We called on the way to say that we wouldn't be able to pick up the keys and the matter was arranged perfectly and we were told that we are definitely not the only customers for whom Google Maps has estimated the travel time completely incorrectly. So this is a big plus. Another excellent thing was the big swimming pool, jacuzzi and above all SAUNA! We are from Finland and it was great to get to the sauna after almost a four week break. At home, we take a sauna almost every day and this was truly a luxury.

It's the second time we spend here when we visit Wanaka, we love the full facility apartment and nice environment here. The first time we stayed in 1 bed room apartment with only simple kitchen (no cooktop) and bathtub, but this time we rent 3 bedroom apartment (actually it's the other half of the same building with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with bo bathtubs) and we enjoy our nice stay here. Check-in and out is very convenient.

We had lovely 2 bedroom unit with my husband. Very nice big kitchen, living room, one toilet,shower - very bright and clean. On the ground floor, we did not have a view, but you go out and you have it all around you. Nice as not in the heart of the center, still walking distance. Definitely will come back next year with our friends.

Wanaka is gorgeous, peaceful, so quiet...and yet so many...
Wanaka is gorgeous, peaceful, so quiet...and yet so many things to do. So many hikes. Water sports. Amazing restaurants, with plenty of choices for vegetarians (and even vegans). Easy to get around. Easy to park. Community events. So far, our favorite place in New Zealand.

We spent two weeks in NZ driving from Queenstown across to the east coast, made our way up to Christchurch then slowly across to Arthur's pass the down the west coast back to Queenstown to fly out, I wish we had another week just to spend at Lake Hawea

Great location easy to get to Wanaka but not in the middle of the all the tourists and busyness you get for a long weekend in a holiday spot. Right on the banks of the Clutha River, easy areas to walk and enjoy. Picture perfect location.

It’s an LONG winding mountain road from Queenstown…you wouldn’t want to be commuting back and forth from there (like I thought we were going to do!)
Ate dinner at a fabulous Indian and Nepalese restaurant just back from the main road (top ranking restaurant on Trip Advisor).
The tree in the lake was a bit of a funny “tourist attraction!”

Lake Hawea is much less crowded and busy than Wanaka.
Lake Hawea is much less crowded and busy than Wanaka. The water is clear and beautiful, the view up the lake is magnificent and there is a great pub and store. There are good bike riding and walking tracks. Who could want for more?

Wanaka is such a beautiful town ,personally it's my favourite town in the south Island and second favourite town in New Zealand! The lake and view of the mountains from the lake are just beautiful. Lots to do around Wanaka too.
I would highly recommend Wanaka to anyone wanting to visit.

Beautiful area to walk or bike in.
Beautiful area to walk or bike in. There are wildlife on the lake. You can sit/sun bathe on the beach albeit a stony beach. Or you can just stroll along the shore area. When the sun is shining it is glorious whatever you chose to do.
