Everything is to like: the place is brand new, in very good taste, perfectly clean, the location is very nice (you can do some snorkeling just there, with a bit of luck you can even spot small cute octopuses 🥰🐙), the staff is very helpful and the Chef very talented, so you need not look any further for a good meal.

It was more then I could ever expected. I was welcomed in the morning far earlier then check-in time, as I was tired I was allowed to check-in early. Not only the place is SUPER NICE, clean, you have all the facilities - a kitchen, a washing machine, lots of books and free mangoes dropping from the tree but the people are super nice! They are like a family, which you are going to be a part of if you decide to stay there. They made me feel welcomed and safe. This was the best decision I could make to stay there. Thank you for all!

This is a very small (5 bungalows as far I know) hotel and ours was just beautiful. The entire place is very tastefully decorated (mixture of local and European styles) and just the thing of you adore beautiful surroundings. There is a large deck right over the lagoon with more than enough sunbeds, tables for all the guests (no fighting over the best sunbeds necessary). The shallow reef is wonderful for snorkelling, with corals and fish right there. In the evening, sharks and stingrays swim by. There are also kayaks and snorkelling gear for rent - a popular stingray spot is not far away. The location is beautiful and the deck means boat excursions can drop you off or pick you up right there. There is one well-stocked general store nearby and nice restaurants doing delivery. Staff was amazing, too! And the wifi was about the fastest in all the islands.

Out of our entire trip which included several stays in Tahiti and Moorea, this one was by far the most special. We had a lagoon facing bungalow which meant we could leave our sliding door open at night to hear the ocean and feel a breeze. The mosquito net provided worked wonders, and added to a restful sleep. We knew facilities were limited and are avid campers so had basic crockery, utensils and a hydroboil (portable mini gas stove) which we used to make coffee and cook some meals. The fridge and freezer provided enabled us to shop once and keep everything we needed cold and fresh. The snorkling off the property was spectacular and probably our preferred amongst the other adjacent beaches. The outdoor shower was great too! We saw dolphins, sharks, a stingray and heaps of fish from our little deck while drinking coffee in the mornings and enjoyed even the rainy days in the calm, reading books and staring at the landscape.

Incredible place! Amazing scenery with great, easy access to hiking on the island and to Paopao/Cook's Bay. The lodge itself is beautiful and we could have (and did) spent an entire day roaming the grounds admiring the plant life and the views from the area. Some incredible hidden easter eggs there as well (ask Julien about the eel!!). Julien was incredibly welcoming and it was so fun learning about the area from him. The breakfasts that he cooks in the mornings are delicious and nourishing, and were a great start to a busy day exploring the island. I felt like I missed the lodge the moment we hopped onto the ferry to go back to Pape'ete. Staying there was a major highlight of our time in French Polynesia.

The accommodation is fantastic; it has everything you need. The beach is beautiful and very clean, and the water is crystal clear. There's a small supermarket nearby that has everything you need. The house was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. There's a large parking lot, and you can even buy Nespresso capsules, laundry detergent, and dishwasher tablets at the reception. The staff is very friendly and helpful; we would definitely book again.

We loved the over water bungalow. The glass in the floor made for great "fish TV". Snorkeling off the public dock area was amazing. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Proximity to the grocery store was very useful. The grounds and pool area were very well maintained and beautiful. Dinah, the concierge, was very helpful in organizing a tour and our transport to the ferry. We were able to have an early check in which was appreciated.

Loved this property. The location is excellent and Poe was friendly and helpful. The kayaks and snorkelling were easy to access and the beach was literally ten metres from the verandah. Private sunbathing, easy access and comfortable spot. I would recommend this to anyone. The highlight for the family was the dog, Choupinette who was the sweetest girl.

We loved the privacy and natural rustic beauty of the accomodation. The hosts were very helpful and they spoke English which was great. We loved their welcome to us and the sharing of their family and cultural history. The pool was lovely and the ice-cream shop I minute away was a bonus. Alex’s dive trip was fantastic and not to be missed.

A beautiful island with super friendly people. Very easy to get around- but you do need a hire car. Snorkeling almost anywhere was a bonus but the best patch was definitely Ta'ahiamanu beach, so much fish life plus turtles, moray and sharks - heaven. We can't wait to be back!

