SingaporeBeautiful lodge nestled just outside Etosha Park. Place was tranquil with wild animals walking past our glass doors like Kudus.. Badgers, Meerkat, Squirrels.. A quiet tranquil place with water hole which you can sit back and relax and watch wild animals taking their drink.
Like to mention that Onguma staffs like Leonard and Thomas go beyond their duty and was very helpful to come forward and help me change a punctured tyre which I greatly appreciated and thankful. Service staffs like Moses and Kolumbo always ready to help our dining needs. Manager Albertina and Egga always cheerful to ensure we had a good stay. The chef whipped out a nasty awesome beef fillet which was out of this world. The meals are fantastic.

Great location, very tranquil. The lodge is easy to find and there was a very warm welcome from all the staff. Comfortable tented room, no Air-con but fan in the room worked well. Nice pool with comfortable sun loungers. Good freshly prepared food and a nice bar for a cool beer.
Excellent value for a lodge so close to Andersson Gate and Etosha. Would highly recommend.

close to wild nature. nice room and the restaurant area with a waterhole close. very peacful and relaxing. all the staff is very helpful and made us feel welcome and really did the best for us to enjoy and feel comfortable. We appreciated Martin as a guide and his deep knowledge about flora and fauna in the area. we like the idea that the lodge is run by the community.

The staff were so welcoming, friendly and professional. They catered for my lactose free diet without any issue. The pool area was clean and welcoming. The dinner and breakfast were both excellent.
We really appreciated the turn down service with hot water bottle :-).
I also have to say the hairdryer was salon quality! Definitely the best on the entire trip.

Everything is perfect except it is very expensive. Really a 5-star accommodation in any perspective.
Regarding animal sighting, we saw an elephant in distant when we were having our lunch. There is also a waterhole that you can view from restaurants or walk very close. Higher chance seeing rarer animals like lions and Kudu.

Very nice rooms with everything you need. The setting is awesome, and upon driving to the central building you can spot zebras. Food is great, and so is the winelist. There are three different pools, one for each section of the lodge.

A very convenient place to stay if you wanted to visit Etosha and wanted to stay outside the park. Good food and pleasant surroundings. We stayed in the tents but maybe would stay in the chalets next time

It has been our 7th time in Namibia and our 5th in the Namutoni area. As always it is amazing! Wildlife is stunning and this year the scenario with the pan filled by rainfalls was absolutely one of the best scenario you can imagine. This year we missed elephants (just a few) which usually crowded Klein Namutoni, but area around Namutoni was plenty of wildlife such as hundreds of giraffes, impalas, gnus, zebras, springboks. We have seen also cheetah (quite frequent in this area of the park), black rhino and, for the first time in Etosha, leopard with cub. Great place!

If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great...
If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great spot to base yourself out of. It's about an hour from the northern most section of the park, which we found to be the best spot from which to see predators in particular. The town isn't particularly well lit or well represented on Google Maps, though, so I would advise getting there well before sunset to make sure that you find your accommodation. Residents are incredibly helpful and will assist with directions is needed.

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!

As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but...
As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but we saw many herds of antelopes, wildebest and zebras. A single giraffe standing in an area near Halila was beautiful. Watering holes were well marked and lovely settings to spend time viewing though some roads were deeply rutted. Sorry to have detour cut off several watering holes near Anderson Gate but understand its necessary for park maintenance.

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive!
There were no animals at the waterhole in Okaukuejo...
