We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful family home. It was honestly outstanding in every way. Big modern kitchen, very comfy king bed and gorgeous decor with lots of lovely books (and cookbooks!) to read and enjoy. It had a large grassy area where we did some yoga, and we did not need the car at all once we landed there. We walked into the pub and along the lakeside path which was stunning. This property and lake Hawea were highlights of our time in NZ. We will be back! Oh, and Shannon our host was amazing - she couldn't do enough to help us. Thank you, Shannon.

Everything; the cottage was beautifully setup. We liked being slightly out of town, the views were lovely, the host was welcoming and accommodating, and we loved the hot tub, so nice when it’s cold outside. A small thing but we really liked having Netflix for my husband to catchup on sports since we’ve been on the road for a while now.

Great stay! Good location with spacious house for children. Facilities were generally good and well equipped. Beds were clean and comfy. Toilets were great too. Garage was working and that ease a lot in moving the luggages.

What's not to like? The actual apartment and location excellent. The many hidden extras were over and above. Not telling you have to go..... Quality furnishings. Just a lovely apartment and a few steps away a pub, laundromat, grocery store, bottleshop, eatery etc.

We spent two weeks in NZ driving from Queenstown across to the east coast, made our way up to Christchurch then slowly across to Arthur's pass the down the west coast back to Queenstown to fly out, I wish we had another week just to spend at Lake Hawea

Lake Hawea is much less crowded and busy than Wanaka. The water is clear and beautiful, the view up the lake is magnificent and there is a great pub and store. There are good bike riding and walking tracks. Who could want for more?

Beautiful area to walk or bike in.
Beautiful area to walk or bike in. There are wildlife on the lake. You can sit/sun bathe on the beach albeit a stony beach. Or you can just stroll along the shore area. When the sun is shining it is glorious whatever you chose to do.
