An amazing stay at Alon: rainshower, comfortable bed, impeccable attention to detail and freshly-made delicious breakfast! With the rooms decorated with local art and with the gorgeous scenery of the rice fields right outside, I felt immersed in peace and nature. But what really made my stay special is the attention and care by the wonderful hosts Pierre Yves and Carl. They really put their hearts and souls into making sure I felt at home! The location is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of touristic spots, but close to the beautiful El Nido beaches.

The best place to stay in El Nido! The hotel is located in a very quite street but near by to all cafés and restaurants. Staff are super helpful and nice, always helped us with all requests. You can also book tours from them and bikes. The room was very comfy equipped with high class facilities! If I come back to El Nido, I would definitely stay there again, you guys are amazing

If you are looking for a simple cabin, where you can enjoy some peace and quiete, then this is the place. Even though it is located in the middle of the jungle there are two descent options for lunch and dinner close by, and White Beach is only 10-15 minutes walk from the property. Internet connection is also good. Moreover, Nico and Jimmy are wonderful hosts, who are open to share tips and tricks about Port Barton and travel stories. NB: if you are not ready for a bumpy ride in a tricycle through the jungle in order to get to the accommodation don’t go here. But if you are up for an adventure and eventually ready to push the tuktuk through mud (if is has been rainy) this accommodation is highly recommendable for a 2-5 nights stay in Port Barton! We loved it!

Astoria Palawan is a perfect vacation paradise. Inside the resort that covers a large area, there are villas, pristine beach, water park, three infinity swimming pools, trees and grassland, artwork and sculptures. There is a restaurant and bar in the resort that offer excellent breakfast and dinner, both of which are buffet. The room is spacious and clean. There is also a fitness gym but equipments is not that many. The hotel offers shared van transportation service from Puerto Princesa airport to the hotel for PHP 500, which is reasonable. The staff is friendly and helpful. For example, the hotel offers transportation service from the hotel to El NIdo for PHP9000, when I told them this price is sort of expensive, they help me to stop a passing bus going to El Nido.

Staff, location, facilities, breakfast, security, cleanliness. We stayed in the Harbour wing with a pool access - good value for money. Then we moved to the Water Villa towards the end of our stay - what an exceptional room to stay in. This place is amazing. We WILL be back. To all the staff members that helped make our stay pleasant: Khai, Jorge (driver), Josie, Dimple, Cly, Vivian, Ruth, Chris, John, Alvin, Mabelle, Beth, Shane, Ricky & Sharlyn. The Tuk-Tuk drivers outside the resort: Ricky, Tong-Tong & Nick, cheers fellas. To the others may have forgotten - please blame my head not my heart. Maraming Salamat - Mabuhay. Great location in Puerto Princessa, local transport's available on the main road just outside of the resort whenever you need it. They'll also arrange your transport around the rest of Palawan which made things easy. The staff as well as the manager were incredible - very helpful people and accommodated my girlfriend and myself fantastically. The site is well maintained and the rooms are spacious and very clean with a great wifi connection. If you're looking for comfort and a beautiful place to relax with everything you need than look no further. This gem in Puerto Princessa has it all and you get more than what you paid for.

Unique and luxury experience. Lovely island, amazing coral reefs just 10 meters from the beach. The bed was the biggest I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Breakfasts are great. The restaurant is also mainly great, though some positions like pizza are much worse in quality and taste than other dishes. Lots of things to do on an island and also several tours available. Would definitely come back again and already recommended to many of our friends.

The damage from the previous typoons is still present.

The damage from the previous typoons is still present. There are numerous bars, I recommend the Pacifico Bar, they have Octoberfest sized mugs to hold the Red Horse Beer. It is 50 Pesos each way from the hotel to town and back. On the island tours, the outhouses are the absolute bare minimum, a toilet, no seat, no tank, no TP, a bucket and a ladle and no sink. Wear grippy water shoes, the stairs are slippery. Go see the Coral Garden, elsewhere all the other fish are <5" and no coral. Unless you go to the the Coral Garden, the crystal kayak is a waste of money. Still I had a great time, the staff did an amazing job, life is an adventure!

Need to have more efficient traffic management during peak hours. The LGU should improve, sustain and maintain infrastructure esp the port and the walkway.. When we went to the port to buy streetfood the stalls are sitting in rough ground and very muddy after rain. It is not good to see for visitors to walk around and wondering where tourism tax are spent for? More people will have a fruitful stay in the city if the place is worth staying for few more days befire heading to E Nido and other popular places..

Absolutely!

Absolutely! San Vicente really flies under the radar compared to El Nido and Coron, but that’s part of its charm. It’s less crowded, more laid-back, and still boasts those stunning, unspoiled beaches—especially the 14-kilometer Long Beach, which feels like a hidden gem. The slower pace and warm, genuine hospitality from the locals really give it that authentic "island life" vibe. It’s perfect for people looking to relax, connect with nature, and avoid the more tourist-heavy scenes. Some even say it’s what El Nido felt like 10 or 15 years ago.

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit,...

If you're looking for a beautiful tropical island to visit, put this one on your list. It's relatively uncrowded, the people are very pleasant and the vistas are jaw dropping. If you are a diver, and have an interest in WWII, you will find an incredible 11 Japanese wrecks to dive. I'd recommend Pirate Divers, they are very professional and very conservative when it comes to evaluating risks. They also know the wrecks like their second home. Coron is a bustling town with good food and pleasant people, but the beauty of the island is the back country. I liked it enough in December that I'm returning in February. To get around, I'd suggest renting a scooter. If you are new to powered two wheel vehicles stay out of Coron, and pay attention to the roads, there are some surprisingly tight turns. Otherwise, since it is relatively uncrowded you should be fine.

If you intend to visit Palawan you need to be more informed than I was. The Philippines are a poor country. Accommodation is cheap and as such you get what you paid for - No hot water, some cockroaches, you cannot swim in the water because of the jellyfish, plenty of sandflies and no shop to get any relief medication. There is no way to move around unless you organize transfers that cost you as much as your accommodation. A must see if you would like to see the culture. We were unable to snorkel due to weather

The wow factor was definitely at Twin Lagoons and Kayangan Lake. Loved swimming and snorkelling although coming from Australia, the corals and fish were a bit underwhelming. Plenty of cafes and restaurants in Coron Town. We especially liked the french restaurant Armihan Bistro, Poco Deli (next door to Epic Cafe) and Le Voyage. All catered for Gluten Free meals as well. Tuk Tuks are plentiful and easy to catch. 50 pesos for 2 peoples to take you anywhere within the town boundaries. We also walked to the hilltop lookout Mt Tapayas .. but beware, there's 720 steps to climb to get to the top from the car park!!!
