An oasis of good taste, elegance and confort. Clean everywhere, silence, friendly staff, AC all over the place, good WI FI, confy bed and room, spotless bathroom, amazing food, attention for details. Cleaning ladies make no noise while cleaning, i haven’t heard once the vacuum cleaner, always with a smile on their faces and eager to help you. The food is plenty, fresh and super tasty. Everything for everybody. Great coffee. Lots of teenagers who work in the restaurant and at the beach. Spa is wow, we had a few rituals, Oriental for ladies and standard massage for my husband. Heavenly. Highly reccomend. We had a lovely 8 days stay. Thank you people from Iaki.

We have friends in Constanța so part of our time was spent...

We have friends in Constanța so part of our time was spent with them. We did have time however to walk from our hotel to the “Old Town”. There were a few restaurants and coffee shops open and we had the most fantastic hot chocolate at Cafe Bonjour. We also visited the Royal Mosque of Constanța. We understand that visiting at the end of October is not in “tourists season”. Many places were closed, but that was ok, we will just have to come again!

We loved the beautiful sea but sadly in mid October everything is closed on the sea shore. Shops, restaurants and any basic store. Nothing to do or see just walks and visit Constanța , which is so close to Mamaia. Better to stay in Constanța.

A lot of people have negative view of Romanian beaches and...

A lot of people have negative view of Romanian beaches and sea-sides, but it seems it is getting better and better each year. I would say that the entrance in the sea here is better than in Bulgaria's Albena which is good for children, of course the beach, is not so clean and comfortable but the see itself is quite good.

Eforie Nord is a seaside resort mostly visited by families. It has large sea beaches and immediate access to the Techirghiol lake and its beach and mud baths. There are many hotels, guest houses and restaurants mostly on the budget side. On the busy summer days, it gets pretty crowded, which overwhelms the limited parking infrastructure. Although visible efforts to make Eforie look more modern have been made in the recent years, the chaotic construction of hotels and villas, lacking any urbanism vision, during the past decades, make real improvement difficult. Unfortunately, Eforie Nord lacks any nightlife option, so one who hopes partying should choose other Black Sea resorts.

Mangalia is a quaint little town, and what I believe, the hidden gem of the Romanian litoral. A place for all, families with children, young couples, or friends having a little vacation. Low key and relaxing. Affordable too! Take it as is, and enjoy the unassuming and peaceful feeling that will suround you.

It depends where you go.

It depends where you go. Marina Surf Complex is great, see the review I posted for my 2024 booking. Of course there are other places with not such good conditions so be careful to fully read all the reviews.

Hardly a scam.

Hardly a scam. I booked the room for my girlfriend in Romania. First she wanted to stay one night, then two nights. So I canceled the first booking and made a second booking. Accidentally with the same date. I canceled this one too and finally made a third booking with the correct dates. I also communicated this with Vila Sibel and wrote several emails. No reply. My credit card bill was charged for all the bookings. My friend arrived and moved into the room. It bore no resemblance at all to the rooms pictured on the internet. She was shown into a small room, TV above the closet on the ceiling, curtains hanging down, torn, tiny bathroom. My friend stayed one night and went home again. This is all unacceptable and cheeky. Booking.com should consider carefully whether to continue advertising this “Vila”.

Serene place, much calmer than the nearby seaside (Eforie Nord). It is best for people who want to relax, rest and enjoy the lake surroundings, far enough from the hustle and noise of the seaside, but close enough if you want to go to the beach or Constanta.

The resort is dirty, at least the road to the beach. The beach terraces are the worst I've seen—dirty, with questionable service quality. The beach is only partially developed. There are no cafes. The restaurants remain unchanged, with the same communist-era vibe from 30 years ago, making you feel like you've stepped back in time. The only thing that has changed is the blaring manele music everywhere.

Love Vama Veche, for me it is the best place on the Romanian...

Love Vama Veche, for me it is the best place on the Romanian coast line. Some of the bars play the best music you will hear at the beach and it has a great free spirit about the place that you simply do not find at the other coastal resorts. If You cant find accommodation here then 2 Mai is a close second and worth a visit. The beach has also so far, escaped the awful beach extension program that has been taking place across Romania's beaches. The extended beaches are awful and lie walking on broken glass. Vama Veche still has sand :)
