Czech RepublicThe online/sms communication with the host was super easy. The key was ready, we did not have any problems getting in the apt. There were enough parking places in front of the apt building. The apt itself was great - the bed as well as the couch were comfortable, everything was spotless clean. We found all we needed in the kitchen for easy cooking. The apartment is quite small but there was enough room in the cabinets and wardrobes to put our stuff in, so we were not tripping over bags. The days were quite hot when we stayed there but it was ok with the fan that was there. I really like the surroundings - it was quiet and I felt very safe there. It was a 15 min drive to the entrance to the beautiful Bialowieza forest, so ideal for us.

Also the host helped us finding a tour guide, for the day after! And the price was cheaper than a lot of tours online! We stayed one extra day because we truly loved it!

Awesome! A fantastic place to enjoy nature. I believe it is probably located in the best location for visiting tourist attractions in the area, as well as being close to amenities. It was very comfortable, quiet and perfect for us who self catered and arrived by public transport (there are also plenty of restaurants in the village and plenty of parking). The private deck and large windows were great to gaze at nature. We loved Bialoieza and had the opportunity to visit the protected zone which lived up to expectation and also to see wild Bison. Agnieszka, your host is born and bred in the village, is extremely accommodating and available to offer local information and organise opportunities to see wildlife. We had such a peaceful stay and in retrospect should have stayed longer that the 3 days we had as there is quite a lot to see and do for a small village or just to chill out. It was surprising how few other tourists were around compared to other parts of Europe. We loved the whole experience 😊

The hosts were really friendly and the accomodation really very nice for my stay in Bialowieza. The room I was given was of a lovely size with a spacious shower room. A well kitted out kitchen was downstairs.
The hosts have put so much into the place. It is bright and green with paintings hanging on the walls. And the garden? The garden is beautiful, you can tell much love has gone into that garden.
The property is located pretty centrally in Bialowieza, just a short walk from the National Park and a larger shop. There is a bike rental place right next door. A great and welcoming place to stay in the beautiful Bialowieza.

OMG an amazing location in Bialowieze Forest close to the Belarusian border. Stayed in one of the railway carriages, such a novel and incredible experience. Carriage was comfy, roomy and very very special. Restaurant in the adjacent old stations building was perfect. Worth the long drive to get there.

This property was just perfect but what is standing out is the owner Mr. Jan who is very kind and helpful. The location is outstanding to at the entrance to Białowieża just next to a big glade where you can see storks and other wildlife ☺️

If you enjoy wilderness and forests, this is the place for...
If you enjoy wilderness and forests, this is the place for you. I advise getting a guide (compulsory in some areas) to learn about the forest ecosystem and its most famous residents, the bison.
Getting around town is very easy - it's not big! We went in November, so definitely not the high tourist season, and the weather cooperated. The town was almost empty, the forest smelled of autumn and was changing colors.
If you're after night-life and clubs, this is not the place for you. If you crave Nature, this is definitely a good choice.

Hajnówka is a peaceful town right next to the Białowieża Forest, one of Europe’s last primeval woodlands. It’s a great spot for nature lovers, with easy access to forest trails and chances to spot bison. The town also has a unique mix of cultures, best seen in its striking Orthodox church and local Belarusian influences. Perfect for a quiet getaway close to nature and for testing Podlasie cuisine. Local specialties include babka ziemniaczana, placki ziemniaczane or pierogi and for desser, marcinek is a must!

Wonderful natural area, fascinating walks all around. We met wild bisons on one walk! The town itself has most of the things a traveller requires and is a delight with its varied Polish styles of building and much charm and plenty to look at. We came by train to Hajnowka and then bus to Bialo; you have to time this carefully as the buses are infrequent. Bikes can be hired in town which was great for us.

Great place for wildlife watching, or even if you just want...
Great place for wildlife watching, or even if you just want to get away from the city and relax in a quiet little village. Car's needed because this is a rather remote area, and if you want to visit nearby trails and towns you're not going to do it with public transport. Any trail you can find here is worth visiting, and even just strolling around the Palace Park and the main road you can have a good birdwatching experience. Most of the restaurants on the main road are good, but Biesiada is really great, with delicious homemade local food (babka ziemniaczana recommended).
