The best part was the food! Amazing! 5*! Our waiter Kumolo (not sure of the spelling - sorry) was very attentive and his service was impeccable. Definitely will be back.

A five minute walk to the restaurant if you don’t fancy cooking your own dinner. Take a torch or a head torch so you can find your way back to the campsite.

The camp is located right in the bush a few kilometers outside of Etosha gate. The tented rooms are cleverly situated to create some privacy and the illusion of being on your own. Our tent was almost the farthest from the reception, so that was an added bonus. The camp is very nicely laid out, with a winding path through the bush to reach the rooms. The tent was spacious, clean and comfortable, at night the staff put a hot water bottle in the bed (it was needed, it gets cold at night in June). The food in the restaurant was very good, the staff was lovely. And there were some yellow hornbills giving a free show in front of our tent while I was sitting there with my morning coffee, just a couple of meters away from them. A really lovely place and a nice way to experience bush camping with a bit of comfort thrown in!

I like Eldorado Lodge because first of all it is a family run business and they welcomed me and made me feel like a part of the family. It's as if I was at home with my Mom - it felt so comforting and relaxing when they come and check up on you how come you haven't turned up for breakfast or for dinner. The place is so clean and a very good value for money. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is visiting Etosha National Park.

Everything is perfect except it is very expensive. Really a 5-star accommodation in any perspective.
Regarding animal sighting, we saw an elephant in distant when we were having our lunch. There is also a waterhole that you can view from restaurants or walk very close. Higher chance seeing rarer animals like lions and Kudu.

The place is very nice with a beautiful view at night and the dîner and breakfast were good. The tent for 2 people is small but comfortable. The family room is wider with a fridge which was nice.

A very convenient place to stay if you wanted to visit Etosha and wanted to stay outside the park. Good food and pleasant surroundings. We stayed in the tents but maybe would stay in the chalets next time

It has been our 7th time in Namibia and our 5th in the Namutoni area. As always it is amazing! Wildlife is stunning and this year the scenario with the pan filled by rainfalls was absolutely one of the best scenario you can imagine. This year we missed elephants (just a few) which usually crowded Klein Namutoni, but area around Namutoni was plenty of wildlife such as hundreds of giraffes, impalas, gnus, zebras, springboks. We have seen also cheetah (quite frequent in this area of the park), black rhino and, for the first time in Etosha, leopard with cub. Great place!

If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great...
If you're planning on going to Etosha, Omuthiya is a great spot to base yourself out of. It's about an hour from the northern most section of the park, which we found to be the best spot from which to see predators in particular. The town isn't particularly well lit or well represented on Google Maps, though, so I would advise getting there well before sunset to make sure that you find your accommodation. Residents are incredibly helpful and will assist with directions is needed.

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!

As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but...
As expected, the variety of predators was not observable but we saw many herds of antelopes, wildebest and zebras. A single giraffe standing in an area near Halila was beautiful. Watering holes were well marked and lovely settings to spend time viewing though some roads were deeply rutted. Sorry to have detour cut off several watering holes near Anderson Gate but understand its necessary for park maintenance.

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive!
