A 1 night stay to break up our journey from Wellington to Hamilton. Large 1 bedroom apartment which was very well organised and clean. Two large sofas made for a comfortable relaxing evening. The pool is small but the hot tub (no bubbles) was heated to 38 degrees. Both were enjoyable. The kitchen (no oven) had everything you needed to prepare a meal. The staff were friendly and provided a bottle of milk for a much needed cup of tea

Polite and friendly staff, our stay was absolutely amazing.
My husband and I apreciated the immaculate and comfortable unit, we also hope to enjoy the spa pool again soon😊 10 out of 10! we highly recommend, and thankyou for making our anniversary special 💕

Really great value for 3 people, spacious room with a double and a single bed. Excellent view of lake for a ground-floor unit! My elderly mother was able to get into mineral pool with help so that was neat as often it's too hard to get into spa pools. Lovely updated kitchen with everything we needed.

Clean and tidy.
Had everything we needed.
Our room was lovely and warm.
Beds were comfy.
Kids loved the hot outdoor pool although the private spa pools weren’t that warm compared to the swimming pool otherwise we will definitely be back to stay again in the near future.

Fantastic place to visit and stay. Victoria's Kitchen make the most amazing plum and custard or rhubarb and custard shortcake and have very friendly and helpful staff. Dixie Browns and Cafe Baku are also among our favourite eating places along with Thai Delight and the roast shop.

I've always liked Turangi.
I've always liked Turangi. It has a lot to offer both in the town itself as well as the greater region. The shopping center is well laid out and provides everything you need including ample parking. There are takeaway and dining options to please most people. The New Word supermarket is well stocked and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Accommodation options cover every budget. Nearby Tokannu has great hot pools and a picturesque wharf. Omori is a lovely quiet lakeside village only a 15 minute drive from Turangi. Check out the rabbits on the lakeside grass reserves from late afternoon. The lost lagoon at nearby Kuratau Junction is well worth a visit with crystal clear water. Nature and scenery abound in and around Turangi. Well worth stopping rather than just passing through.

Kurutau is a beautiful very peaceful with amazing local and friendly people. We went on the river run fantastic and then a swim in the Lake. The weather is fresh, crisp nice and chill in the evening. My daughter's bach was right on top of Omori breathtaking view of the Lake and we could walk down for a swim.
I would highly recommend Kurutau to families, friends and to anyone doing a road trip around New Zealand.

The location is lovely, the clean room very tastefully done with an excellent bathroom. Self serve breakfast is provided in the room so no need to pack up and then drive to get food. The check out time of 11am allows for a relaxing morning especially after a long drive like we had.
Kinloch is nearby on the lakeside with a general store. Worth a walk and a swim. The quiet side of Lake Taupo.

Would stay at this place again but they need to give better instructions to get in the gate as the code doesn’t work. Don’t tell you that! Also doesn’t tell you no visitors allowed on the site but says that on the info sheet inside. Like you go to see family but they can’t stop in for a cuppa - bit rough!

Close to Tongariro National Park and a short drive to Taupo. Beautiful scenery on the drive from Hamilton down the west side of Lake Taupo. Turangi itself was larger than we thought with all the amenities we needed. Great grocery store (New World) and good gas prices.

The beach is nice but it is always super crowded like the Riveria or something. Very limited facilities in Kinloch with just one general store and a cafe both of which are always busy because of the beach crowds. If staying in Kinloch you need to bring food with you.

We had a specific purpose other than tourism for our stay. Being of an older generation we found Taupo rather busy and the traffic layout excessive, but then others no doubt find it quite acceptable.
