The staff is incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was modern, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort.

For the food, I asked them to prepare food without wine and they did for me.
I had an AC leaking in my room and they changed the room for me and I had a free diving trip as compensation.
You can walk on the beach as long as you can and lay down to see the stars at night.

A fantastic place to stay in South West Mauritius. This is the best holiday we have ever had and a lot of that is due to our wonderful stay here. Staff took very good care of us from the moment we arrived and there were lots more facilities and activities to do than expected! Room was large and comfortable with a great view and the sea nearby. It was easy and simple to plan outtings, the hotel had their own taxi service with fixed prices who would come and get you in minutes after staff put the request in for you. The main restaurant was very good, they did buffet meals for breakfast and dinner and I also enjoyed some meals from the food truck. Staying here felt like a truly luxurious experience and we can't thank the staff enough for all they did for us. It was also fairly quiet and not crowded when we were here which added to the calm and private feel. The stretch of beach at this location did seem nicer than in the neighbouring locations and we got perfect views of the sunset from the beach. It was also nice to stroll through the garden areas, lovely aesthetics throughout the resort.

Everything was superlative. Top notch. You are welcomed by personal concierge, everything is explained. Instantly feel like royalty. Everybody smiles, everybody is ready to help you. The resort is in a beautiful garden with all the exotic trees full of singing birds. Spacious rooms. Wonderful view. Rooms are cleaned twice a day (thats maybe a bit too much, but it tells you about how much they care). We saw manager every morning greet his staff with smile and respect but also check if everything is perfect. Lots of activities for kids and adults, many water sports. And not to mention fantastic range of choice in couple of restaurants. The food was like in a fancy restaurant. We wanted to travel around, but there was so much to discover in the resort itself, we didnt have time for it. The resort was full but you still feel like there is enough privacy for yourself.

Although we had some teething issues, the team at Heritage Villas especially Mr Dhanraj went out of the way to make our holiday special and memorable! Things would be available at a click of a WhatsApp message. Despite such a huge property (6200 acres is too huge), they gave us great service. Spa was excellent. Also the facilities here are excellent. A must visit with kids!

Lovely location, the beaches were picture postcard.
Lovely location, the beaches were picture postcard. People were very friendly, mainly French speaking but English spoken too. It was quiet, very few bars/restaurants/cafes, no convenience type supermarkets and everyone preferred cash with most not having card machines. Too quiet for us really.

I relocated here for a day to stay closer to the airport, having come from Bel Ombre—a remarkably scenic area that is a must-visit for travellers. However, Bel Ombre has very few restaurants, most of which are expensive and widely scattered, making it challenging without private transport. Without a car, our experience was quite difficult—until we finally rented one.
In contrast, Mahébourg is far more tourist-friendly, offering numerous dining options and a pleasant seaside setting all within walking distance. Surprisingly, the overall costs were considerably cheaper than Bel Ombre

There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel...
There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel complex. There are also not really restaurants except those in the hotel complex. You are much better with a car. However the hotel complex is huge with plenty of facilities so you can easily stay at the complex for a few days if you don’t have a car/don’t want to go exploring.

The 2nd floor villa with a balcony view to the garden and sea was private with a superb vista
it had a very well stocked kitchen with excellent cooking facilities. Every attention to detail had been given with pottery and art it was aesthetically pleasing. provisions were easy to get and at short distance to obtain. what wasn’t evident from its description was its peace and privacy which for us gave the restorative and restful holiday we required.

Grand Sable is more of a location you drive through rather than a place to stay. It’s a nice place to see and stop to take pictures as you drive through but not really a place to stay for any length of time except maybe one night. The name sounds like there should a beach here but there is not.

Mahebourg is a vibrant transport hub. The people are friendly and eager to assist in finding places and any needed information. The market is a must visit. I ate at the market food stalls and at Bo'Valon Mall.

food options for buffet was good however the room service options ought to have more choice for dietry and enjoyment!

I came in with some reservation due to the wind that was considered to be a problem by other visitors. Some others were ranking the West coast over the East Coast (we were on the East Coast) but after visiting the entire island, we were very happy about our choice.

We stayed for a day at the Shandri Beachcomber (bought a day pass) and the snorkeling from their beach was fantastic . Absolute amazing location but I wouldn't stay overnight there. Way too exensive for a dated resort and we weren't impressed by the quality of food and drink (it is an all inclusive resort) but you can't beat the location.
