The moment I booked, Shiyam (the owner of the hotel) whatsapped me and helped me coordinate the speedboats (60 USD each way, less than 2h) + sent me a catalogue with all the activities (whale shark encounter, manta ray, etc) and the whole trip prepation was very smooth and easy.
Once I arrived to the island they picked me up from the port and transferred to the hotel and was received by Anoof - a great guy - who gave me a coconut as a welcome drink. The property is small, 7-8 rooms aprox and very well taken care off. It was inaugurated in November 2024 and everything is very new and clean.
The room was very spacious, AC was working perfectly, super clean and comfortable bed and a very modern bathroom and shower. Wifi was working perfectly from both the room and the restaurant.
The hotel is a at a walking distance from the beaches and the "main street" of the island which has some souvenir stores and tiny supermarket. The hotel offers bikes for free and you can rent mopeds. Hotel provides towels you can take to the beach of for excursions.
The whole island is 3km long and you can easily walk from the hotel to the very end of the island in about 45min-1h. This walk has the most beautiful beach you will ever see. One of the best islands I've ever been to.
Breakfast is included with the room and offers both a local option and international. Quality is really good. Take into account everything in Maldives, specially in tiny islands, is imported so finding basic things such as eggs or fresh vegetables is neither easy nor cheap, however this hotel offers good products. The food from the restaurant is also quite good. The Maldivian curry and the rice with Tuna were delicious.
Finally, excursions have very decent prices. Whale shark 90 USD (compared to the 500 USD that resorts charge, and it is the same sea and animals), Manta Ray (60 USD), etc.
If I am ever back in Dhigurah I will certainly stay here

The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities I could possibly need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time.
The hotel’s facilities were impressive as well. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning with a wide variety of fresh options.
The location was perfect—conveniently close to the beach but tucked away enough to provide a peaceful retreat. I also appreciated the complimentary shuttle service, which was provided when I left the hotel.
Overall, my stay exceeded all expectations. The combination of exceptional service, comfort, and amenities made for a truly memorable experience. I look forward to returning and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway.

IrelandHotel is perfectly located in the middle of the island. Rooms are specious and very clean with toiletries and drinking water refilled every day. Staff is a definitely a highlight of our stay - eager to help always with a smile on their faces. Food in the hotel restaurant is absolutely delicious.
Go Divers organised scuba diving and snorkelling for hotel guests. Contact them or hotel to find out the weekly trips schedule ,especially if you wanna do whale shark trip, to make sure it’s aligned with your stay because other hotels won’t let you join them.
I highly recommend this accommodation and scuba diving with Go Divers.

The owner Ishan is super kind, I arrived very last minute and still I received ferry pick up, a tasty welcome drink, even though they were out of bikes he arranged one for me, I was able to use the snorkling gear for free, the room is very spacious and clean, the breakfast is good, AC, Nice little patio, the rest of the staff is super nice. And the location is good! Just great place!

From the very first moment, we arrived at the airport and met the Kandolhu team until our departure. Every detail of our stay was flawlessly orchestrated to create an exceptional experience. Though we stayed for only three nights, the warmth, professionalism, and excellence of the team made it truly unforgettable.
Location: The journey itself is part of the magic—just a 20-minute scenic seaplane flight followed by a short 5-10 minute boat ride that transports you to this paradise.
The Island: Small, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful, Kandolhu is the epitome of a private island retreat.
The Resort: Thoughtfully designed with just 30 villas, the property balances exclusivity and comfort. It offers five outstanding restaurants, a stylish bar, a well-equipped gym, a serene spa, and a sea activities center—ensuring that every guest finds their own perfect way to unwind.
Our Villa: We chose an overwater villa, and it exceeded all expectations. With a private pool and direct sea access, it provided the perfect blend of luxury and tranquillity.
Staff & Service: The essence of true hospitality is mastered here. The team anticipated our needs before we even realized them, creating a seamless, highly personalized experience. Their warmth and attention to detail set a new benchmark for excellence.
Dining: A standing ovation to the executive chef, sous-chefs, and the entire culinary team. The food was fresh, inventive, and packed with flavour. With five distinct restaurants—offering Mexican-Peruvian, Mediterranean, Japanese, Sea Grill, and an all-day dining option—every meal was a delightful journey of taste.

