We are absolutely satisfied with our stay at the Oasis hotel and would recommend it to everyone visiting Dhigurah island! The hotel is beautiful, well equipped and only few steps from the beach. There is a small, cozy garden where the meals are served. You can enjoy a free coffee or tea at any time. Our room was cleaned every day and there was a bottle of water waiting for us. Apart from the hotel itself, what deserves a great appreciation is the staff. They were looking after us literally from our first to our last step on the island. The personnel is responsive and always there for you to help. On our last evening the hotel organized a fantastic surprise that we will never forget. We were feeling really welcomed and taken care of which we have never experienced to this extend in any other hotel we visited. Special thanks to Waruna, who pampered our room with great attention to details and took care of us during breakfasts. Thank you Oasis Team for the unforgettable stay!

We stayed at the beach club, which is just a short walk from the main hotel. You can use all facilities of the main hotel. The room is very comfortable (balcony a bit small). Staff of the hotel is excellent! Both the staff at the reception, cleaning of the room and kitchen are extremely helpful and friendly. Food (buffet style) was included in our booking and every time we looked forward to this. You won’t be disappointed booking this accommodation!

The hotel has amazing staff. It is close to the bikini beach. Has a wide variety of excursions and scuba diving available, they help in everything including all transfers and communication, even with the speedboat transfer from the airport. Top floor restaurant has great food and drink options, and an amazing view. They even have umbrellas for rainy days so you do not need to pack them.

We had an unforgettable week at Rihiveli Residence. The experience was simply superb! The staff was incredibly attentive and hospitable, always ready to assist with any of our requests. The room was spacious, with a stunning view of the sea, and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Overall, the experience was mixed. The positives included the cleanliness of the room and the convenient location of the hotel near the beach. We enjoyed excellent service at the hotel restaurant, where culinary masterpieces simply amazed the imagination. And how they celebrated my birthday, you have to see it to believe it. We will definitely come back here again and again!

Six different restaurants to choose from. Fushi restaurant offers a buffet with different selection every day. I highly recommend to book half board. You will save a lot. Plenty of available water activities. Scuba diving, fishing, snorkeling, dolphin tours, etc. Nice kids club with lots of activities. Outside playground and water castle. Cooking classes. Rockclimbing wall. Karaoke. Game room. You have bicycles assigned to your room. We were riding the bicycles every day around the island. You just can't can't get enough of the nature. The whole island just feels so quiet. Most of the time we hardly saw any people during the day. It almost felt like we rented the whole island.

The resort is fantastic, the staff is extraordinary friendly and they did everything so we could be able to have an incredible stay in paradise. We swam with wild dolphins, which was a "once-in-a-lifetime-experience". Our Over-Water-Villa was super nice, we had Eagle Rays and a little reef shark swimming right below it.

An interesting place. Mostly pleasant people. Uneven pavements, loads of motorbikes parked make walking difficult too. Somewhat improved over the last few years. Currently (November 2025) many public facilities closed and sitting down anywhere is clearly not encouraged.

Maafushi was a big island.

Maafushi was a big island. I didn't like it because it was all under construction. It was a big construction site. Very big buildings which ruined the whole image of a small exotic island. I didn't feel like I was in the Maldives and it didn't offer me what I imagined. In general, be careful of buyers, they will try to exploit you and sell you expensively.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

We LOVED Dhiffushi!

We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

The sand bank and bikini beach were beautiful. Nice that US dollars are accepted but annoying that the $ needs to be pristine. Request speed boat for whale shark excursion. Nice variety of restaurants.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island. Dangerous rip currents near the island have caused multiple drownings which continue to go unaddressed. The food across the island is inedible and prepared by untrained staff. The island is littered with trash and by no means lives up to its claim of an “eco-conscious environment”

I enjoyed pretty much everything.

I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.
