TurkeyFirst of all, I highly recommend you read it until the end. An excellent facility on a small and quiet local island full of underwater riches. As soon as you put your feet into the water at the tourist beach, you are surrounded by dozens of different species of fish, but swimming with the fish seen on Youtube is a priceless experience. Mr. Ahmad, the owner of the hotel, is a very polite and helpful person. He is very professional in making all the necessary arrangements for you when you arrive from the capital to the island, in welcoming you at the entrance and when you leave the island. If you want to participate in off-island activities, they will help you as much as they can. You have breakfast as an open buffet at the best restaurant on the island. You should definitely try the product made especially from fresh tuna. Among the 4 hotels I stayed in on 4 different islands during my Maldives trip, this was definitely the newest, cleanest and cheapest. I can guarantee that you will feel at home in this hotel. I would also like to consider that restaurants, off-island activities, and many other things on the island are cheaper than on many tourist islands.
Also; Mahibadhoo may not be the best island in the Maldives, but it is a fact that there are better ones in terms of nature and tourism. But if you really want to relax in a quiet environment, this quiet and tiny island located in the natural wonder South Ari Atoll is definitely one of the best local islands you can find. Never mind that the tourist beach is smaller than some, because there are only a few people on the beach at most, so the beach is yours! I definitely recommend splitting your Maldives holiday across more than one island, as I did, and devoting at least some of it to this island and this hotel.

The breakfast is really good!
Everyone in the hotel is so welcoming, helpful, and always at your service; they made our stay on this lovely island even more memorable.

ItalyThe staff is so nice and helpful. They will pick you up, drop you off, give you all the information you need and more. Snorkeling equipment is free. We did the half day tour and it was perfect. The closest access to the beach is just 5 minutes away by walking, while the “main” bikini beach is around 15 mins away. Wifi works. The food was also good. We will definitely come back in the future :)

The Honeymoon of Our Dreams – Constance Moofushi is Absolute Magic
We’ve been fortunate to travel to many beautiful places around the world, but nothing compares to our experience at Constance Moofushi. Today is our last day of our honeymoon, and to say we’re a bit gutted is an understatement. Coming in May, we were slightly nervous about the weather — but we’ve honestly had the best holiday of our lives.
While May is technically the start of the wet season in the Maldives, the weather was far better than expected: around 60–70% sunny, with occasional showers and refreshing wind. Rather than detracting from the experience, the changing skies added a richness to the scenery — bringing a welcome break from the intense tropical heat. It also gave us a chance to experience the Maldives as the locals do, in all its natural beauty. The shifts in weather were truly exceptional.
We stayed in a Senior Overwater Villa, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Waking up each morning to the gentle sound of the ocean, diving straight into the turquoise waters, and watching the sunset from our deck was pure magic. But what sets Moofushi apart isn’t just the scenery — it’s the heart and soul of the place: the people.
From the moment we stepped off the seaplane, we were treated with genuine warmth and personal attention. The staff knew our names, our preferences, even where we liked to sit at dinner — and they remembered it all without us having to ask twice. It never felt robotic or rehearsed — just naturally thoughtful and full of care. Our room was refreshed multiple times a day, and every small touch was meaningful — from the honeymoon decorations to the smiles we were greeted with every day.
The service was flawless. Whether it was chatting with the wonderful wait staff, being surprised with thoughtful gestures from housekeeping, or watching my husband play cricket with some of the staff (we’re from New Zealand, so that meant a lot!) — every moment felt special.

Location: The journey itself is part of the magic—just a 20-minute scenic seaplane flight followed by a short 5-10 minute boat ride that transports you to this paradise.
The Island: Small, serene, and breathtakingly beautiful, Kandolhu is the epitome of a private island retreat.
The Resort: Thoughtfully designed with just 30 villas, the property balances exclusivity and comfort. It offers five outstanding restaurants, a stylish bar, a well-equipped gym, a serene spa, and a sea activities center—ensuring that every guest finds their own perfect way to unwind.
Our Villa: We chose an overwater villa, and it exceeded all expectations. With a private pool and direct sea access, it provided the perfect blend of luxury and tranquillity.
Staff & Service: The essence of true hospitality is mastered here. The team anticipated our needs before we even realized them, creating a seamless, highly personalized experience. Their warmth and attention to detail set a new benchmark for excellence.
Dining: A standing ovation to the executive chef, sous-chefs, and the entire culinary team. The food was fresh, inventive, and packed with flavour. With five distinct restaurants—offering Mexican-Peruvian, Mediterranean, Japanese, Sea Grill, and an all-day dining option—every meal was a delightful journey of taste.
Spa: We had the 'couple ritual'. A sanctuary of relaxation, the spa at Kandolhu offers a truly rejuvenating experience. With expert therapists, soothing treatments, and a tranquil setting, every session feels like a retreat within a retreat—perfect for unwinding and embracing the island’s serenity.

