I loved how green the hotel area wI as. Everything was super clean and exceeded our expectations. We visited other places on the coast, and this one felt special. First, I thought it would bother us nothing is happening there, and there are no restaurants, but this was not the case at all. I would bring more fresh food next time as the kitchen was well equipped for cooking

Casa Piedra is amazing, really nice for a family and if you want to disconnect. The team is extremely careful and nice, and the location is on a beautiful virgin beach where you can see different kinds of birds and fishes. The bungalows are really nice, decorated with good taste and convenient. We will definitely come back as soon as possible.

The hotel is brand new and they did an amazing job - it is very beautiful. we received an upgrade and loved our luxurious room. The breakfast menu selection is amazing - you are in contact with guest service/owner (?) via WhatsApp and can choose from an amazing breakfast offer one day before. The breakfast was delicious and prepared with love by wonderful Lupita :) When our tour was scheduled too early for breakfast they made us sandwiches we could take to the tour! Also very cool - you have a code for the main door and you room, so you can’t forget or loose the key/card 😀 Thank you for our amazing stay on Oaxaca

Beautiful house. It feels like a luxurious home stay, you are treated like a guest of a family. The property is like a very exquisite holiday house that has been converted into a hotel with 9 rooms. The pool was lovely, the decor is tastefully selected and the staff are super helpful. The nearby beach is one of the best we went to in the area.

The room was spacious and had everything we needed and more. Even though buggies were available, everything was easily accessible and we walked. We spent our time on the wonderful Mexicana beach and again was so clean and looked after, the staff were amazing and a special shout out to Firman the barman who was brilliant. In fact all of the staff made the holiday what it was, if you don't have good staff it can ruin everything - they were all amazing in whatever area they worked in. Buffet was so much better than we thought. Will def recommend and will def come back again.

Hotel is situated in the quieter end of Zipolite beach with a dedicated patio / sun tanning area. Our room on the second floor was large, clean, and comfortable (AC helped) and came with an inspiring view of the sea. Bed was large with crisp sheets. Shower, although with no hot water, was large with a constant supply of water (which can be a problem in Mexico). Breakfast was tasty. Hotel pool was a good size and most often empty. Staff at this family-run hotel were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return to this hotel again.

Acuario acted as a mini stop gap for us, it had what we needed and in such a great location. The staff were epically helpful and would stay here again. It's basic but literally is perfect for a in between stay to get away from the hustle & bustle of LaPunta or the rustica coast lines.

Wonderful people and amazing food.

Wonderful people and amazing food. Walking around Oaxaca and the ease of driving out of town to interesting locations really made for a wonderful trip. Bonus on the Carrera Pan Americana race coming through on stage one of the race. The evening show with the cars and driving crews was an unexpected bonus held surrounding the historic downtown cathedral. Another unexpected bonus was finding out about the Octoberfest in Oaxaca. A wonderful gathering/party hosted by the various craft breweries in Oaxaca. We had a great time. I can't say enough about the wonderful food and the excellent, friendly service given us. If you've never had Mole, I especially liked the Mole Negro! I can safely say, I'll be back!

Puerto Escondido is a superb coastal location with such a relaxed vibe. People are friendly. There are beaches for surfing and others for swimming avd sunbathing. The marine life is in abundance and many tour companies that can help organise excellent tours for dolphins, whales and turtle watching. Puerto Escondido is a great place to spend a few days after Oaxaca. Will love to return back!

Santa Cruz has a nice Marina where you can book a fishing or Whale / Dolphin watching trip as well as a small swimming beach where you can spend the day. There are nice hotels, small shops several good restaurants nearby. You can also walk to nearby "La Crucecita" though the connecting corridor or take a taxi for about $5 USD to the downtown area nearby with a greater selection of restaurants and stores where you can by most anything you may want or need.

I enjoyed Brisas de Zicatela. In particular, the beach was clean and uncrowded, with plenty of room to enjoy the water and sand. The town was quaint, busy but also uncrowded, and all needed amenities and food options were easily accessible.

Mazunte is a wonderful, laid-back friendly town. There are many restaurants with diverse cuisines and shops with beautiful and unique art, clothing and local goods. It is very much an old-hippie town with kind and welcoming vibes. Fun!!!

Well, I.from the cold blue north and live in Oaxaca much of the year. Zipollite, if you don't know, is a tiny hub of tranquillity and common sense, about and hour south of Puerto E. It is the only nude beach in Mexico which scares away the MAGA crowd, but basically anything considered weird in other places is overlooked here. You can smoke a little weed in the surf side cafes. You can start a conversation with anyone in almost any language. You are worshipped for the goddess inside you and the town is full of beautiful young men and women with a few locals sprinkled in. I hate it that the real estate prices have gone sky high, but you can still rent a basic apt for about 10,000 pesos per month. The food is excellent. The people are lovely. I'm an old straight college teacher from CAnada and I love the place.

San Agustinillo is a quiet strip between Mazunte and Zipolite. It's lovely and peaceful, has some nice cafes and restaurants so you don't need to venture further if you don't want to. We found our favourite lunch place - Umami, and our favourite dinner place - Restobar Del Fondo. Both are delicious and not too pricey!

Salina Cruz is a very peaceful place offering some beaches where surfing can be performed. It was a tiny seaport that grew up due to the oil refinery, not really recommended as a tourist destination by itself since there are limited facilities, with lot of eateries but very few good restaurants, one of them being Santa Julia inside the Misión de San José Hotel. Many secondary streets are in need of maintenance or not paved, although main avenues are in more or less good condition. Most of the traveling here has to do with oil or navy issues.

Puerto Angel is more secluded than I thought. I dislike that I had to take a taxi from one side of the puerto to the other. There was enough restaurants. It was a struggle to find something reasonably priced for lunch.

Oaxaca is a marvelous city combining beautiful architecture...

Oaxaca is a marvelous city combining beautiful architecture from colonial times to many indigenous peoples and customs. Dancing in the streets and street theater. Art everywhere, good food we loved it!!
