The hotel was located right in the middle of Bergen, perfect and central to everything. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, opulent surroundings and nothing like this in New Zealand. It was historical and we loved it. The staff at reception were so helpful and friendly, they even helped take bags up to our room. Which as a very nice room - one of the few with a view over the harbour. We love the half day cruise up the fjord - well worth it.

Cheaper than the hotels across Bryggen yet with all the transportation access. Only about 7 mins walk to the bus stop for the Bergen Flybussen bus, and the hotel provides the schedule clearly for the guests. Remember to buy the tickets only (at only 169 NOK) as compared to 220 NOK on the bus. It also took us 15 mins to walk from the train station and would be nearer for those taking the Light Rail. More importantly, the hotel is also within walking distance to Bryggen, historic fort, Christmas market and shopping streets in Bergen.

At our request hotel management gave us a ground floor room and a slight extension of check out time. Room was cozy and we liked the old style lamps in our room. All the Hotel staff were helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was plentiful with good variety.

Spacious 3 bed lodge. Lovely view. Equipped kitchen. Excellent Round Tour walk with stunning views. On main bus route to local train station, catch train there to Bergen. Get the Skyss app. Works out a lot cheaper and can use on all local transport.

Warm and fantastic services. Feel comfortable while walking into the lobby. Near Bergen bus station and train station, need a short walk to Fish Market and Bryggen but still a really great location for traveller.

A beautiful city with a vibrant downtown area.

A beautiful city with a vibrant downtown area. The views atop the Floyen funicular are spectacular. The historic wooden buildings of Bryggen are worth a visit. We attended a concert at the Grieg Hall which was impressive. An easy city to walk around. Our 2 days here were very enjoyable.

Bergen is a beautiful small city on a picturesque harbour.

Bergen is a beautiful small city on a picturesque harbour. Many lovely buildings, exceptional in the Old Town area. The funicular is well worth going on, amazing views of Bergen and many nice walks in the area. Most attractions are within walking distance of the main harbour.
