The property is amazing. The building is historic and the library is very cool. The staff were really the best though- they went above and beyond. They have a great restaurant and bar as well as a game room. The rooms are not large but had everything needed and it’s a short walk to the center of town. I couldn’t recommend enough!

We stayed here for 6 night and could not have made a better choice. Everything is perfect, the staff has been extremely helpful with all we needed. I truly believe that if you want to stay in Longyearbyen there is no better option than this. The hotel also has a souvenir shop, which also provides winter gloves (same products for cheaper than any shop in town) and a lot of other goodies (including postcards) to remember this unique destination. In the hotel you can also find a pub that is open until 2 AM and a restaurant. However, if you want to try other restaurants, the hotel is walking distance (like 200m) from the mainstreet, as well as from most of the attractions. Totally will be here again!

Clean and friendly hostel with good kitchen, showers, laundry machine. Comfy beds, good pillows, amazing staff. We recommend a longer stay in Barentsburg to taste some of its vibe of humble, genuine, peaceful, friendly creativity in an amazing setting. We stayed one week, could easily have stayed longer.