Centare resort was our beautiful hideaway for 15 nights. Right after we stepped out of the seaplane our honeymoons have started. The whole team made sure that our dreams came really true. Our first contact was with guest service manager Sveltana. She welcomed us with open heart, welcome drink und very professional at same time. She was always reachable per Whatsapp, if there were some questions or we needed some help. We felt very good served during our whole stay.
Our room attendant Samsul did his job on such excellent level. He came many times per day for cleaning up, a little small talk and filling up the water bottles. He got sure that we have all we need. Every time when we came back after his cleaning, the villa looked like brand new! Additionally he has surprised us with many sand drawings (outside the villa) or inside with the towels (elephants, angels). He did his job with passion and perfectionism to the last detail!
The staff from the “Reef bar” did amazing job too. We really enjoyed the excellent services from Habib and Jasim. They knew us very well and have never forgot, what are our favourite drinks. Plus they filled up our ice cube box automatically. When they had time, we did some small talks and they come automatically to the table and asked if we need something. The food itself was just AMAZING!!! The buffets offered a huge choice of food, vegetable, salads, fresh fruits and deserts. The quality of dishes were comparable with very good europeans restaurants. We were many times wondering how its possible to prepare it with such quality on a small island in the middle of Indian ocean! Our side-dish highlight were the fresh made butter garlic naan from Masut! If you like Indian kitchen you gonna love it!
What we either appreciated were two “a la carte” restaurants on the island (italian and thai). Both had very professional staff and delicious dishes.

We returned to Gangehi Island Resort after spending our honeymoon here ten years ago — and honestly, it felt like coming home. Very little has changed, which we mean as a huge compliment. The same peaceful atmosphere, the same warm smiles, the same effortless kindness from everyone on the island.
The resort still keeps its original Maldivian charm — natural, simple, and beautifully laid-back. The tropical vegetation is lush, and the sea is that unreal shade of blue with amazing coral just off the beach. We spotted reef sharks, rays, and even sea turtles while snorkeling.
The weather was a bit mixed during our stay, but that’s part of island life — and the staff made up for it in every way. Giorgio, the General Manager, surprised us with a complimentary upgrade from half board to full board — such a generous touch, thank you!
The restaurant buffet is uncomplicated but always delicious, mostly fish-based, freshly prepared and served with genuine warmth. The dessert corner deserves a special mention — fresh tropical fruits and homemade ice cream every day.
The spa offers excellent massages, and our excursion (even with rough sea) was great fun with beautiful snorkeling spots. The romantic dinner at sunset, with our own waiter and chef, was truly unforgettable — especially the aperitivo at the overwater restaurant.
In short, Gangehi remains an authentic Maldivian gem — friendly, relaxed, and made for pure relaxation. We loved every minute and will surely be back again.

It was our second time so we already knew what to expect. But still they were able to pleasantly suprise us. Everything was superb, staff is super fast and attentive, organisation is on the highest level. Food was very good, accomodation perfect. Island is well maintained. And ofc. the reef. We have visited many resorts but still this one is our favorite because it has fantastic rich coral reef perfect for long snorkeling. Infinity pool is also one of the stars of the resort. All in all the whole resort and people working there makes you feel relaxed and just enjoy.

We loved our stay here. We had a bungalow over the water with a pool. It was magical. We were on the side with the reefs and it was a lot less windy than the other side. and we could just go down the stairs from our balcony and start snorkeling which was amazing.
The buffet wasn't the greatest. One day, everything seemed to have tuna in it, the next was a different meat. The hot dishes, the salads etc.
It would have been nice to have more fresh food especially in that heat.
Getting around in buggies was fun.

Small privat beach at deluxxe beach villa realy give you feeling of your own small paradise in the midle of indian ocean. Clean and comfortable space and egzotic sound of silence inside and outside, with moustly inisible but always smilenig staf in atmosphere of small green tropical haven make you feel very peacefull and relaxed. Last but not least Nika time is exscelemt idea which give you oportunity to enjoi all 12 hours of daylight on Maldives.

I have been to the Maldives more than 20 times. This is the best hotel I have ever been to.
The cleanest water, the rich living world of the coral reef: parrot fish, sharks, turtles and manta rays and all this swims not far from the houses.
Impeccable cleanliness, perfect service. Responsive staff, always ready to help.

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island. Dangerous rip currents near the island have caused multiple drownings which continue to go unaddressed. The food across the island is inedible and prepared by untrained staff. The island is littered with trash and by no means lives up to its claim of an “eco-conscious environment”

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways.
Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants.
Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type.
Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out.
Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got.
Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

It is a small enough island to walk around.
It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello.
There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food.
There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists.
We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄
The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there

Superb new facility and well connected atoll with great diving spots close by, the diving crew is well experienced and friendly, and they conduct PADI certification courses as well.
All inclusive includes free kayaking for one hour every day (depending on sea conditions), free SUP for one hour every day (depending on sea conditions) and free rental of snorkeling gear for the entire duration of stay. There were several other water sport options like jet sky, dive tours, night snorkeling as well. The active coral reef need a bit of a boat ride to reach but they are filled with fishes. The whale shark viewing was amazing!!

Mathiveri is a small, calm island with a very natural, local feel. Life moves slowly here, which makes it easy to truly rest and disconnect. The beach is just across the street and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and quiet walks.
Snorkeling trips were a highlight - clear water, turtles, reef life, and respectful guides who care about the ocean.
There are several water activities available, including kayaking, banana boat rides, jet ski rental, and wakeboarding behind a jet ski.
If you’re looking for luxury, nightlife, or crowds, this is not the place. But if you want peace, nature, water activities, and a real island atmosphere, Mathiveri is a great choice.
