Everything. Beautiful quaint charm, lovely designed lodge, peaceful location, incredible service and hospitality. The onsite chef is devine and the nicest person. The spa massage was one of the best I’ve had. The owner shared about his culture, family, special meaning of the property and even tribal wine. All in all if I could give this property a 20 out of 10 I would!

Beautiful place, right on the Lake. We had a lakefront studio and the room was beautiful, immaculate, comfortable and had a great view from the balcony. The whole place was beautiful and the staff we met friendly and helpful. The food was the best dinner we have had since visiting NZ!

A 1 night stay to break up our journey from Wellington to Hamilton. Large 1 bedroom apartment which was very well organised and clean. Two large sofas made for a comfortable relaxing evening. The pool is small but the hot tub (no bubbles) was heated to 38 degrees. Both were enjoyable. The kitchen (no oven) had everything you needed to prepare a meal. The staff were friendly and provided a bottle of milk for a much needed cup of tea

We unexpectedly were arriving late from Waikato hospital, staff were very understanding wich was much appreciated 😊 Polite and friendly staff, our stay was absolutely amazing. My husband and I apreciated the immaculate and comfortable unit, we also hope to enjoy the spa pool again soon😊 10 out of 10! we highly recommend, and thankyou for making our anniversary special 💕

We had a chalet which had a hot tub in the back with loads of privacy and a mini fridge where we could keep our beverages. Continental breakfast was very good. Dinner at the restaurant was great too. Free parking right outside the chalet. A quick 20min drive from Hobbiton

Close to the city centre. Clean and tidy. Had everything we needed. Our room was lovely and warm. Beds were comfy. Kids loved the hot outdoor pool although the private spa pools weren’t that warm compared to the swimming pool otherwise we will definitely be back to stay again in the near future.

Fantastic place to visit and stay.

Fantastic place to visit and stay. Victoria's Kitchen make the most amazing plum and custard or rhubarb and custard shortcake and have very friendly and helpful staff. Dixie Browns and Cafe Baku are also among our favourite eating places along with Thai Delight and the roast shop.

Please go the Hamilton Gardens - even if you don't have...

Please go the Hamilton Gardens - even if you don't have green fingers - its not that kind of garden. Its art! It's different cultures and ways of living. We had an excellent time, and the prices were reasonable. Seemed to be lots of activity in Hamilton itself and the eateries on Grey St were great!

We did a boat trip to cathedral beach that was fantastic had time to swim and the boat found a pod of dolphins which was a bonus 😀 We had some very good meals in the pubs and restaurants The drive to whitianga isn't for the faint hearted but the views are fantastic

I've always liked Turangi.

I've always liked Turangi. It has a lot to offer both in the town itself as well as the greater region. The shopping center is well laid out and provides everything you need including ample parking. There are takeaway and dining options to please most people. The New Word supermarket is well stocked and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Accommodation options cover every budget. Nearby Tokannu has great hot pools and a picturesque wharf. Omori is a lovely quiet lakeside village only a 15 minute drive from Turangi. Check out the rabbits on the lakeside grass reserves from late afternoon. The lost lagoon at nearby Kuratau Junction is well worth a visit with crystal clear water. Nature and scenery abound in and around Turangi. Well worth stopping rather than just passing through.

Walking through the Kauri at Long Bay. Driving Creek railway, Waterworks - been to both before but they didn't disappoint - even with teens! Also great experience, food, service and prices at the pub and Taco food van.

Raglan is a lovely beach town.

Raglan is a lovely beach town. It’s fun to walk around and look at the shops. Lots of great food options in town. There are great day trips from there, too! Kawhia Hot Water Beach was awesome! Bridal Veil Falls cannot be missed. Te Toto Lookout is a wild drive but the view is incredible.

The main point of our trip was to visit Hobbiton Movie Set. This is an amazing experience, our second trip. Have done both the lunch & dinner experience. Food, staff & experience rate a 10. Had a great meal at Sofra, food & staff were great. Breakfast at The Rich Coffee Cafe was nice and the staff were ok. Visited the I-Centre too and found the staff to be helpful.

Our tour of the Ruakura cave was great.

Our tour of the Ruakura cave was great. Our tour guide held the kids' attention the entire way and answered all of their questions. The caves are amazing to see and this walking tour is just the right length, even for young kids. Don't forget to book ahead and take a warm top as it is quite chilly down there.

We loved it.

We loved it. The grandkids loved the playground by the mall area. We had a great time at the Goldmine experience and fully recommend this as they were very informative and something different to see. Everything was close by with ample parking which made it easier to get around. Wea made our meals although meal delivery is possible. The ocean is also close. Would love to come back to Thames at some point