Centare resort was our beautiful hideaway for 15 nights. Right after we stepped out of the seaplane our honeymoons have started. The whole team made sure that our dreams came really true. Our first contact was with guest service manager Sveltana. She welcomed us with open heart, welcome drink und very professional at same time. She was always reachable per Whatsapp, if there were some questions or we needed some help. We felt very good served during our whole stay.
Our room attendant Samsul did his job on such excellent level. He came many times per day for cleaning up, a little small talk and filling up the water bottles. He got sure that we have all we need. Every time when we came back after his cleaning, the villa looked like brand new! Additionally he has surprised us with many sand drawings (outside the villa) or inside with the towels (elephants, angels). He did his job with passion and perfectionism to the last detail!
The staff from the “Reef bar” did amazing job too. We really enjoyed the excellent services from Habib and Jasim. They knew us very well and have never forgot, what are our favourite drinks. Plus they filled up our ice cube box automatically. When they had time, we did some small talks and they come automatically to the table and asked if we need something. The food itself was just AMAZING!!! The buffets offered a huge choice of food, vegetable, salads, fresh fruits and deserts. The quality of dishes were comparable with very good europeans restaurants. We were many times wondering how its possible to prepare it with such quality on a small island in the middle of Indian ocean! Our side-dish highlight were the fresh made butter garlic naan from Masut! If you like Indian kitchen you gonna love it!
What we either appreciated were two “a la carte” restaurants on the island (italian and thai). Both had very professional staff and delicious dishes.

We spent 12 beautiful days in Villa Resort in January 2024 and it was one of the nicest holidays ever. The accommodation in completely renovated and newly furnitured Lagoon Beach Villa (nr. 115) was very comfortable, with amazing services of housekeeping team (namely Mr. Ahunaf) with excellent daily morning and evening cleaning and minibar replenishment. The food in the restaurant was also excellent with many different tastes every day (including daily fish/sea foods). There is absolutely nothing to complain about chefs and the service, who were really great. The waiter, Mr. Aswar, who took care about us, is having amazing memory of the guests' habits and their tastes.... we were just sitting at the table and the fresh juice was already on its way. We also used the services of the diving centre with really friendly and helpful crew. Samuel was guiding all dives safely and locations were nicely chosen.

The food was delicious, the staff is always nice, the island is small but private. You will enjoy the peace and quiet. We stayed in a beach villa, which has a beautiful view. I recommend numbers 17 and 18, they have the most beautiful view of the sea. Some villas have a view of the stone barrier. I recommend bringing your shoes for the sea and definitely don't forget your snorkeling masks and fins. We had half board, we didn't miss lunch. We paid for everything else only when we left, including the seaplane. We went on a trip to watch manta rays and nurse sharks ($165/2 people). Whale shark watching costs $500/2 people. There is a small shop on the island if you forget something. You don't need Maldivian money. The sand is full of shell fragments, a bit uncomfortable for your feet. In conclusion, it is a wonderful place to relax.

Our stay at Lux South Ari Atoll was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmest smiles and outstanding hospitality. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. A special mention goes to Ahmed from the cleaning staff and Elena at reception, whose attention to detail and care truly enhanced our experience.
While we won’t name everyone individually, we deeply appreciated the impeccable service across all restaurants and the efficiency of the shuttle drivers. everything was amazing, we had a wonderful beach villa, 2 rooms, huge and comfy bed, swimming pool and the level of cleaniless is out of this world!
the best thing about this place is the way they run things, mainly THE STAFF: kudos to our lovely hosts Lucas, Diana, Lily, Nasaril, and especially SAMEERA who always went over his head to guarantee us the best possible experience. (he even brought me some cigars from 70km by seaplane!)
Also, shout-out to the cooking team! the food was really michelin star quality. The wine selection is unbeliveble, and the wine guys really know what they are talking about.
Honestly, this place is so well organized it should get 11/10 we will surely return next year!

Fantastic stay at Diamonds. Very smooth transfer service via seaplane and from the first second in the staff made me feel so at home. The island itself is actual paradise on earth. I stayed in the Bungalow and due to it being low season it felt very private. Everything felt fresh and new, plenty of activities to do like snorkelling and yoga or just to relax and escape the world. Loved watching the seaplanes land from my balcony. Food was amazing for an all inclusive, two different restaurants, a buffet and plenty of different options every day. Cockatils very strong! Really didn't want to leave.

