovely room, which is very clean, and good aesthetics of the entire place with art everywhere, with all the necessary amenities and equipments. This place felt like home and I would definitely love to come back here. Also offered to drop me to a town on my onward journey. Sonja gave me a handmade beautiful souvenir too. I am so moved and happy for this heartwarming experience. If you come to Bovec, staying here is the best thing that can happen to you. Najlepša hvala Sonja and Gregor.

The hospitality of Ana and the owners was simply great. All were very kind and helpful. The chalet was extraordinary with an unique view towards the valley. Nothing was missing here. Fabulous setting, fantastic location: idyllic and romantic
Food and drinks are available for free all day long.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Alp. The hotel was very beautiful, located in a very quiet area, perfect for resting. The room we were assigned had a balcony with an amazing view and the bathroom was very large. Breakfast had a lot of variety and the scrambled eggs were especially great.

sauna was great, and apartment was very clean and comfortable. filter coffee machine was appreciated. owner was very lovely - I left my kindle at the accom and they drove it to my next accommodation in the other town for me!

The area is wonderful. The culture of the stay, is different from regular accommodation. It is a form of comfortable camping :D the shared areas were clean, and both staff and other guests were great.

Bovec is a great town for outdoor lovers - river trips and hiking. Some superb restaurants in the area with very reasonable prices for the quality - Bistro 9:45, Restaurant Mangrt. Not too touristy in September

Kobarid is a nice little town situated on Soča river between Tolmin and Bovec. There are numerous possibilities of outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, paragliding, kayaking or simply taking a dip in stunningly turquoise Soča. Short drive to Nadiža river which is also beautiful. Kozjak waterfall and hanging bridges are obligatory to visit.

Log pod Mangartom is an excellent base for all adrenaline activities. It’s a small place without nightlife, making it an ideal location for sports and outdoor enthusiasts. There are many foreigners, and it is filled with positive energy because the natural surroundings make you forget about the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I recommend early morning walks as the freshness, scents, meadows, and mountains will leave you breathless with their beauty.

Bovec is a great location - lovely small town with beautiful views and great activities in the surrounding areas. We particularly liked the white water rafting and would recommend giving it a go. Definitely see myself returning to Bovec some time.

Kobarid is a very charming place, ideal for an active vacation. However, there aren’t many cycling routes separate from the main road, which can sometimes feel inconvenient or less safe. Compared to other nearby towns, Kobarid is quite small.

No restaurants at all available (back in 2018 in Hotel Alpine there were awesome pizzeria), no shops - nearest is 12 km away in Bovec, church bells wake you up in 7 AM. Surrounding area is extraordinary beautiful, air is and water are first class.

Great location for walking, rafting, kayaking etc. It's a pretty town centre with two small supermarkets, and two big ones just on the edge of town. The cable car isn't working right now - might be a while before it is back in action. But the Soca River has to be seen to be believed - just amazing. The local tourist office were really helpful too. The range of restaurants is a bit limited - burgers seem to be the common theme - but the quality is great, if not the variety!! Great bar, Thirsty River, in the middle of town. Lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Felix Bar a great place with good food too.

Kobarid is a nice town by the river Soca with only cca 1000...
Kobarid is a nice town by the river Soca with only cca 1000 inhabitants, but as a regional center the town serves a cca 5000 heads strong community.
Worth to visit the Kobarski Muzej (WWI museum), the town center with the church, restaurants and very very good ice cream. Do not miss to climb up to the church and Italian monument, check out the Napoleonov most (Napoleon's bridge) and the Slap Kozjak (Kozjak waterfall). These are all accessible on foot. You can also take a tour following a marked hiking trail, see the beautiful nature, the mountains, the emerald color of the Soca river, historical monuments line WWI trenches and forts all along the river.
