It was simply a perfect vacation and the hotel was a major part of it. A really great place to stay ( very nice design, absolutely clean and an amazing roof top) in a perfect location (in the middle of Faro so everything is walking distance) and without exception very friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast had a vast variety and all was delicious. Room was comfortable and spacious even for a family of 4. Hotel is very clean and has a lot of facilities as well. Staff were all very friendly, parking was not a problem either. Free entrance to the aquapark is a great benefit.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stay. Perfect location. Excellent cleaning. Absolutely professional management and staff. Perfect food, view. Comfortable rooms. The whole stay was so incredible, we enjoyed every minute and hope we'll be able to come back. The staff is super friendly and pays attention to details, the communication was easy and fast and also available via whatsapp. We had breakfast and dinner included and the quality of the food was incredible, delicious & nutritious with the most beautiful view opportunities from the restaurants. The hotel is very family friendly and our toddler enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The gym is brand new and has a very good choice of machines also allowing a sweet view during your workouts. The private entrance to the beach is great and opens the floor to a magnificent landscape and very nice beach. Overall we are super happy to have been able to enjoy our holidays here – thank you!

We had a truly lovely stay at Solar Mendonça. The location is excellent – right in the center of Faro, just a short walk from the ferry terminal, the bus station, and many great local restaurants and cafés. Despite being so central, the place is peaceful and feels like a calm retreat. The rooms were spotless and tastefully decorated, with very comfortable mattresses. We appreciated the extra pillows and blankets provided in the room. The bathroom was well-equipped, especially for female travelers – shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion were all available and of good quality. Communication with the hotel management was outstanding. Everything was prepared in advance – we received all the access codes for the building and the room ahead of time, and we each had two key cards, which was very convenient. There’s also a rooftop terrace where you can sunbathe or relax. Although we didn’t use it much because we were mostly at the beach, we noticed the hotel thoughtfully provides special towels for the sun loungers. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return. It’s a cozy, clean, and well-run place that feels like home in the heart of Faro.
