Everything! It was really ideal, especially after strenuous treks.The owner couple is really endearing and listens to your wishes: they get up to prepare a full Americano breakfast with fresh Peruvian fruits at 5:45 a.m. to allow you to take the first transport to the terminal.They offered me a warmer room because it was exposed to the sun and quieter on the garden side, in addition to a hot water bottle to warm my feet.They also love to travel and are very curious about all countries.

The hotel is in a secluded area in the Colca Canyon, very peaceful and with stunning views of the mountains. The casitas are small villas, each with a private exterior hot tub, tastefully decorated and fully comfortable. The valley-view casitas offer more privacy than garden-view. The staff is very cordial and efficient, always taking care of guests (e.g., we needed oxygen and they provided it promptly). We stayed 4 nights and it was perfect to relax, disconnect and enjoy the property.

The room was very comfortable, spacious and cozy with a dining table and two chairs, private bathroom with shower. The room was quite cold, but there were warm blankets. The only serious disadvantage is the lack of mosquito nets and despite of the cold weather there are plenty of mosquitos. Breakfast is scrambled eggs with tea, jam, mango juice and coffee americano. There is free parking available and tea and coffee at reception as a compliment to hotel guests.

Very conveniently located right at the start of the trails. The chill areas are comfortable and the staff are helpful. The room was much warmer than other places in the area and there was plenty of hot water.

Wow a fabulous hotel in an exceptional location. We booked a suite which had 2 levels which could sleep 4 people. The roof top terrace overlooking the river was amazing and great for star gazing. The jacuzzi bath was huge with amazing views. The thermal baths were lovely and warm and a great place to relax and unwind after a day of travelling. It was so peaceful and tranquil we only wished we could have stayed longer

An absolutely exceptional experience! The ladies working there went out of their way and beyond for us and deserve a 12/10 rating. Amazingly beautiful scenery, great breakfast, and super comfortable beds. Everything was clean. We were served cocoa tea upon arrival and enjoyed a delicious meal in the afternoon. Because we had to leave early the next day (05:00), the staff made us a big and lovely breakfast at 04am. Nothing to say but a perfect stay!

Amazing location. Many walks along canyon ridge starting right from hotel. Run primarily by a very hard-working and kind and thoughtful family. Food was farm-to-table. Views are so great you should spent at least two full days there to get full appreciation. Beautiful eco lodge and amazing hospitality by the family. Thank you so much for a great experience, and for organizing a 5am cab to Chivay for us :)

Pachamama was very clean and comfortable. The staff, especially Leandro, were very helpful and friendly. The onsite restaurant was great, especially the wood-fire pizzas after hiking in the Colca Canyon for a few days. We stayed for a night on either end of our Colca Canyon trip and I'm glad we did!

Staff extremely helpful and very welcoming. Property is bespoke in style, reflecting the local area - all of this is really well done. Located in Cabanaconde, it is ideally located to see the western (and most spectacular) end of the Colca Canyon.

Clean spacious room, they have portable electric heaters, ask for one at the front desk and say it’s included in the booking. It’s really needed as buildings are cold in the evening. Shower was hot, bed was comfy.

Small quiet area - for bird photographers: the famous...

Small quiet area - for bird photographers: the famous Mirador is good from dawn until about 830am (JUNE - we don't know about other months)...by 830am, Condors are heading up the Canyon - so the Mirador is not good for Condors after that time. It is great for Giant Hummingbirds and a couple other species (eg Peregrine) -

In Covid times, it was hard to get to Cabanaconde.

In Covid times, it was hard to get to Cabanaconde. There is only one official bus (Andalucia) and it departs from Arequipa very early or too late. There are also collectivos people can take to get there (local buses). Once there, the village is great, people are so helpful and the hikes are amazing! Please not there is no where to take money out, you absolutely need cash for everything.
