Modern, clean, quiet and big rooms, in an area where restaurants and convenient stores are nearby. Size of the bathroom and rain shower are plus points in my opinion. Chilling pool area to relax and have a drink. Right across the road is a steakhouse which serve good food at reasonable price. A huge supermarket 5-7 minutes away, have to cross two big roads.

A very nice stay at a family run lodging. It was an enjoyable experience. Their home was in a pleasant residential neighborhood with several local dining places within walking distance. It is also only a 20 to 30 minute walk to the UCA bus station, from where you can take buses to Leon or Granada.

In Villalobos, as many comment mentioned it already, I felt at home. One doesn’t come there for a fancy bed, but for sitting at the table and having interesting conversations. All the personal in this venue is kind and welcoming. If you want to pay an outrageous amount of Money for a bed and stay stuck between tourist it’s up to you, but if you want to get an immersive moment discovering the kindness of Nicaraguan people, go to Villalobos. Thank you for everything !

I thought this property was a steal for the price. We booked a dorm but were the only people in it for our stay. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was massive. I really also appreciated that there was aircon in the room.

This is one of the worst places I have ever traveled to.

This is one of the worst places I have ever traveled to. It is very hot. It is very dirty. There is trash everywhere. The Central American culture is horrible. Everyone pushes you out of the way and is disrespectful and inconsiderate. People are so selfish. It is always loud. People play their music really loud and do not wear ear buds or headsets. There is not much to do in Managua. There is just the area near Plaza Nicaragua/Placio Nacional. I would not go there again except to see Otempe and other volcanoes.

Best beachfront in the area, better than nearby resort by a long shot. Friendly staff, ice cold beers right next door. Basic accommodations, nothing fancy but more than adequate for our needs. Everyone loved it.

Managua isn't a super historic or beautiful city, but if you are looking to see what modern urban Nicaragua looks like, maybe spend a day here? The waterfront at Salvador Allende is pretty, and the city centre has a couple of monuments and museums.
