ItalyI had a room with balcony and sea view and highly recommended. You can sleep with the sound of the ocean and watch beautiful sunsets. They clean the room every day and provide fresh towels for the beach. Staff is very kind and supportive. The double bed is big. You have also big wardrobe and fridge which is very useful. They respond on WhatsApp which helps and arrange also the speed boat.
You also have sunbeds you can use for free at the private beach.

To our host Shrea, who I just couldn’t speak more highly of, not only for everything she did to make our stay easy, stress free and memorable, always with the nicest of smiles and a beautiful nature, but more importantly for the truly special relationship she built with our son. He absolutely adored her, would run to her if he saw her near by and wouldn’t want to let her go. Would call her name around the resort, and just couldn’t wait to see her. Shrea would also go to the kids club to see him whenever she could, a friendship that was magical to watch!
To all the amazing people at the reception, that were always happy, helpful and were super patient, as our toddler would try to get into the back office to say hello to everyone, all the time. Shout to Cynthia, who was another of our son’s favourite ppl!
To the two beautiful ladies at the Bageecha restaurant that greet you morning, day and night with the most genuine and warmth of smiles, setting you up to have a great day. To the countless waiters and all round stuff at the restaurant, who are constantly going above and beyond, and were a life saver entertaining our toddler at meal times, and even offered to make different food for him.
To the man that looked after our villa’s housekeeping, going above and beyond making sure our villa was clean, comfortable and restocked.
To the Araamu spa staff, who run a beautiful spa with super talented masseuses, we had 2 couples massages and are the best we have had to date. Also shout out to the beautiful lady that seats near reception where you can book the spa treatments, always happy, smiling and genuinely interested in knowing how your stay is going.
To Joyce, the baby sitter that looked after our toddler a few hours every day, that took him on many buggy rides (a highlight of his trip) and to the entire team at the Wavy Navy kid’s club, my son would literally run from our villa to the kids club, so excited to go there.

Amazing Paradise Vacation!
We had an unforgettable time at Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives. Everything was top-notch — from the service to the location.
We stayed in a water villa, and it was pure paradise! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Having the ability to step directly into the water from our villa added a unique charm to our stay. The endless ocean views were mesmerizing.
A special thanks to Mahmud, who cleaned our room twice a day. His attentiveness, attention to detail, and kindness made our stay even more enjoyable.
One magical and unforgettable moment happened during our stay. All Maldivians were so kind and friendly to our daughter, but one episode stood out as extraordinary. Our daughter accidentally dropped her book into the ocean and was heartbroken. She was crying when Ameem approached us and asked what had happened. After learning about the book, he gave her a small pendant as a gift to cheer her up.
But what happened next truly felt like a fairytale. When we returned to our room about two hours later, we found a note on the bed along with two gifts for our daughter, Eva — and her book, which he had retrieved from the ocean. It was dried, cleaned, and placed carefully for her to find. This act of kindness and care left us absolutely speechless.
The activities offered by the hotel were also impressive. The program included a variety of engaging options, from snorkeling to incredible excursions that allowed us to fully experience the beauty of the Maldives. Every tour was well-organized and left us with unforgettable memories.
The hotel staff deserves special praise: everyone was very friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any request.
We enjoyed relaxing on the white sandy beaches, the cozy atmosphere of our villa, and the opportunity to discover so much through the excursions. This place is perfect for a romantic getaway and complete relaxation.

There is no wonder why this resort is rated one of the top 10 resorts in the maldives year after year. It really is THE BEST in all aspects.
Exceptional service and hospitality from Gili Lankanfushi from start to finish, we were greeted at the airport and swiftly swept away to our speed boat that was already waiting for us at the dock. Then we met the staff on the boat who were our first taste of Gili, the guys were lovely. We were lucky to be the only guests on the boat that morning and it felt like a private experience. The guys on the boat even slowed down to show us some dolphins on the way to Gili which was absolutely amazing.
As soon as we arrived we were met by a couple of managers, a few staff members and our outstanding Mr Friday, Zubba. Every room is designated a “Mr Friday” inspired by the Robinson Crusoe movie.
Zubba gave us a quick buggy tour of the island, and also checked us in to our room early. Here we opted for the over water villa and we weren’t disappointed, the views of the ocean from our deck were uninterrupted and the water was clean and full of exotic fish and baby sharks. The decor was very authentic castaway island vibes and just so beautiful.
The hotel does not have a reception, Zubba explained that he was the reception and is available to us 24 hours for any and every request. After this Zubba left us to do our own thing which was much appreciated. In our past experience at a Maldivian resort the host pressured us to book activities and avoided us unless we had booked pricey excursions with her. But this was not the case with Zubba, we felt like we really had a friend here, he was always there when we needed, exceptionally fast replies and he sorted any issues we had with no complaints. At no point did we feel unwanted or annoying, as Zubba was insistent that we reach out to him whenever we needed him, whilst also giving us our freedom.

