Location was nice. We were upgraded to one of the deluxe outside units where we could park right outside. Rooms did have a funny smell but could have been the sulfur in the air. Room and bathroom were clean. Beds were comfy. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

The attitude and behaviour of the staff specially Vivian was commendable. She was very helpful and cooperative. Advised us on tidbits and gave us wonderful tips so that our one night two days stay in Rotorua was memorable. The hotel was superb and the ambience, location was fabulous with lots of eating places nearby including the outstation bus terminal. The whole team of the staff of this hotel deserves special mention.

I had an amazing stay at Distinction Hotel, Rotorua! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we felt welcome. The facilities were top-notch, and the kids especially loved spending time in the pool. The included breakfast was outstanding—so much variety and everything was delicious! Our room was quiet, comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. I highly recommend Distinction Hotel, Rotorua, and would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at Alpin Motel on a recent business trip and was thoroughly impressed. The bedding was modern and high-quality, with both memory foam and feather pillows — a thoughtful touch that made a real difference. I loved the room’s warm, modern color palette; it created a very inviting atmosphere. The wool blanket was especially lovely — I’d love to know where they source them. The inner courtyard garden is spacious and well-kept, and the complimentary coffee at reception was a nice perk. I particularly enjoyed starting my mornings with a coffee in the garden, listening to the birds. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m in Rotorua for a conference.

We did go into this stay a little confused with booking.coms disruption not having enough context behind the communal showers and toilets, however It was fine for us, probably because it was off season too and there weren’t many people staying there. Our kids absolutely loved the gocarts and pools.

Go to eat street in Rotorua, for a great choice of restaurants and reasonable prices. Several geothermal attractions within 30 minutes of Rotorua. Great luge attraction, however does get crowded, and is expensive.

Hamurana is a beautiful, quiet spot on the outskirts of Rotorua. Close enough to all the attractions with the added bonus of peace and quiet. Our accommodation on the Lake edge was so tranquil and peaceful we 'hunkered ' down for the weekend choosing only to venture out for walks.

Love Rotorua, so much to do. Everyone is so friendly

Love Rotorua, so much to do. Everyone is so friendly Beautiful scenery , golf with rabbits was definitely an cool experience. Cobb n co is also a go too for us with there robots waitress . Mini Golf, gondula luge rides, paradise valley, lakefront, lady jane ice cream shop , the blue and green lakes, polyneisian pools so so much to see and do.

Great location - away from the bustle of Rotorua - but just...

Great location - away from the bustle of Rotorua - but just a quick drive to get into town. Super close to the amazing Okere Falls cafe and lovely bush walk. Easy access to zip lining, sledging and white water rafting. Relaxing space, and a little less sulphur smell than other areas around the lake.

It is a nice small place, friendly people.

It is a nice small place, friendly people. Only problem was the limited car parking spaces at the popular eating and socialising area that is Eat Streat. Otherwise, it is nice and refreshing for people like us coming from the big smoke that is Auckland. Overall, enjoyed our stay.
