Amazing place in a beautiful setting with super helpful staff who clearly take pride in this wonderful experience. Pools are lovely and relaxing with lots of different areas of bubbles / jets / saunas/ steam room etc. rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Food is amazing with lots of choices ( we are vegetarian) and the even the breakfast coffee tastes lovely! ( unusual!)

Everything was just perfect! Everyone was very kind and welcoming. A very nice garden with a pool and nice view. Breakfast has great variety and quality. And the restaurant is one of the best I have dined in Portugal. We will be back for sure.

Our stay at the Convento do Seixo was exceptional from the moment of our arrival (thanks, Flavio, from reception, for your dedication and kindness). A perfectly restored former 16th-century convent that preserves its historical essence without sacrificing modern comfort. The rooms were spacious, elegant, and very quiet, making them ideal for unwinding. We also enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool, which offered views of the surrounding mountains. It is also a Spa where I received a repairing circulatory massage (thanks, Vera, for your skills). The staff were very friendly and attentive at all times, always ready to help. The breakfast was excellent. The restaurant had excellent service (thanks, Cauan, for your attention and patience), well-presented dishes and surprising flavours. Undoubtedly, a place to repeat and recommend. Ideal for a quiet getaway with charm with your partner.

Very friendly family run place. They went out of their way to provide me with a vegan breakfast which was very much appreciated. It's a great place, super clean, spacious rooms, and a cafe next door. There is safe off-street parking which is locked at night. All in all a great place to stay.

Entering this ancient xisto town with its steeps hills and adorable cobble stoned streets was incredible. Cars are parked at the entrance of the village, and we proceeded on foot for the next 100 meters to get to the room. It felt like traveling 100 years back into time, it was fantastic. The elevation of the location is pretty high, which means the views of the surrounding area are breathtaking. All you will hear here are birds chirping and the rustle of leaves. The staff is very welcoming and everyone made sure our room was tidy, and that we had everything we needed. The breakfast options are numerous and the quality was very good. Having access to a pool was refreshing in the midday heat. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to visit again soon! We heard about this place through (instagram) @vivacoimbra

It was an absolutely perfect place to stay. Everything is so clean, simple, and elegant in this hotel. The stuff is very helpful, and they really do their best to offer us great, comfortable time. Breakfast with the view and with so many delicious taste was outstanding, and the spa facilities were just as convinient and satisfying. I would like to give a great thanks for Maria, who was especially helpful and kind to us. The main element behind this great place is all this hard working, humble and kind-hearted people who do their diligent job every single day, to create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere for others. Thank you for everything. I will definitely recommend this place to my frends amd family💛

Very nice hotel with beautiful views. We stayed in a junior suite with was very comfortable with huge bathroom and private balcony. Very good bed and spacious room. Staff was welcoming and trough out our 3 night stay attentive. Great area for hiking our just relaxing at the large outdoor pool. Food in the restaurant was very good and affordable. We were very happy to choose this accommodation in rural Portugal.

The location is amazing, all the amenities are top notch and make you want to stay for weeks or even move definitely here. It's very peaceful and quiet. I was here for work, but added a day to go hiking in the Gardunha mountains. Good hiking trails, with good signposts. The tourism office offers brochures in English. I like the scale of the city: small & calm, but with a good variety of shops, bars & restaurants.

Unhais da Serra is a very small town. It has one outstanding restaurant - As Thermas and another couple of ones that are good options as well. A couple of local shops that carry the delicious cheeses, charcuterie and liquors made in Serra da Estrela. We always stop to replenish or stock - we prefer the tiny mini-market, but the fancier shop has sweatshirts, slippers and interesting items as well. It's the perfect get-away for rest and relaxation. We park the car at the H2otel and do walking to everywhere we need to go over the weekend. I'd say a 3-4 night stay is ideal.

Tabua is near the motorway network taking you all over...

Tabua is near the motorway network taking you all over Portugal and near some beautiful countryside. Its a typical town in central Portugal. Not too small, not too big, Some excellent coffee and cake shops.

Our host was kind and generous with her time answering our many questions. She bakes the most delicious cakes and serves a wonderful cup of coffee in a charming old world setting. The location is isolated, yet shouldn't be missed. Just enough choices of eateries in the town square.

Paul has fantastic conditions by its location/views of the mountain and a very nice small river, however needs further improvement to fully exploit such advantage. The park at the riverside lacks trails to be able to fully profit from the location. Adequate signaling is missing in the village.

Fundao is a great place with lots of beautiful walks and cute eateries. It's worth a visit to the surrounding villages that have peaceful walks and stunning views. Lovely warm and welcoming people.

I did not have a chance to see much in Castelo Branco thanks to the heatwave (above 40 degrees celcius), but from tourist guides and from what I heard it is worth visiting when the weather is a lot cooler in the future.

Lousã is a larger town than expected but not much in terms...

Lousã is a larger town than expected but not much in terms of things to do other than the schist villages nearby. You need a car to get around and you do need to plan ahead as restaurants do close between lunch and dinner. Also, most restaurants are not dog friendly and mainly only cafés have outdoor seating, so it's not an option to bring your dog to dinner. Overall it was a beautiful visit and it's a peaceful place to be.