Surrounded by a lively and beautiful reef, offering great service, food, spa and unforgettable excursion trips(manta, turtle and whale shark snorkelling, etc )Nika was the best choice we could make in Maldives. Hard to find another resort that provides fresh smelling towels at all times :) We’ve extended our stay for 4 more days and experienced both beach villa and water villa.. Both were breathtaking. Already looking forward to our next stay

Friendly staff, facilities, over-water villa with private pool, turquoise water view from the water villas with plenty of baby sharks and colorful fish, resort pool with sunset views, activities, great snorkel, private beach, buffet, sunset cruise, scuba diving center at the resort. The chocolates/ cookies delivered daily in our room, the towels in the form of animals every day in our room, and the happy anniversary message on the bed.

Their service is amazing in all fronts. Maoly was great was our concierge, and all staff was so friendly. The facilities are beautiful, all very new and well maintained. The air conditioning in the room is so quiet that you can hear the soothing sound of the ocean all night long. The buffet was great too, very tasty food and plenty of choice, with different themes every day. Just loved everything there!

An unforgettable stay!
We had a dream vacation in a truly paradise. The staff was incredibly kind, always smiling and attentive. All the amenities were available for maximum comfort. Special mention to the underwater scenery – absolutely fantastic, a real paradise for snorkeling or diving lovers! One thing is for sure, : we’ll definitely be coming back!

outstanding staff on the island. Mustafa accompanied us every night with a smile. schoffe and the whole kids turtle club made the trip a fun experience for our daughter. the drinks on the beach bar mixed by the friendly barkeeper accompanied the perfect sunsets. thanks a lot.

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.

The most beautiful sea I have ever seen in my entire life. And mind you, I have visited many seas in many countries! For food, I recommend the restaurant at the Dhiguveli hotel and the Teapot restaurant. Getting around the island is very easy; you can reach any place quickly on foot. Don't miss going to the sandbank at one of the ends of the island.

It’s a nice local island.
It’s a nice local island. It’s clearly very popular, as there are at least four new hotels currently under construction. In the future, the place may lose its local atmosphere and become very touristy. The grocery shops offer only a limited selection of goods, not like what we’re used to in Europe.

It is a small enough island to walk around.
It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello.
There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food.
There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists.
We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than...
You need maximum 3 days to complete all trips, any more than that would have to be someone who loves water sports as these are the main activities in this country, anyways.
Bring a mosquito or any insect repellent, you will need these after a stroll on the shores or anywhere there are plants.
Also have an anti-nausea pill if you are the seasick type.
Taxis have a fixed price for each location, check that out.
Alcohol in the resorts is expensive but then again that's all you got.
Best to pay all meals or include dinner in your package as there are almost no restaurants outside, depending on the island, and if you find one it's either a chips or coffee spots.

It was not my first time in Maldives and my experience there was disappointing compared to my previous trips in other resorts. The quality of service is poor and it’s a shame because the resort is lovely and the staff are nice but lack professionalism.

We enjoyed 7 days on the island. The rooms are very clean. The food is AMAZING! Everyone from staff are kind. The resort is sustainable, they try very hard to recycle and repurpose almost everything which is really nice. All inclusive is the smarter choice, trust me😄
The snorkeling is really fun! The whole island stands on coral reef and there is a lot to see! Maybe bring your own equipment, although you can rent. I don’t recommend the visit to the local island, nothing to see there

Mathiveri is a small, calm island with a very natural, local feel. Life moves slowly here, which makes it easy to truly rest and disconnect. The beach is just across the street and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and quiet walks.
Snorkeling trips were a highlight - clear water, turtles, reef life, and respectful guides who care about the ocean.
There are several water activities available, including kayaking, banana boat rides, jet ski rental, and wakeboarding behind a jet ski.
If you’re looking for luxury, nightlife, or crowds, this is not the place. But if you want peace, nature, water activities, and a real island atmosphere, Mathiveri is a great choice.

Feridhoo is an island inhabited by locals. They are Muslims, so respect them and wear decent clothes when walking through the village. The island has 2 restaurants with good food and fair prices, one dive base (Noohiri) and one small shop next to Shifa Lodge. We came for diving and found an abundant maritime life. There are 2 beach areas, one at the east side with the best snorkeling ground, the other at north/west side with berths for relaxing.
