HungaryPerfect place to stay to discover Tara National Park and the Uvac canyon area. The houses are new, they look exactly the same as in the photos. As other reviewers mentioned before, they are tiny houses so we had a bit of difficult time to fit all of our bags in the house (we were 4 adults) but for one night, it was all fine. The staff was amazing, very friendly and welcoming. We had dinner in their restaurant and also enjoyed the complementary breakfast - both were absolutely fantastic, fresh and local food, really tasty, with vegetarian options, too. We were not able to use the jacuzzi due to the cold weather in October but it is a plus if someone stays during the summer. Heating was perfect in the house. We hope to visit again!

The apartment is the best we have stayed in Balcanic countries, because of host's good taste, attentiveness to the details, big windows, natural materials, united style, a lot of space and very clean accommodation. The kitchen was well equipped and we could easily prepare the breakfast. The town center, restaurants and supermarket are near it. My strong recommendation!

Beautiful flowers and lots of greens surrounding apartments. So traditional and cozy. The location is awesome as the Sargan train just behind it and the bus stop in front. Quite and safe. I enjoyed my stay 100% and extended for another two nights. Hosts are very lovely and friendly. They even helped me with transportations to Tara national park and Visegrad. I also enjoyed just staying in the garden and relax my mind. Definitely worth spending a few more days here as this place has so much to offer.

The Location is in the very center of the city Bajina Basta, on the main square. If you travel with kids it's perfect spot since there is playground for kids, market and shops next to the Hotel. There are taxi drivers next to the hotel and are not expensive, for example you can get to Beli Bor - Kaludjerske Bare (16km away) for 10 Euros.

Small and clean room, very comfortable bath room, great host- a Serbian lady 82 years old, not a single word in English, but warm and offer home made drink, fruits, coffee, and communicate through Google translate. Great location, best view!

The house is made of a lot of wood, and is very comfortable. This was a great stop in the discovery of the South-West of Serbia. The staff recommended the excursion by train, which was an excellent idea.

The nature around is amasing.
The nature around is amasing. You can get there only bu car and driving narrow mountain roads can be a little bit stressful. But overall the national parks are an amazing place to spend a weekend or even a week.
There isn't a lot of places to eat or buy food, so you need to plan ahead. But a lot of accommodation options have kitchecns or grills.

I would definitely recommend getting a car, bringing some books and some nice warm clothing. There is plenty of hiking in the area and you are only 20 minutes away from the lake. Last time I was at Tara, I was staying at Mitrovac na Tari...
Last time I was at Tara, I was staying at Mitrovac na Tari and I can say I much prefer Kaludjerske Bare. There is more to see, more to walk arround, there are lovely hiking and walking trails called Trim staza and Staza ljubavi near hotel Omorika. You can also drink good coffee in the garden of hotel Javor and eat cheap meals right next to that, in express restaurant.
Unfortunately, for more you will have to travel by car since public transport on Tara is almost non-existing.
But if you are by car, a must-see are ofc Perućac and Zaovine lake, Banjska stena viewpoint, Ladjevac spring, Osluša viewpoint (and drinking coffee at the coffeeshop there with a view), Bilješka stena, waterfall Vrelo, Kruščica, Spajića lake and in the end when heading to Bajina bašta, I reccomend visiting Drina river house and eating in the restaurant Studenac with a view on Drina.

Mitrovac is a small place , we can say heart of the Tara...
Mitrovac is a small place , we can say heart of the Tara mountain.
It good location for start point for hiking trails to one of the best view point in Serbia - Banjska Stena ( 9 and 9a Trail). Also you can choose trail to Zboriste one of the top point of The Tara. Also is close to the Oslusa and Sokolina where you can find nice view points. Lake Zaovine is also near Mitrovac just ahead from the Mitorvac.
Nic place also for mountain biking.
For family Mitrovac gives quiet place and nice field for kids game, few education trails.

Sekulići is located at 1300 m above sea level.
Sekulići is located at 1300 m above sea level. Surrounded by forest and beautiful nature, it is an ideal place for walking or cycling. Just a few kilometers away is Zaovisnko jezero, Mitrovac, Bajna bašta and Drvengrad of world-famous movie director Emir Kusturica.

Kremna as a village has not much to offer, but Tara National Park and its surroundings are exquisite. If you want to explore Visegrad, the national park, the different viewpoints, lakes and rivers, Kremna is a good place to stay. There are 3 small, but effective grocery stores on the "main" street, there are 2-3 restaurants, and you have some cocks waking you up in the morning. If you crave for a good Slavic village vibe, you can have it in Kremna!

In other hand, we didn't have much privacy since mother of host always walks around our apartment and other guests park their car in from of our door. Besides that wi-fi is very poor and there are no range in and around accommodation.

The town is charming with small houses and trees. There is an atmosphere of easy living in the various cafes located in the central park and along the main street. Only a short way from the town, sceneries in the river Drina valley and Tara mountains are magnificent. A specialty is so called lake houses, many of them available for lodging.

A good quiet place for relaxing and hiking. The travel on the Osmica railway was excellent. If you travel on public transport, check the schedule on the internet. There is no information near the bus stop, and the bus Vishegrad-Belgrade can have a big delay due to border crossing procedures.
