SpainOur stay at the Convento do Seixo was exceptional from the moment of our arrival (thanks, Flavio, from reception, for your dedication and kindness). A perfectly restored former 16th-century convent that preserves its historical essence without sacrificing modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, elegant, and very quiet, making them ideal for unwinding. We also enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool, which offered views of the surrounding mountains. It is also a Spa where I received a repairing circulatory massage (thanks, Vera, for your skills).
The staff were very friendly and attentive at all times, always ready to help. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant had excellent service (thanks, Cauan, for your attention and patience), well-presented dishes and surprising flavours.
Undoubtedly, a place to repeat and recommend. Ideal for a quiet getaway with charm with your partner.

Absolutely loved this hotel, the value for money was fantastic and the medieval buffet is definitely worth a visit and great value for money also with plenty of delicious food. The breakfast buffet was also a real delight, the staff that I interacted with were all very pleasant especially the reception lady,Angela I think her name was and Paulo at the medieval buffet service, room was spacious and very clean and good bathroom, the place is charming and not one of these modern soulless places. Highly recommend this hotel.

Wow an amazing hotel so much history. Stayed here for 2 nights. The breakfast is brilliant. There are loads of restaurants within walking distance but we ate at the one next door which was nice and very traditional. No bar but you’ve only got to ask for a beer and it’s brought out to you on the terrace. Reasonably safe for motorcycles parked at front of hotel, no access for cars due to bollards. Car park at side of hotel

Iliked very much staying in this hotel, all the atmosphere felt like home.
The room itself could have been a bit more spacious, but the rest was superb: the beds were super comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and good, parking just in front of the hotel. A small place but lovely, and the living/common area looked so tasteful and inviting. Thank you!

The place is absolutely beautiful, the staff is super friendly and walked me through all the details I needed to know. I got the superior tent, which has a jacuzzi and great view! The food was superb and I couldn't be more pleased! I wish I could have afforded a longer stay, because I never wanted to leave! I'm definitely coming back on the summer!

Covilhã is a wonderful place to stay, the gateway to nature trails and stunning landscapes. Nature lovers should keep away from Torre Serra da Estrela and discover the raw beauty of this huge natural park!

I was here for work, but added a day to go hiking in the Gardunha mountains. Good hiking trails, with good signposts. The tourism office offers brochures in English. I like the scale of the city: small & calm, but with a good variety of shops, bars & restaurants.

This is a hotel with a gorgeous view and with staff that are first class. I stayed here before, when it was a proper Pousada but losing that status has not lowered its standards. The restaurant staff were excellent, the food was OK

Unhais da Serra is a very small town.
Unhais da Serra is a very small town. It has one outstanding restaurant - As Thermas and another couple of ones that are good options as well. A couple of local shops that carry the delicious cheeses, charcuterie and liquors made in Serra da Estrela. We always stop to replenish or stock - we prefer the tiny mini-market, but the fancier shop has sweatshirts, slippers and interesting items as well.
It's the perfect get-away for rest and relaxation. We park the car at the H2otel and do walking to everywhere we need to go over the weekend. I'd say a 3-4 night stay is ideal.

It was an amazing place steeped in history!
It was an amazing place steeped in history! The walk to the castle is a must as there are beautiful views at every turn. You will find yourself awestruck trying to fathom how it was possible to create a town amongst the boulders. It’s truly an amazing and magical place.

Paul has fantastic conditions by its location/views of the mountain and a very nice small river, however needs further improvement to fully exploit such advantage. The park at the riverside lacks trails to be able to fully profit from the location. Adequate signaling is missing in the village.

Covilhã is very interesting to visit. Lots to see. Many restaurants and cafes. Taverna a Laranjinha is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. Staff just fantastic and food excellent.

Fundao is a great place with lots of beautiful walks and cute eateries. It's worth a visit to the surrounding villages that have peaceful walks and stunning views. Lovely warm and welcoming people.

I did not have a chance to see much in Castelo Branco thanks to the heatwave (above 40 degrees celcius), but from tourist guides and from what I heard it is worth visiting when the weather is a lot cooler in the future.
