TurkeyWe were staying during the low season, so it was uncrowded. Staff is very hospitable, friendly and helpfull. Rooms are big, new and really clean. We had "full board", chef cooked personal meals for us, various and tasty. Plus they serve delicious juice or refreshing drink for every meal. Location is perfect - close to the big bikini beach with a good reef with turtles. Highly recommended!

BelgiumWell finished and clean rooms with spacious balcony. Extremely friendly staff. They treat you like part of the family all the way, from arrival at the airport to departure. They even prepared us a take away breakfast as we were leaving very early. The daily trips they arranged for us were also amazing. The guides are the best, always there for us, even helping the ones with lower swimming experience patiently. I hope I can be back soon. Finally, the restaurant at the hotel itself made our trip quite easy.

The staff was exceptional, everyone was super friendly, helpful, and always made sure we had everything we needed. We felt like at home during our stay at the Sands Grand Hotel. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed, and the breakfast was delicious, offering everything you could need: eggs, fruits, local dishes, juice, and always water, which was regularly replenished in the room. Additionally, the room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided daily.
The excursion we took through the Sands Grand was perfect, the underwater world is incredible here, and the hotel manager personally took care of us, making sure we saw as much as possible. The island itself is a paradise on earth, with long white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters. There are plenty of restaurants and shops as well.
So, thank you once again to the entire Sands Grand Hotel team, it was an amazing experience. If we return to the Maldives, we will definitely choose this hotel again.

The hosts were very professional and kind, and they even informed us about the Maldivian cultural evening event, which was held nearby. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Both Thoddoo Sunset beach and Thoddoo Sunrise beach are quite close to the hotel, as well as the restaurants and a couple of shops. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

The people are the key!
Beside all the very comfortable, well equipped, bright, clean and few steps from ocean located luxury beach and watervillas, beside the great offers and service from recreation manager Nishan and his team, from SPA, from diving center, reservation, reception, restaurant and poolbar, it has been the outstanding kindness of the whole resort team plus the privacy you can find if needed at this cosy boutique resort Amaya Kuda Rah which did create a paradise vacation for us!
One hint for others, our personal opinion:
If you search rest, recreation, paradise incl. options for excursions (islands, sandbanks, diving, snorkeling) than Amaya Kuda Rah is the place to be.
If you have teens with you who need daily action and big sports or party program directly behind your villa, than probably bigger resorts might fit better.
This cosy luxury resort seems made to charge your soul and your batteries with positive energy (try the meditation or the yoga at sunrise at the beach and the sunset cruise) and with amazing memories to the nature and to the resort team taking care for you.

This was my second stay at LUX and once again it was a truly special experience. We stayed in August, with wonderful weather, in a beautiful water villa overlooking the crystal-clear sea. The resort is enchanting: the island is large and well equipped, offering many facilities such as a gym, diving center, six restaurants and several bars. The international breakfast was excellent and served in two different restaurants. During our stay we dined almost every evening at Umami, the Japanese restaurant: outstanding food thanks to Chef Jester and impeccable service by Reehaan. I highly recommend trying it.

I have never been to a more beautiful place than Nika Island. The island itself is put together like a beautiful garden, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the food is tasty and fresh (the salads are right from the hotel's own garden!), but most of all: the coral reef around the island is ridiculously beautiful! in just one week we saw at the reef's edge (just a minute or two from our water villa) everything from giant fish schools to turtles, sharks and even a manta ray

Absolutely amazing resort that is very clean and quiet. The staff was always very nice and tried to fulfill every wish. Breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant are great, the sommeliers also offer a wide selection of wines from all over the world. The a la carte restaurant Alizee is also a gastronomic treat. The beaches all around the island are beautiful and the location is also ideal for snorkelling. There is absolutely nothing to fault, we were completely satisfied.

Amazing tropical resort hotel, we stayed cottage on water, it's on Ocean.
Room is very big, clean, and have everything with big bathtub, comfortable king size bed.
And staff is excellent, very friendly, service is perfect, and they kindly gave a surprise present for us.
Restaurants also Wonderful, there are thai, Italian, buffet Restaurants, and breakfast also great buffet with Champaign.
We must come back here soon, it's best hotel Ireland.

Had an amazaing stay at Lilys. The island’s house reef is amazing! We snorkeled with colorful fishes and reef sharks. The island itself is lush and feels like a tropical paradise.
The buffet in the evening was great. The food was fantastic at Vibes and Aqua.
All the staff they are amazing and will take care of you. As a cocktail lover, I was impressed—every drink was perfectly prepared!

Best island of the maldives. We've Been to alot. Reef is one of the best. Service is the best from every island we visited. Checkin at moment we arrived. Check out 14.30 as our flight was at 19.45 in male. Food like no other. Shame there is no choice between waterplane or cheaper boat. We looked at prices and waited for good deal.

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island. Dangerous rip currents near the island have caused multiple drownings which continue to go unaddressed. The food across the island is inedible and prepared by untrained staff. The island is littered with trash and by no means lives up to its claim of an “eco-conscious environment”

Great Island, plenty to do and good snorkelling straight off Villa. Food, people and facilitiies were great - cannot fault. Deluxe water villas were a bit tired and really need a refurbishment - other than that great time in Kuramathi...

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways.
Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants.
Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type.
Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out.
Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got.
Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

It is a small enough island to walk around.
It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello.
There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food.
There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists.
We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there...
It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean.
We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄
The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there

Superb new facility and well connected atoll with great diving spots close by, the diving crew is well experienced and friendly, and they conduct PADI certification courses as well.
All inclusive includes free kayaking for one hour every day (depending on sea conditions), free SUP for one hour every day (depending on sea conditions) and free rental of snorkeling gear for the entire duration of stay. There were several other water sport options like jet sky, dive tours, night snorkeling as well. The active coral reef need a bit of a boat ride to reach but they are filled with fishes. The whale shark viewing was amazing!!

Mathiveri is a small, calm island with a very natural, local feel. Life moves slowly here, which makes it easy to truly rest and disconnect. The beach is just across the street and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and quiet walks.
Snorkeling trips were a highlight - clear water, turtles, reef life, and respectful guides who care about the ocean.
There are several water activities available, including kayaking, banana boat rides, jet ski rental, and wakeboarding behind a jet ski.
If you’re looking for luxury, nightlife, or crowds, this is not the place. But if you want peace, nature, water activities, and a real island atmosphere, Mathiveri is a great choice.
