The dome concept was something we were drawn to, and it did not disappoint! The room was very big and clean, and both owner and staff were very helpful and kind. The accommodation is located high up in the mountain, therefore the night sky was very nice to watch as we could see a lot of stars, something that is quite rare when you live in the city. If we were to visit Oman again, we would surely book another night!

Situated next to the Grand Canyons of Oman Jebel Shams provides accommodation including a terrace with a fire pit and panoramic views. Free Wi-Fi access is available.

Location was stunning on top of the plateau with incredible sunset views. Meals were exceptional with great variety over the two nights we were there. Pool was a nice feature, although by the time the end of the day rolled around (when we would have wanted to use it) the air temperature felt too cool to jump in.

Stunning scenery and our stay was made by the amazing Ram who is the Nepali man who runs the place single handed. His endless smile, great simple food and hospitality makes this place what it is. The house has the best location, less than one minute away from the start of the Balcony Walk. The large windows of the rooms offer the best view and You have the opportunity to witness a splendid sunrise. The host is very kind and attentive and took us to a short walk to witness also a beautiful sunset!

The house is situated in a small village. It has beautiful views of the mountains. The host was very kind and they offered very good breakfast and dinner. The house is large, with spacious kitchen - living room area, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We loved the terrace with the view. Very quite place, but few steps from the start of the Balcony Walk route (approx. 5 minutes walking). There are no shops or restaurants, be ready for that. There is no signal in the house, but the WIFI worked very well. It is possible to reach it with 2WD car, but after our experience, we recommend to have 4WD car, the last 20 km to the village are quite rough.

A good location for a stress-free stay in Sa‘ab Banī Khamīs, Jabal Shams Villa is a country house surrounded by views of the garden.

We had an amazing stay at this villa! The host was incredibly friendly and generous, offering us the entire villa, which was clean and well-equipped with all the basic amenities. The spacious backyard was perfect for stargazing, BBQs, and campfires. A 40-minute drive to the balcony walk offered stunning views. The host also took us on a thrilling 4x4 trip to Wadi Nakhr for an additional cost, which was unforgettable. He recommended some fantastic local restaurants, where we had the best meal of our trip. Highly recommend!
