We loved this old family house, which is now a nice small heritage hotel. Our en-suite room was big, nicely decorated, very clean, the bed was comfy. Staff was very friendly, and particularly Mr Rahman at the reception was very helpful. The breakfast was served down on the terrace of the Café, and was delicious, with a lovely view on the castle, which is right opposite. WiFi and AC were functioning well. Free car park is available in front of the hotel.

⭐ 10/10 – Exceeded expectations! Probably the best and only hostel I found in Salalah and it exceeded expectations. Excellent Omani hospitality, especially from Hashem, who took care of everything. A family-run accommodation in the best way possible; warm, welcoming, and effortless. Location is perfect: just a 5-minute walk from the central market and the Mwasalat bus station to Muscat. Nearby cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, ATMs, and local spots all around. There’s a small grocery shop in the same building, and they offer car rentals if you’re heading to explore the mountains or coast. Facilities are well-maintained; fully equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms, and common areas. They have storage space if you arrive early or check out late, and super flexible with check-in timing. In short, value for money, excellent location, and true Omani hospitality. This place is an exceptional base while in Salalah. Highly recommend for anyone exploring Dhofar as an independent traveler.

We really liked the hotel, but we liked the staff of this hotel even more, especially Gad, who took into account an important event for us with my husband and upgraded the room, and was also very polite and professional in all respects! We would also like to cancel Rasha, a very customer-oriented and pleasant girl with whom it was a pleasure to communicate! We were four family members on a weekend trip to Salalah for the first time to celebrate a birthday. Albaleed Resort was selected for its location, reputation, and services. Albaleed resort staff are exceptional. From ensuring our three deluxe rooms were adjacent as requested to the interactions with all staff throughout the hotel, I ascertain they were accommodating, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure comfort. The resort beach front location is a plus and the rooms were excellent. Breakfast buffet and service was exceptional.

The breakfast was very decent. They kept changing the menu every day so we didn't had to eat same stuff every day. We had an executive suite with 2 rooms so the room was decent size with nice and comfy beds. Staff was friendly and the hotel was decently cleaned. the beaches are spectacular, the location is really perfect...

the beaches are spectacular, the location is really perfect if you look for a quite and familiar place. Everyone is friendly and helpful. the surrundings are stunning and the trip is aboslutely worth it. There are several resorts in the area but they are very decent and not invasive.

Salalah and especially the surrounding mountains contain a unique environment with magical natural views. But, if you want to see the lush green landscapes and waterfalls, make sure to come in the correct monsoon season known as khareef, which is during the summer months. Once the rains stop, the waterfalls dry up and the lush greenery turns dry and yellow. I came in November, which is a perfect time for nature photography as there is no rain to damage the camera and nature is still very alive, but all waterfalls had already completely dried up and the lush greenery was gone. The region, like the entire country, is very safe, with friendly and helpful people.

A quiet, quaint city with a seemingly tight-knit community and fantastic sights. We arrived at the end of the Khareef season but did not miss out on any greenery, beautiful birds, roaming camels, and absolutely great water features such as springs, streams, and waterfalls!
