The place is beautiful. Fantastic location, with security, 2 min to shops and 5 min to the beach. Also close to the Ado tourist bus station. Don't look any further, as you will be delighted here. Miguel was a perfect host we could imagine, he upgraded our room to Master, which was the best place we stayed in our 16 days trip in Mexico. Clean, spacious bathroom, massive comfortable bed, night lamps lights, A/C great location- not in your face. As we had to wait for our late flight, we were offered to use common areas like living room, kitchen and bathroom, shower. I can't express how much we loved our stay. Miguel's suggestions for food were spot on, especially the Argentinian steak place. Thank you Miguel!

The location was great, the AC cold (we kept having to turn it off!) and the staff 12/10. The price was excellent, and having a mini fridge in the room really helps. We enjoyed the lobby coffee and cold water refill station. We only noticed the microwave tucked back in the dark corner on our last night, or else we would've used that to reheat our food from chedraui. We didn't use the spa at all, but have heard it's great.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Casa de la Playa Xcaret Hotel, and it exceeded perfection in every aspect. The view of the Caribbean Sea and the hotel’s signature swimming pool visible directly from the hotel room were breathtakingly beautiful. The hotel facilities are incredibly private, not only functioning excellently but also featuring impressive aesthetic details. The staff provided exceptional service as 24-hour butlers, always courteous and professional. The hotel offers exclusive transportation, allowing guests to fully enjoy everything Xcaret has to offer. Additionally, there is an impressive variety of high-quality restaurants to experience. Although the price is somewhat high, it is worth every penny.

Perfect family holiday location (we were here with two toddlers of 5/2). Great pool area, perfect beach, AI facilities at perfection with many bars across the entire area, great service staff, outstanding buffet restaurant choices and variety. Super entertainment team with good variety of activities (Highlight being the foam party on Tuesday). A nicely embedded jungle area with many animals provides really a tropical feeling. We will definitely come back one day, we had so much fun here.

Beautiful place, nice rooms with comfortable bed, TV, ac and even mini refrigerator, nice small swimming pool, very clean, in the center of Playa del Carmen - just 2 min walk from 5th Avenue and few min from the beach, but still quite and wonderful stuff who are always nice and helpful. I stayed 3 nights, and I'll be happy to come here again.

By far the best thing about Playa del Carmen is the close...

By far the best thing about Playa del Carmen is the close proximity to cenotes. They are amazing water filled caves that you can explore, but you'll always need to do so with a guide. Otherwise, Playa del Carmen is pretty whatever. Kinda fun if you're looking for touristy party bar vibes (like Hard Rock Cafe type stuff), but generally it feels like a tourist trap for the most part. There are soooo many scammers here and it's really hard to tell what is a legitimate official group or just another scammer. For example, the Tulum national park entrance is filled with people selling tickets and tours as if they are park employees, but they are not. They even have constructed a fake security gate entrance to make it appear you must buy tickets before entering the park area, and of course the tickets they sell are about 4x the actual price. The beaches could be nice if they weren't filled with garbage. This is likely because many street food vendors and restaurants serve styrofoam and plastic utensils that frequently end up on the beach and broken into tiny bits. So the beaches are actually quite ugly as a result. Tren Maya is pretty useless since they decided to construct it miles inland from the towns, so it just leaves you in the middle of the jungle. Overall, I mostly just felt like I was being ripped off every day I was in Playa de Carmen and the area around it. I'd only recommend visiting a cenote or two and leaving for some place nicer.

This hotel is not for families, it was way to much noise all night long drunk people scream in the hallways , our door was nock at 1-3 in the morning woke up our children age 2y, 6y, 8y. The staff were so helpless, unfriendly and rude. Every time we had to eat was so stressful cause the waiters will be so mad and we will ask for things like water they will take for ever to give to us. It was a buffe every time but water wasn’t available or even a spoon. They drop drinks next to ur table they didn’t clean it the whole breakfast we were there, i was so afraid any of us will fall down. Front Thea people never knew the answer. Overall we were so disappointed. It feel like a super cheap hotel, full of a lot of drunk people. I read bad reviews and didn’t payed attention but I wish I did. I’m not happy at all with this hotel experience and I’m not planing to eve go back. The ocean was the only thing was good about our trip.

Playa del Carmen is lively and full of energy, but the city beach can get crowded, and some areas aren’t always clean due to dogs and their activities. I would suggest staying in Playacar or nearby for a cleaner, more private beach while still being close to the city.

What a cool spot!

What a cool spot! We are definitely not the all inclusive resort kind of travelling family. So when we stumbled upon Puerto Adventuras, we were hapily impressed. There was so much to do within walking distance. There is a park, kids camps, beautiful beaches, swimming pools, amazing choice restaurants, and an overall really cool vibe. I liked it because although it felt like - yes this is definitely an international tourist destination - it also felt grounded and down to earth. In addition to the travellers who pass through, many people live and work in Puerto Adventuras giving it a really lovely family neighbourhood feel.

The beach is public, therefore a bit too many people (especially on weekends). Though not sure if you can find a more private one next to a hotel. Not much for walking as well, only max 2 miles of the beach, after that rocks.

Beaches aren't great, to be honest. They look cool from the outside. The main beaches are full (1-10 December). The one by the resort had some big rocks and wasn't very good for kids. The water looks very nice, though.

Find out what local bands are on in the bars they are great . Rent a car it’s just as cheap as a golf cart and you can travel out of the complex and visit the supermarket other beaches and done lovely local attractions.
