United StatesElla and Katie, the owners, are so lovely. The property is super cute and has a lovely atmosphere. There’s a nice view of nature, and a picnic table. The rooms are nice and spacious. The beds are very comfy! Ella and Katie were both very willing to help with suggestions of what to do and where to eat. It’s also a great location so you can walk everywhere in town. Also, they wash your clothes for only $8! How wonderful!

United KingdomExceptional host and a very warm welcome. We had a cabin in the garden so self-contained. It was amazing, being clean and very comfortable. It was cold during our stay and the underfloor heating was great.
Excellent shower and facilities.
Just a very short walk to the centre and many eateries. In the other direction is the sculpture walk in the forest as well as other trails.
Very quiet and we had use of the garden for reading which was lovely. So glad we booked and would recommend.

this apartmennt is an excellent choice, it is truly spacious, very comfortable, amazing view, the equipment of the kitchen is very sufficient, everything you need (I maybe only missed a scale), all was clean. We enjoyed the fireplace (during christmas), spa bath, having brekky on the balcony, all quiet. The apartment is close to the center and you can start some small neighbourhood hikes there. Generally we were very happy with our apartment selection and we very much enjoyed our stay.

I loved my chalet; it was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful sunset view from the living room. It is not precisely in the centre, but you can reach the pools on foot in about 10/15 minutes. On the other side, just behind the motel, is the starting point for many lovely walks and tracks.

Very nice and cozy place.
The hosts are very warm and welcoming, have maintained the property nicely and provide free laundry for Guests plus towels for hanmer springs thermal pool aswell.

Since we have been going to Hanmer for the last 30+ years.
Since we have been going to Hanmer for the last 30+ years. It's so amazing how many people visit this beautiful location.
Cycling fishing boating walking golfing the activities are endless.
So much for young families to do. Running up & down Conical Hill was one of our favourite morning activities & cost nothing.
So now being in the older generation find even just checking every thing out esp refurbished Queen Mary Hospital. What a pleasure to see it now being rebuilt back to as was or almost to bring back it's history.
Hanmer Springs is really special.

Really comfortable well appointed rooms.
Really comfortable well appointed rooms. Great spot for a romantic weekend away. The hosts were great and knowledgeable about the area. The only problem we had was being able to hear the bar fridge at night as our room was closest to this area. Definitely ask for a room further away which we have had no problems with in the past. Great sitting in the spa pool at night watching the stars.

We were on motorbike tour of South Island.
We were on motorbike tour of South Island. We spent only one night there and enjoyed our soak in the hot pools and our evening out. Sadly We didnt have time to enjoy the many outdoor activities on offer.

The hot pools were very enjoyable and surprisingly peaceful given the number of people there. They were very clean although it would be good if there was somewhere to put clothes in the shower that would keep them dry.
The loop walk to the lookout was also very enjoyable. They were park run was awesome.