Our stay was absolutely incredible. We were greeted with the lovely reception at the pier after a very comfortable short trip via speedboat. We then enjoyed the brand new beautiful, spacious and quiet over-water villa with a wonderful sunset view and private pool. Ibrahim was our host during our stay - he was always available when we needed him and exceeded with everything we asked for! From helping us get to places, sorting restaurant reservations, to giving us tips for snorkeling spots and having answers to all our Maldives-related questions. The resort and facilities were perfect - all restaurants were amazing, especially Baan Huura and Origami. Roshan and Sony at Origami truly made our night special. For people that like activities, there is more than enough to chose from. We really can't wait to be back. All in all a perfect place to stay and relax and enjoy time away from a busy time at home.

"Arena Beach Hotel made our stay in Maafushi unforgettable. The staff were friendly, proactive, and made us feel right at home. Bob, who met us at the jetty, was incredibly helpful, Friendly & Reena from the reception team was always welcoming. The hotel is perfectly located right on Bikini Beach, giving us direct access to the beach and beautiful views. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. They even surprised us with a lovely bed decoration and a complimentary cake for my wife’s birthday—a wonderful touch! We had an amazing time and would highly recommend Arena Beach Hotel. We got a villa at sufficient distance from the main beach - such a gateway on the island! The furnishings, the design, the open plan bathroom are a total delight. The flora and fauna of the island are fascinating. There are some dead coral in the beach sand in front of the villa, but this is not a problem. The hotel and restaurant staff are very helpful, the cooks are cheerful and friendly, the menu is varied and delicious. There is no crowd, everything is calm and decent. Transfer is clearly organized. Our first experience on Maldives was very positive.

Everything was exceptional. Our room was prepared every evening for 'wind down', the staff were all very friendly. Meals at the buffet restaurant and ala carte restaurants were beyond expectations. The all-inclusive package was very worth it, although there's only so much we could eat! I love the quietness and exclusivity of the 700+ over-water villas, and we witnessed the most gorgeous sunsets and sunrise at the resort. I'm so glad I chose the Meeru resort for my first-trip to Maldives!

We loved our holidays at Adaaran Prestige Vadoo! The service, the staff, they were all so nice and kind to us. Hotel accessible from Male airport by a 25 min speed boat trip. The reef is beautiful for snorkelling (outside the wall is recommended). Definitely a romantic atmosphere ! Wonderful staff. Amazing restaurants on the seaside!

Everything was perfect and we could do everything inside the island. All the staff were very friendly and gave good support. There is a good variety of food in the buffet, specially different types of Asian cuisine.

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced.
One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there.
Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in...
I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement.
The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)!
Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!).
I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive!
Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus.
Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!

We booked a family room, and starting from the booking until reaching the Airport to go back home, Aqua Sunset was there for us; just like a family. They prepared all of our meals for us, not to forget to mention the beautiful walkway to the beach was right outside the guest dining area. So we all enjoyed the walk along the coastline, to the bikini beach together, after our meals. The end of the Marina is also right outside the dining area; where they feed the marine life & was also fun to watch with the family, after dinner. We had a super experience, too, with Aqua Sunset’s excursion management team. We booked a half-day family excursion, to swim with the turtles together, and it was so amazing! They even gave us a video of all of us together with the turtles. We all recommend Aqua Sunset because it’s budget/family friendly, the location is perfect, and because everyone made us feel welcomed. Enjoy!

Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !

It was a lovely island friendly people & I think I stayed in the best place for me on this island my host were fantastic, they could not of done more to make my stay any better than it already was 10/10 perfect 😍
I loved all the food I had @ Indian cafe,loved swimming @ the local beach, not bikini beach
One thing I really disliked was Moscow yeda they tried to double charge me on my credit card when I asked them about 6 of them just started laughing, eventually I got my money back & that was the only bad experience on the whole island.
