This is the most beautiful place where we have ever slept 😍 the view to the molins directly from the bed is incredible!! Furthermore, Sharon is really nice, the breakfast she prepared for us every morning was great.
The place is located in Zaanse Schans so you can have a visit there or with the train you can arrive to Amsterdam (15 minutes and a few Euro ticket) or to Rotterdam. All fantastic!!

Home from home - private bathroom, big room , and the self-serve breakfast (cook your own eggs, oven for warming up bread) was plentiful, varied, and it was nice to meet other guests in the shared kitchen and eating area. Close to Zaanse Schanz (take your car!) with zero other tourists - fantastic sunset with windmills .

It was so beautiful, a luxery feel and look and so big and just my best stay ever and not even expensive compared to other hotels in that time. It had everything you could need (coffeemachine and stationary supplies even bodylotion)

Zaandam is a little away from the center of Amsterdam but...
Zaandam is a little away from the center of Amsterdam but there is a train station within walking distance, though no subway system out there. There is a pedestrian shopping area with eateries and grocery stores, etc. It is a quieter area to stay than the main city center. Train fares are a bit more expensive than other EU countries but are regular and on time. Most of the eateries in this area were Turkish and similar, and delicious.

Excellent location.
Excellent location. Stayed here instead of Amsterdam city because it was much cheaper and I am so glad I did! It was only 15 minutes on the train (train ticket cost around €4 and the trains were very frequent all day).
First thing I noticed when walking from the train was the smell of chocolate/cocoa in the air. The town felt safe and was quiet but then it got busy with tourists during the day. You just cross over the bridge where you can see around 5 or 6 windmills. Theres traditional Dutch houses, windmills, mini museums, Dutch cheese shop with lots of free samples, clogs museum/shop, you can hear the birds singing as you walk around it’s so lovely, I also got hot chocolate with the local cocoa and you could buy Zaanse Chocolate too which would be a great gift.
I stayed for 2 nights but only had 1 day to explore Zaandijk because I had other things planned in Amsterdam (tour to De Tulipje tulip farm and Keukenhof which I would also highly recommend for April). I spent around 3 hours walking around Zaanse Schans which would also make it a great free day trip if you are visiting Amsterdam

I think this is a very nice hotel with good facilities.
I think this is a very nice hotel with good facilities. The staff are extremely courteous. I stayed there with my family for two nights and they also enjoyed their stay.
My only disappointment was that it was not closer to Amsterdam, but perhaps this was something I should have checked out before hand.
We ate in the hotel both nights and really enjoyed the food.
Unfortunately we did not visit Oostzaan so I am unable to make any comments.

We had a wonderful stay in Koog aan de Zaan!
We had a wonderful stay in Koog aan de Zaan! The street where the house is located is clean, charming, and very peaceful — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The apartment was spotless, the beds and sheets were very comfortable, and the shower worked perfectly with great water pressure. The internet connection was fast and stable, which made everything easier.
We really appreciated the small touches like the free water tank downstairs, coffee capsules for the machine, and a few snacks. The sound isolation was excellent, so we could rest well every night. The location is ideal — just a short walk from the famous windmills and about 15–20 minutes by train from Amsterdam.
The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. They made our stay feel very comfortable and personal. Highly recommended!

Scenery wise, you are close to the Zaanse Schans so who ever wants to visit the windmills you are in an excellent spot. Wormer in itselfs has some charismatic but it gets outclassed by the enormous amount of industry close to the city.

Maybe one point for improvement - there was not facility for the waste separation (plastic, glass, paper) so we need to put all the waste together.

Zaandam is ok, it feels safe and looks nice.
Zaandam is ok, it feels safe and looks nice. Our stay really started on a Sunday and nothing was open, bear this in mind if you stay at EasyHotel as there is nothing there either. Rail service is excellent and we had a super day at Zaanse schans.

Cute Little windmill village.
Cute Little windmill village. Wonderful insight into Dutch life back in the old days. Quaint little shops to purchase memories, A wonderful cheese factory, Many antique shops, a wooden shoemaker, highlight the area. It is a favorite stop for sight seer's. Weekends are busy as tour buses are the norm.

It is very easy to move around as the train station is close. A must-visit are the windmills and farms where you can see the animals, enjoy a meal, and walk around. Most farms give you food samplings to try out before buying, and it's all organic and tasty.
