Exceptional service throughout our stay from everyone we came into contact with. Helped with booking trips and providing tips. Great rooftop pool area for relaxing. Rooms were excellently equipped. Had a lovely stay at Paruparong Ecofarm. The room was beautiful, spacious and verry clean. I loved the hospitality and personal aproach from the host, cooking meals upon request and also helping me with organising a jungle hike tour with local guide which was my wish to make (and would verry much reccomend to do)! O yes, and the vegatables in the food came from their own garden, I loved it :). The farm is also beautiful, permaculture style. Would verry much recommend staying here!

The staff was very friendly and helpful - always catering to our needs. We had a delicious complementary dinner and breakfast. We were also allowed to use their scooters for free :) The villa itself needs no further explanation. Newly built, very modern, comfortable and luxurious. Our stay at El Nido Resorts Pangulasian was truly unforgettable. Surrounded by stunning nature, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking sunsets, the resort offers the perfect mix of luxury and tranquility. We stayed in a beautifully decorated and well-equipped beach villa with a stunning sea view. The food and drink options were excellent, and the choice of activities was fantastic. A highlight was our 4-hour private boat tour, where starting early at 7 AM allowed us to enjoy El Nido’s most beautiful spots in peaceful solitude. We happened to come across a school of about a hundred dolphins who were curious enough to approach all around our boat. The hospitality was outstanding. Special thanks to Younes, the Food and Beverage Director, who made our stay memorable—just as he did during our honeymoon at Raffles Maldives four years ago. Also, a big thank you to Anton (the waiter), Anton (the guide), and Rei (the experience assistant) for their exceptional service. El Nido Resorts Pangulasian is a dream destination for anyone seeking luxury, adventure, and natural beauty. Highly recommended!

I am in love with Maremegmeg! I love everything about this place. I cannot think of any negative/bad experience here. Let me start with the place. It is located in a quiet area of El Nido. They have a very good and clean beach front. They have a very clean pool as well. Staff- every single one of them are courteous, highly trained and really know what they are doing. They are friendly and they really deliver well. From restaurant, front office, housekeeping, tours etc. Ask them anything, they will deliver it. Food- Very very good food. We tried almost everything on the menu. Great for family, couples or even business. We will definitely go back.

I really enjoyed town, but nacpan and duli area also nice...

I really enjoyed town, but nacpan and duli area also nice places to stay! Lio is another nice spot to stay. Town is good if you like going out to eat, and see a lot of things But staying in lio, nacpan or duli is also nice if you want a more peaceful, quiet time. even sibaltan would be nice (check out the manta rays if you dive)

The wow factor was definitely at Twin Lagoons and Kayangan Lake. Loved swimming and snorkelling although coming from Australia, the corals and fish were a bit underwhelming. Plenty of cafes and restaurants in Coron Town. We especially liked the french restaurant Armihan Bistro, Poco Deli (next door to Epic Cafe) and Le Voyage. All catered for Gluten Free meals as well. Tuk Tuks are plentiful and easy to catch. 50 pesos for 2 peoples to take you anywhere within the town boundaries. We also walked to the hilltop lookout Mt Tapayas .. but beware, there's 720 steps to climb to get to the top from the car park!!!

We did the underground river tour.

We did the underground river tour. It was rainy but still worth it. It was one of the most unique experience for us to see how the river caves formed and all the different stalagtites and stalagmites formation Other attractions we would probably like to see is Honda Bay.

Absolutely!

Absolutely! San Vicente really flies under the radar compared to El Nido and Coron, but that’s part of its charm. It’s less crowded, more laid-back, and still boasts those stunning, unspoiled beaches—especially the 14-kilometer Long Beach, which feels like a hidden gem. The slower pace and warm, genuine hospitality from the locals really give it that authentic "island life" vibe. It’s perfect for people looking to relax, connect with nature, and avoid the more tourist-heavy scenes. Some even say it’s what El Nido felt like 10 or 15 years ago.

Every day I walked from the hotel to Sabang wharf on the...

Every day I walked from the hotel to Sabang wharf on the beach and on one day had coffee, adobo and itlog in a small cafe there. Everyone was very friendly, and I bought some Pasalubong, when they did not have my tee shirt size, they went to another shop to get it for me and to get change when I gave them 1000 peso note. I asked directions to the falls, but no one was exactly sure where it was or how long it would take to get there. The place was secure (police station at the wharf and coastguard and army regularly on patrol in the area. I eventually found the park that a friend recommended (5 km from the hotel) and had an excellent buffet lunch there twice and again they made Chester very welcome, the park was free and had some interesting, recycled artworks and a tribute to the devastation in the area by Typhoon Odette- well worth a visit. Also visit Buenavista viewpoint- the local community run it and you can get Buko juice, coffee, snacks and Pasalubong plus take great photos of the bay

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.

A delightful quiet backwater and so far less developed town. The beaches were beautiful and mostly clean. The town has plenty of activities to offer and places to eat. The whole place is walkable but you may want a Tuktuk or moped to visit further beaches.

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed...

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weather

El Nido has so many fun things to do, and we liked that while there were a plentitude of tourist options, we were not separated from local culture and activities that sometimes happens in other places. We were only there for four days, and we could have stayed another week. The beaches are beyond stunning, both the ones you can walk to and the ones that need a boat. The snorkeling was fantastic, the food options endless, and the vibe was chill and fun.

The calamian group of islands of which Coron is part of, is beautiful. And I hope all the measures to keep it pristine and unlittered will be successful always. There are many breathtaking sights. You would need a sizable budget though to be able to enjoy the boat tours which are wonderful. If you have the time, visit Culion. It is historical (a UNESCO site), and while the places to see could do a little tidying up, nevertheless, the history of that place invites reflection and inspires--many heroic people lived on that island. Kudos to the religious who have kept the place going since it was first established. The Culion museum should be your first stop.
