A very special and authentic place! The owner and her daughter are really lovely people, and Xiknal is a home away from home. A place to slow down and relax! The courtyard is really beautiful, and the room has everything you need. And Paloma (the dog) is extremely cute and playful! While being super close to the city center, it is very quiet, which I deeply appreciated to get proper rest after diving. The staff were super helpful and looked after my bag when I had checked out. I would come back in a heartbeat!

An old-fashioned hotel with design elements reminiscent of the 80s and 90s, but that doesn't detract from the reasonably high quality of the food, the exceptional attention and helpfulness of the staff, or the stunning beach and sea. In fact, the beach and sea here are far superior to many other places you’ll find in Cancun—absolutely incredible. The in-room amenities, such as shampoo and shower gels, could use some improvement, but this was not an issue for us at all. The reasonably sized pool, surrounded by a bar and snack area, and the amazing beach with its aquarium-like sea where you can walk right into the water, make it a fantastic value for the price we paid. This all-inclusive resort doesn’t feel restrictive, which is a major plus. Highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious food, a reasonable price, and a wonderful seaside experience.

Very comfortable room. Good storage space. Washing line outside to dry your wet swim things. Very effective air con. Pillow was the best ever, I am buying a new pillow when I get home! Kids loved having a dip in the pool. Great ice cream place round one corner and great breakfast round the other corner. We only stayed one night to get a bit more time in Cozumel with our young kids (were had our main holiday in Playa) and it was perfect. Quiet location.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostelito. Staff was super nice and helped wherever they could. It's just a few minutes away from the ferry and there are a lot of restaurants around. The rooftop pool is just awesome for sunsets. The room is quite big, a bit outdated but still clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Liked having access to the main "Fiesta Americana" hotel and its amenities, that the beach always had available beds, and a reasonably diverse range of drinks and food included in the all inclusive package. I loved the drift snorkeling along the beach! The water was crystal clear in front of the resort, fish swam around you. Long walks on the beach were amazing. The water was the most beautiful I’ve been in while in México. It’s very murky on the main land in Mexico!!

I liked the small kitchen in our room. The A/C was plenty cold. Was really cool to see the Cruise ships just outside our windows everyday. The ocean view was awesome and relaxing. The snorkeling was spectacular at the seaside of the hotel.

If you love the sea, snorkeling and diving this is the right place for you. Fabulous sea world and fun divers brother/sisterhood. The island is also visited by many big cruise ships and that changes the intimate feel of some locations when those ships are inn.

I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving.

I have been visiting Cozumel for 15 years, for diving. While the people are friendly and the number of good restaurants has increased over that time, unfortunately the reef has been degraded effecting the diving experience. Its is my contention the powers that control Cozumel care more about making money from cruise ships than the environment, local people or infrastructure of Cozumel.

I enjoyed the natural beauty of the areas outside the touristy downtown area. I rented a scooter and drove the entire perimeter of the island (about 2 hours around without stops), but there are a few sightseeing locations, so plan a bit more time. I was there to go scuba diving and it did not disappoint. Once you get out of the touristy areas Cozumel is basically a rundown Caribbean island with not much to offer.
