LuxembourgThe hotel was fantastic, very modern and our room was upgraded to a suite in two floors. Of course we couldn't use so much space but it was nice anyway. Bedroom very comfortable. The swimming pool was good and the hot tub very appreciated. The views to the bay are also nice (although half of the view is towards the commercial harbour). It's not far from Praia da Vitória (walkable). Staff at the reception desk and at breakfast was very kind, enthusiastic and available. Breakfast was very good. We would definitely come back again to this hotel.

Very good breakfast in the morning, with a big selection of cakes that change every morning. The hotel has a big parking lot right next to it where guests can park the car. We had a great time at the hotel, which was all we needed. Would recommend it.

The view was breathtaking, and we could see the various yachts coming in and out. Although it was construction going on in the harbour, the views of the ocean and landscape took your breath away. It was scenic and breathtaking.
The rooms (2) were spotless, and had the usual amenities. This is our first time staying here, but it won't be our last.
Our breakfast had so much variety to choose from, and the many hot dishes, fruit, juices and of course the various breads were so well arranged. What a beautiful buffet, and we all enjoyed it.
The location could not have been better, as we only had a ten minute walk to the Shopping district. The hotel is set high on a hill, and the walk to and from the hotel enabled us to have and enjoy the many views.
The staff had gone out of their way to see that we were satisfied with our rooms. In fact, when we arrived their was a mix up with how many beds we had. The receptionist quickly sorted it out, and apologised for not having the extra bed made upon our arrival. To be honest, it was our fault, and we stated we had one child instead of two. Nevertheless I was extremely impressed as to how quickly our problem with the bed had been resolved.
Our sincerest thanks to all the staff at the Angra Marina Hotel, for making our stay enjoyable.
We look forward to returning next year.

You'll live surrounded by nature, right by the ocean. The place is easy to get to: no surprises. It’s farmhouse, but stylish. For example, a wooden ceiling, a vintage closet and a real stove next to a concrete loft-style floor.
Towels and bedding were really clean. Cleaning was done daily. You don't have to wash the dishes. The most amazing thing is that you will have fresh bread every morning before you wake up! And Alexandra, the owner, is constantly in touch. She is a caring, kind and unique woman who will solve any issue.
This place, probably, will not suit those who are used to vacationing in hotels. A lot off people, music, everyone relaxes by the pool, the staff walks around. And for those who wants that everything will be at their fingertips. You have to drive to the supermarket, restaurants, too. About 5-10 minutes by car. For the rest of us, this place is absolutely worth it! Highly recommended!!

Absolutely beautiful place with astonishing view of the ocean. The host - Hugo - is truly friendly and helpful person, taking fantastic care about his property. The swimming pool is perfectly clean, the grass around is literally English style, the sauna and fireplace ready to be used at any time. Every morning he is cleaning all the facilities to ensure you can have comfortable rest. The distance to the airport is good (25 min drive) and similar to the main towns and attractions. I can truly recommend this place for a vacation stay.

Beautiful.
Beautiful. There are many fascinating old buildings, cozy cafes, great beaches, and steep hills to climb. Great nature reserve at Monte Brasil. The people are very friendly. Quite a few facilities in this small little town. Very relaxing.

Being close to the airport, you can even walk there. It's right next to the beach, with access to water sports, bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Plus, you can easily get around using public transport. The receptionist who helped me with the booking process was very helpful and professional. I highly recommend this accommodation.

Go stay somewhere nicer on Terceira. I only stayed in the very windy village of Lajas for one night to be closer to the airport for my very early flight. There are some restaurants here but don't expect much. Praia do Vitoria is nearby if you like to hear airplanes overhead.

Its a small island formed from multiple volcano calderas. There are plenty of fantastic viewpoints. Its much less taken over by tourism than other bigger islands so you really feel authentic.
Food and drink is very cheap and even excursions/trips are fairly affordable. Car hire etc has less choice than a bigger island. We hired a 125cc scooter which was a great way to explore the island.
Many of the shops/bars speak English, but plenty of the locals do not. If you can learn a little Portuguese before you go it will definitely help.

There is not a lot going on in this town.
There is not a lot going on in this town. Most visitors spend only an hour or two at the shore. For the extra day Trilha Rocha do Chambra is an inland hike closer to Biscoitos than Angra. The shore walk to Quatro Ribeiras gives some good shore views. In late May it was cloudy every day; but no rain. There is one very food restaurant in town: Botequim o Baghulho.

Hilly nice little town with historical center and marina. Not easy to drive through and park, but excellent for walking. Not many souvenir shops, and lots of cheap Chinese fake products but comparing to other towns in Azores this one is quite big.
Bars, restaurants and bistros are there but these are not the best, they are sufficient though.
The natural reserve on peninsula with citadel and military base is extraordinary. Great view and experience, nice for picnic or hiking!

A very comfortable and pleasant town for living and staying, with very nice people, and an overall good atmosphere. There is enough to see and to enjoy, from food, ice-creams, and cafes. It also has a lovely small market where you can eat as well, and opposite a garden with a nice sitting area. It has all possible shops, a large grocery, it's surrounded by hills, and much green. There are many very nice old houses, nicely renovated
We are not young, so I can't say. There is a very nice and spacious beach with fine black sand
The town is a little bit on a hill, but by walking down, you can enjoy a very nice view of the sea. This is also the heart of the town.
Another good trip is a walk the monup the hill to ument. It can be walked from both sides, both offering very nice views all around.
Moving around without a car is quite difficult

I really liked Biscoitos because of the natural pools and the cafe where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. It also has bakeries and restaurants and a wine museum. The location is great for visiting the whole island. I would definitely choose to stay in Biscoitos again.

This is a historic town with interesting architecture, cute stores, good restaurants and a beautiful park area where (out on the point) where you can walk. We thought it had a lot more interest than towns on San Miquel island.

Praia da Vitoria is an interesting, clean, attractive town to walk around at any time of day. The people are friendly and helpful. The food outlets are varied, from quiet quality restaurants to burger bars and excellant coffee/cake shops. The transport links are good and the bus ride into Angra is not to be missed. Prices of food are a lovely surprise, for two people from €6 for latte and cake, €9 for coffee and sandwich, €20 for a main, beer and coffee to €50 for a three course with excellent wine. Beaches are clean and seem very safe.