The hosts picked us up at the ferry terminal and took us back to it when we needed to leave. The proximity of it was great for shopping, swimming and for all of the tours to pick us up. There were a couple of great eating spots within waking distance. Good value for the large 2 queen size bedroom bungalow -- it allowed us to have money to appreciate a lot more things about this great island.

The scenery was spectacular. The people were very friendly. The beach was excellent. It was great to be able to lay under a palm tree for shade. A car is strongly recommend. It is easy to drive around the island, the roads are perfect. The island is very quiet, except for the roosters which add a fabulous authenticity to the island experience.

Beautiful rustic setting, close to gorgeous beaches, friendly people. Great if you like water sports - kayak, jetski, snorkeling, diving, swimming, just lounging in the clear warm water! You will need a rental car to get around no matter where you stay - no uber. You can drive around the whole island in about an hour. A great tour to take from Albert Tours is the snorkeling with sharks & rays. It includes a nice lunch.

I heartily do recommend Tema'e Beach House.

I heartily do recommend Tema'e Beach House. Nick, the owner, is a really nice and attentive guy - looks after his guests as well as the premacy itself & keeps it clean & proper (mind you: not always an easy task in tropical surroundings!). And really helpful are his pick-ups at the ferry port. Those arriving by plane don't have to worry anyway: airport is only a 300(!) metres walk away. What's a superb experience: sitting together with the other guests from all over the world & sometimes having in-depth discussions. On top of it, wonderful Tema'e beach is in walking distance as well (approximately 15 minutes) - be aware of the strong current of the sea, though! For the adventurous types: take an astounding bike ride around Mo'orea (60 km, approx 3-5 hrs ride, depending on personal fitness) - the bike is working now, we repaired it :-))). As for lagoon tours: contact Moorea Miti Tours, excellent! Of course, there have to be (especially in-house) rules (shoes, eating, waste and so on). However, a bit less strictness would even add to a more relaxed atmosphere.

I loved the location and the serenity of it, I loved to sit on the benches on the bay and read. Allo pizza food amazing. You need a car here in order to get to the shops and beaches, but I knew this when I booked and was happy. Few nice places in walking distance and supermarket about 15 min walk. This place is great value, and meant the money I saved I spent on car and excursions. I would stay again, as a very family feel, being a single traveller I felt very safe here and looked after

The idea of the Te Orange Hau "lodge" is lovely which is why I booked it. But it does not deliver. It was a sham of what was represented on the website. We stayed in the back one bedroom cottage with the bedroom up some narrow stairs with no light at night. The place was dirty with moldy shower curtain shower. In the morning I wakened to rat poo next to my toothbrush. The bathroom is literally "under the stairs". The kitchenette is hardly that. There was an unworkable electric hot plate, a tiny fridge and we absolutely could not "prepare meals" in that kitchen. Good restaurants are at least 20-25 minutes away from Affareaitu. There are 2 cottages in front. I do not know what they are like but the website combines the best pictures of all of them and presents them as the cottage they are offering. This is dishonest. Moorea is a difficult place to find another place to stay when you are under the gun. Luckily we were able to find something else and only had to stay there for 2 miserable nights. Don't ruin your time on this beautiful island.

Moorea is an absolutely stunning island with breathtaking landscapes and crystal-clear waters. The island is perfect for both adventure and relaxation. We loved snorkeling and kayaking, and the marine life is outstanding—we swam with whales, blacktip sharks, and stingrays, which was truly unforgettable. We visited the pineapple juice factory, which was fun and gave a taste of local flavors, and the Belvédère lookout offered incredible panoramic views of the island and its lagoons. The Tiki Village experience was also a highlight; the cultural performances, music, and traditional crafts made for a fun and immersive evening. We also enjoyed buying pearls at a local shop, which was a nice way to take a piece of Moorea home with us. That said, everything on Moorea was a bit expensive, and it was surprisingly hard to find hotel options considering how touristic the island is. Many of the places felt outdated, which slightly affected comfort and convenience. Overall, Moorea exceeded our expectations with its natural beauty, adventure, wildlife, and cultural experiences, but travelers should be prepared for higher prices and limited accommodation choices.
