Carpe Diem Resort Review Our initial reservation was for three days, but we decided to extend our stay because of how well we felt. From the first moment we arrived, we found ourselves in a carefully decorated, pleasant, and clean space, where the connection with nature is truly felt. The rooms are spacious and spotless. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous supply of towels and the presence of a bathroom with exterior windows, always well ventilated. The cleaning team is highly professional, ensuring a consistently clean and welcoming environment. The pool is perfectly landscaped and impeccably maintained. The resort staff stands out for their professionalism and empathy, offering a warm and attentive service at all times. The resort's design is very well thought out. The dining room, located outdoors and surrounded by lush vegetation, provides a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. A special detail is the large sign with the phrase Carpe Diem, which, besides being an inspiring motto, is precisely my favorite. At this point in life, I know that time is the most valuable thing we have. We don't have to wait for the perfect moment, because the moment is now. I want to give a special mention to Jayson for his great professionalism and dedication. Without a doubt, a magnificent stay that I would recommend to anyone looking for comfort, nature, and exceptional service

The staff here were incredible. We had a minor issue (miscommunication) with a couple of tour operators which we had booked through the hotel. They went above and beyond to sort the problem - it's very much appreciated. Our room also had a leak on the first night (stormy weather) so we were moved the next day and received complimentary cocktails. The hotel is beautiful, free massages, lovely pool and stunning view. Plus free transfer to the airport and mall. Our favourite place we stayed in the Philippines. Thank you so much.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a lovely pool and lounge area. The breakfast had great variety and was very nice, they also served dinner there. It is a walking distance from the main shopping mall, and it is not very far from the airport.

The most important things to do here its the underground...

The most important things to do here its the underground river located in a cave about 2h drive away from the hotel by van to the National park. Also its nice to travel down the south for Balabac but I personally picked North up to El Nido for more Island Hoppings.

Need to have more efficient traffic management during peak hours. The LGU should improve, sustain and maintain infrastructure esp the port and the walkway.. When we went to the port to buy streetfood the stalls are sitting in rough ground and very muddy after rain. It is not good to see for visitors to walk around and wondering where tourism tax are spent for? More people will have a fruitful stay in the city if the place is worth staying for few more days befire heading to E Nido and other popular places..

Every day I walked from the hotel to Sabang wharf on the beach and on one day had coffee, adobo and itlog in a small cafe there. Everyone was very friendly, and I bought some Pasalubong, when they did not have my tee shirt size, they went to another shop to get it for me and to get change when I gave them 1000 peso note. I asked directions to the falls, but no one was exactly sure where it was or how long it would take to get there. The place was secure (police station at the wharf and coastguard and army regularly on patrol in the area. I eventually found the park that a friend recommended (5 km from the hotel) and had an excellent buffet lunch there twice and again they made Chester very welcome, the park was free and had some interesting, recycled artworks and a tribute to the devastation in the area by Typhoon Odette- well worth a visit. Also visit Buenavista viewpoint- the local community run it and you can get Buko juice, coffee, snacks and Pasalubong plus take great photos of the bay

We did the underground river tour.

We did the underground river tour. It was rainy but still worth it. It was one of the most unique experience for us to see how the river caves formed and all the different stalagtites and stalagmites formation Other attractions we would probably like to see is Honda Bay.
