lovely castle type property. we have a big room on the top floor. was a bit dated with the pink room Colour but nice place to stay. love you can unlock the room with your phone but if you do not have access to the internet on your phone or not  tech savvy may be a problem.

Everything was just ABSOLUTELY LOVELY: the hotel itself, the QUIET and PEACEFUL area which it is located in (not too far from the busy center of the tiny town), close to beach access, a clean and organized, nice room (we didn't use room service 'coz vacay, but it was all in reach if we wanted/nice cleaning ladies), thoughtful placed extras, an awesome bed, people being very quiet (which is good, I have a loud and busy worklife), the breakfast (selection of bread, buns, tiny muffins,... other, jam, honey, eggs, bacon, cream cheese, freshly cut vegetables, fruit salad, cereal, yoghurt (natural/flavoured) fresh juices of all kinds, coffee machine,...) has everything you want from a Holland visit (Stroopwafels, Hagelslag, Kaas,...) and more! Enough parking space and a very friendly and helpful staff/owners! We will come back for sure!!!

I liked the part of the city I managed to see.

I liked the part of the city I managed to see. The reason I came, was because of the Tall Ship Race, so there were a lot of visitors and much of my time was spent related to the Tall Ship Race. I would like to come back to visit when it's a bit more quiet to see the town and surrounding areas.

Callantsoog is a nice small town visit for holidays . I loved the beach and we found a lovely Mexican café Chulitas for lunch . Good price , friendly staff and lovely decoration. The DA drugstore sells everything you need on a holiday , practical , hats gloves & slippers , shampoo , basic. medication , gifts toys for kids etc . The variety in Cafés is nice. Pancakes at grand café Royal were delicious , large size and very convenient price €8:00- euro

Cosy room, everything very clean, comfortable bed (we like it soft), nicely decorated, all very practicably arranged. We enjoyed our short stay and could have spent far more time there. For breakfast we could chose a basket for the room or have it at the breakfast room: it was nicely prepared, the staff welcoming. We will come back.

We use this place as a base for trips to wider area. We enjoyed autumn walking on the beach with our dog in Egmond aan Zee, Bergen aan Zee (very beautiful wide and wild beaches). Amsterdam and Haarlem cities are easy reached - within 40 min by car. Or beautiful Vereniging De Zaansche Molen - a touch of Dutch history with old windmills

I have not visited Warmenhuizen.

I have not visited Warmenhuizen. We went to Amsterdam, and drove around in Noord-Holland, stopping at Hoorn, Vollendam and Marken. Noord-Holland is about the beaches, and its charming towns and villages.

The city is not as beautiful as the rest of the Netherlands,...

The city is not as beautiful as the rest of the Netherlands, but it is a port city, probably because of that. It is worth staying here because you can easily get to Texel by ferry from here. Our accommodation was not in the city center, but close to the forest and the sea, in a perfect location for nature lovers. It’s worth checking out the Navy Museum (Marine Museum), not all of which were equally interesting, but the submarine, the ships, the mock-ups and some of the paintings are very special.

Callantsoog is a nice little spot.

Callantsoog is a nice little spot. For me it was all about reminiscing seeing we spent numerous family vacations nearly 50 years ago. Some cute little shops and eateries but best were the beach pavilions if you want to dine with an ocean view. Prices are reasonable, considering this is a tourist location.

Just a business trip to the Marine Base for a couple of days. Luckily we saw the Lighting Festival here in Den Helder which was AMAZING. Cosy town but nothing special. Visit the restaurants near the West Street / Navy museum!

This hotel is not good value for money.

This hotel is not good value for money. Our room and balcony were not clean. The ventilation didn't work. The lift didn't work. There were no basic tea/coffee facilities in the room so a morning brew meant a walk down two floors to the restaurant. The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to the beach - approximately 15 minutes walk.
