A variety of breakfasts and tastes good! Very close to the airport. There is Guardian(Drugstore) and 7-11 nearby. It's convenient! Nice view from rooftop pool. A little bit far from the beach and central area so need to take a Grab taxi. But it is fine because it is cheap and takes just 15-20 mins.

The resort was amazing. One of the most beautiful resorts we have been to. The pictures were actually not doing justice to the beauty of the place. I was positively surprised by the beach and venues. Really good selection of restaurants and places to relax. I like that fact that they have adults only pool and restaurant (despite we traveled as family). Small things like offering sunscreen at the beach pool were a nice touch and considerate service. The room was really spacious and the view on was spectacular. Loved that the Monkeys came and said hello to our son a couple of times to the balcony. Just remember to keep the doors closed.

We liked everything about this property. Staff was amazing, room was perfectly clean, we had balcony with the seaview. Breakfast and lunch had a lot of meals to offer, Asian and Mediterranean. Surrounding is good with lot of restaurants and shops. The beach is 3-5 min walking and if you don’t want to walk, they offer a buggy to take you there. And even it’s a public beach, it’s very clean. We enjoyed every minute in hotel.

A Tropical Jewel

Langkawi, as known as the jewel of Kedah, is the largest island in an archipelagio of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea. And a gem it certainly is, with lush scenery ranging from rice fields and rainforests to leaning palms on tropical beaches.

Of course, it’s the beaches that draw most visitors. Housing a good number of Langkawi hotels, Patai Cenang has the longest and most developed beach, and good nightlife. Neighbouring Pantai Tengah is more peaceful and a popular choice for families.

Langkawi Airport in the west is closest to Padang Matsirat. Just around the coast is the more secluded Burau Bay. The Telaga Tujuh waterfalls are nearby, and just north of its curving beach is the Langkawi Cable Car which travels into the heart of the rainforest, where the Sky Bridge provides amazing views.

Another sleepy beach is the northern Jalan Datai, home to a crocodile park. To the west Tanjung Rhu has one of the most scenic beaches, with bulbous, offshore islands reminiscent of many an action movie.

On the south of this duty-free island is the capital Kuah, whose most recognisable feature is the large eagle statue overlooking its harbour towards the islands beyond. This town has the largest concentration of apartments, motels and hotels in Langkawi on Booking.com.

We really enjoyed our stay here and wished we had stayed at this hotel longer rather than another one close by which we left early. Our rating is based on the quality of the place for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was great for the money, no complaints and the overall location...although a little away from the main drag...did not bother us at all ...there are plenty of places to eat and drink to choose from nearby. We liked the pool area...it had a tropical feel to it and very private though quite shallow. We saw a troop of dusky leaf monkeys right there in the bushes on the grounds, just a few metres away from us ... we'd been trying various trips all week to try to see these without success, then we randomly bimble around to the pool and there they are! One of the highlights of our trip.

This property is entirely unique. A stone’s throw from bustling Pantai Tengah, it is amazing how detached you can feel from the rest of the world when nestled in your canopy up in the rainforest. I came here for much needed relaxation after lots of travel, and Ambong delivered! It was so serene to sit on my terrace overlooking the distant water, watching the hornbills and monkeys. Breakfast was delicious and I also enjoyed dinner both nights at the Rimba restaurant. I also enjoyed a massage at the spa, and highly recommend it! The real cream of this experience was the staff who were so very kind and attentive. I will be back!

Yummy .. yummy Chinese food!), Chef Johari and his team at the Dayang Cafe, the reception staff, buggy attendees and drivers, cleaners, and everyone .. 😀 We had a memorable, relaxing, and fun few days where we got to see amazing nature ... flora, fauna, and animals! The location was really good, the room was massive, we had sea view and was worth the extra money as it was cheap anyway! it’s a 2* hotel so you get what you pay for but it was a good hotel and if you looking for a clean, tidy, safe hotel then I would recommend stay here. The pool was clean and well kept, beach location, note sure you could ask for better when it come to a 2* age were brought to the room, AC was great! The staff were friendly and just a relaxed no bother hotel.

We loved how central it was to everything and directly on the beach. Loads of restaurants just walking distance away including the food truck night market. The rooms were great. When the AC in one of the rooms stopped working, they were able to give us another room, at night. Luckily it wasn't full that particular night.

Spacious family room for the 4 for us. Bed was firm, but no complain as it really helped with my bad back. We all really relaxed in langkawi for 3 nights by mostly spending time in the hotel room, apart from massive shopping spree lol.

There are beaches that are far more better , Sand is mixed and not getting filtered from shells Sea water not clear and greenish ,water not clear and when you open your eyes you see nothing. and there are dangers such as venomous jellyfish and stone fish that you might stumble upon Although there are good attractions such as island hopping tours and set ski and parasailing that was very nice but if you are expecting the swimming experience l don’t recommend Restaurants are good and food is great with a lot of choices ,also halal ! And you can find nice souvenir shops

As there is no much tourist attractions surrounding Kuah, I just suggest to book rooms in Cenang area and roam using Grab taxis. If you stay in Kuah, It's better to hire a personal private rental vehicle. Cenang is bit costlier than Kuah but worth paying to cut your personal car requirement if you opt to stay in Kuah.

Langkawi and the people of langkawi as a whole are just beautiful. The scenery is mesmerising and so much to do. Cenang was a pleasure to visit and felt that everything was close by via my rental car.

No negatives at all. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice of restaurants with excellent food. Our room was large and very comfortable with big terrace and lovely views over the gardens. Beach was stunning and incredibly quiet.

Its just a great vacation here.. the staff is so friendly and the place was just too great.. i wish they have a lift so that customer can bring up their stuff easily.. overall very satisfied and if have a chance will come again to this beautiful place..

The beach was clean, and the sea was calm, most of the time. There were lots of creatures both on the beach and in the water. There were also monkeys , birds, bats, colugos and squirrels, making it a great place to observe and learn about nature

A beach totally taken over by skijets. Very dangerous place wirh hundreds of skijets and boats. Cars and scooters driving on the bech. Smell of gas is very powerfull. What could be a dream beach is destroyed by skijets. Very lively during the evening/night wirh fire shows. Not many places with shadow.

Kuah is peaceful and away from main beaches.

Kuah is peaceful and away from main beaches. If you like peace, this is the place but if you are coming with party mood finding something near to Cenang beach. Famous places are Maha Tower and Eagle Square. Most of the famous beaches like Cenang, Tanjung Rhu etc are 25-35 min of drive away from this place though finding cabs is not a big issue if you install Grab app in mobile.

You have the cable cars and surrounding area that takes a day to Explore and the crocodile park which is really good. Water falls and beaches. I would recommend staying at least 3 nights at this end of the island and 3 at the opposite end in kuha. Make sure to do the mangrove tour with a private boat haggle price.

Beautiful beach and mangroves.

Beautiful beach and mangroves. We did hte Mangrove ride and island hopping. Not easy to get around, its remote and on the northern most tip of the island, should have own vehicle. Not many restaurants around the area, only resorts.
