United KingdomThe staff here are amazing! From the moment we booked our stay until we checked out, they took care of everything. They arranged our airport transportation, helped us choose the perfect rooms, and even recommended water activities and spa treatments. The reception staff was always super helpful and friendly, and the restaurant staff was always smiling and happy to serve us. The boat trip guides were also top-notch, and the ladies in the spa were simply incredible. We only stayed for three nights, but they made us feel so special and welcome. Best staff ever!
And the island itself is gorgeous! The beach is beautiful and not too crowded. Highly recommend 👌

RussiaNew hotel with very well thought-through design, truly friendly staff and good location. Beach is less than 10 steps away from the main entrance. Sea has big shallow area with sand as well as area with enough depth to swim comfortably. Breakfasts were very good. Hotel is a tall building so sea-view from room is fantastic. There’s a bar at the top of the hotel where you can observe entire island from, including sunset.
Special complements to the hotel’s manager who was very attentive, chef and his team for easily handling special dietary requirements. Rooms cleaning was great. I wish the team continued success maintaining such a high benchmark set at opening.

Very kind stuff and everything was perfectly organized. Stuff was all the time available to help with whatever we needed. Altrough it was windy season they put extraordinary effort to keep all the facilities clean and safe. I read some reviews here that people experienced problem with connection, communication or stuff communication. Obviously Kandima put a lot of effort to improve all that as we didn't experience any problem during our stay. All inclusive was a great value. We had great time at dinners in restaurants Smoked, Sea Dragon and Azure. Also main restaurants were very clean and food was good. Not so many chlices if you expect European food only, but fish and seafood was great.
Also, beach jacuzzi villa was great value with direct access to the beach ans very big jacuzzi. Overall, bathroom was like mini spa center.
This is our 5th time in Maldives and this is one of the best experience especially as we traveled with a small kid (<2yo).

Our stay at Ayada Maldives was absolutely amazing. The location is stunning, and everything about the resort was perfect, but what truly made this experience unforgettable was the staff.
Every morning we looked forward to breakfast mainly because of the head chef Tulshi, who always made our mornings special. In the evenings, we couldn’t wait for dinner thanks to the chef at Magu who prepared desserts for us every evening, including his delicious homemade ice cream.
We loved coming back to our room thanks to our wonderful housekeeper Nasrin, who was always kind, helpful, gave us great advice, and enjoyed chatting with us, which made us feel truly at home.
A very special thank you also goes to our butler Rolando, who took excellent care of us and made our stay even more comfortable. This resort is a true paradise, and the people working there are what make it truly exceptional. We can’t wait to come back.

This was my second stay at LUX and once again it was a truly special experience. We stayed in August, with wonderful weather, in a beautiful water villa overlooking the crystal-clear sea. The resort is enchanting: the island is large and well equipped, offering many facilities such as a gym, diving center, six restaurants and several bars. The international breakfast was excellent and served in two different restaurants. During our stay we dined almost every evening at Umami, the Japanese restaurant: outstanding food thanks to Chef Jester and impeccable service by Reehaan. I highly recommend trying it.

gorgeous, newly renovated resort with lots of daily events, various excursions and facilities.
Note that
1.its really close to the main airport so after long flight its great to be transferred fast&smooth
2.its connected with 2 other resorts with non stop available and free speedboats. Its important to have option for those who are after maldives can be boring.

An interesting place. Mostly pleasant people. Uneven pavements, loads of motorbikes parked make walking difficult too. Somewhat improved over the last few years. Currently (November 2025) many public facilities closed and sitting down anywhere is clearly not encouraged.

Maafushi was a big island.
Maafushi was a big island. I didn't like it because it was all under construction. It was a big construction site. Very big buildings which ruined the whole image of a small exotic island. I didn't feel like I was in the Maldives and it didn't offer me what I imagined. In general, be careful of buyers, they will try to exploit you and sell you expensively.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

Thoddoo is a very interesting Island.
Thoddoo is a very interesting Island. It has very green, lush vegetation and seems to produce fruit and vegetables for the rest of the country. The beaches are simply amazing. Endless white, sandy coral beachfront surrounded by coconut palms and much vegetation. The water is a stunning turquoise with fantastic visibility making snorkeling an absolute treat. Here you can see many, many sea turtles close up and only metres from the beach. A great variety of fish can also be experienced with ease. The main guest beach has an amazing set up with Many showers, bathrooms, tree swings, hammocks and fruit/ ice cream/ snack stalls. An amazing feature is that they set up a massive row of sunbeds on the waters edge around 5 pm to be able to watch the sunset!! A lovely touch. If you want a more isolated beach, just walk north and you will be blessed with amazing virgin beaches with only coconut palms offering shade and not. a sole in sight. The island is small and can be walked around quite easily. Bikes and scooters are easily available for added speed. The centre has a variety of restaurants and shops within easy reach making t a well organized location to relax and enjoy. As with all the Maldivian Islands, there is a massive spate of construction . You will see a building site on every corner. There seems to be a plethora of new Hotels and guest houses coming. This will spoil the beauty and uniqueness of these gorgeous islands and will put the limited infrastructure to the test. With Thoddoo the good thing is that the construction is around the centre and therefore far from the beautiful beaches. Go soon if you want t o go before its too late!!

The sand bank and bikini beach were beautiful. Nice that US dollars are accepted but annoying that the $ needs to be pristine. Request speed boat for whale shark excursion. Nice variety of restaurants.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island.
Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island. Dangerous rip currents near the island have caused multiple drownings which continue to go unaddressed. The food across the island is inedible and prepared by untrained staff. The island is littered with trash and by no means lives up to its claim of an “eco-conscious environment”

I enjoyed pretty much everything.
I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.
