SpainOur stay at the Convento do Seixo was exceptional from the moment of our arrival (thanks, Flavio, from reception, for your dedication and kindness). A perfectly restored former 16th-century convent that preserves its historical essence without sacrificing modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, elegant, and very quiet, making them ideal for unwinding. We also enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool, which offered views of the surrounding mountains. It is also a Spa where I received a repairing circulatory massage (thanks, Vera, for your skills).
The staff were very friendly and attentive at all times, always ready to help. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant had excellent service (thanks, Cauan, for your attention and patience), well-presented dishes and surprising flavours.
Undoubtedly, a place to repeat and recommend. Ideal for a quiet getaway with charm with your partner.

There are loads of restaurants within walking distance but we ate at the one next door which was nice and very traditional. No bar but you’ve only got to ask for a beer and it’s brought out to you on the terrace. Reasonably safe for motorcycles parked at front of hotel, no access for cars due to bollards. The scenery was stunning and we had a lovely circular walk on the small roads and tracks. We would have liked longer than one night here. We must give a shout out to Catia on reception. We were concerned about our next booking in Northern Spain. She was so helpful and reassuring after she was unable to contact the apartment owner. You were right Catia, all was fine and you are a star.

How can you describe a perfect place like *Quinta Das Levadas Dos Mouros Country House*?... - A real piece of paradise!
This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed in, with the most charming landlady - Dear Raquel.
A spectacular mansion in its beauty, elegant, warm and pampering, every item in it is tastefully chosen.
The large space, the comfortable beds, the light and the harmony... As well as the small details that make all the difference (In each bedroom there is a deck of cards with Inspirational Phrases for example). The estate has a pool to enjoy on hot days and hiking trails around it that lead to wonderful nature.
We accepted Raquel's offer and ordered dinner as well. The lovely Natalia prepared a meal for us that we enjoyed every bite of. Paired with good wine from the region - we had a perfect evening. In the morning, the hearty Ceilia prepared a particularly pampering breakfast for us, which started another perfect day for us.
We plan to come back here for sure, this time for 3-4 nights.
In our opinion, the place is worth a special trip to the area and certainly a great trip to the slate villages.

It was an absolutely perfect place to stay.
Everything is so clean, simple, and elegant in this hotel. The stuff is very helpful, and they really do their best to offer us great, comfortable time.
Breakfast with the view and with so many delicious taste was outstanding, and the spa facilities were just as convinient and satisfying.
I would like to give a great thanks for Maria, who was especially helpful and kind to us.
The main element behind this great place is all this hard working, humble and kind-hearted people who do their diligent job every single day, to create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere for others.
Thank you for everything.

We really Loved it. Perfect for a night or 2 if you are passing nearby. The service we got from the receptionist and the dinner chef was more than expected, especially the out-of-menu dishes they made for our kids. Really appreciate the effort done for us. Room is exactly needed size with comfortable beds and balcony with a view. Outdoor and indoor pools and , lovely spa. Thank you for a wonderful short stay. wish we could have stayed another night

The place is absolutely beautiful, the staff is super friendly and walked me through all the details I needed to know. I got the superior tent, which has a jacuzzi and great view! The food was superb and I couldn't be more pleased! I wish I could have afforded a longer stay, because I never wanted to leave! I'm definitely coming back on the summer!

It's very peaceful and quiet. Allows you to enjoy nature from morning sun to the stars on the night sky.

I was here for work, but added a day to go hiking in the Gardunha mountains. Good hiking trails, with good signposts. The tourism office offers brochures in English. I like the scale of the city: small & calm, but with a good variety of shops, bars & restaurants.

Unhais da Serra is a very small town. It has one outstanding restaurant - As Thermas and another couple of ones that are good options as well. A couple of local shops that carry the delicious cheeses, charcuterie and liquors made in Serra da Estrela. We always stop to replenish or stock - we prefer the tiny mini-market, but the fancier shop has sweatshirts, slippers and interesting items as well.
It's the perfect get-away for rest and relaxation. We park the car at the H2otel and do walking to everywhere we need to go over the weekend. I'd say a 3-4 night stay is ideal.

Tabua is near the motorway network taking you all over Portugal and near some beautiful countryside. Its a typical town in central Portugal. Not too small, not too big, Some excellent coffee and cake shops.

Our host was kind and generous with her time answering our many questions. She bakes the most delicious cakes and serves a wonderful cup of coffee in a charming old world setting. The location is isolated, yet shouldn't be missed. Just enough choices of eateries in the town square.

I did not have a chance to see much in Castelo Branco thanks to the heatwave (above 40 degrees celcius), but from tourist guides and from what I heard it is worth visiting when the weather is a lot cooler in the future.

Lousã is a larger town than expected but not much in terms of things to do other than the schist villages nearby. You need a car to get around and you do need to plan ahead as restaurants do close between lunch and dinner. Also, most restaurants are not dog friendly and mainly only cafés have outdoor seating, so it's not an option to bring your dog to dinner. Overall it was a beautiful visit and it's a peaceful place to be.

Exquisite scenery, well placed for exploring the Serra, with a reasonable number of cafes/restaurants given the size of the village. It was easy to get around (small diversion in place for roadworks) but it was off season.
