United KingdomLovely location for my 60th Birthday. We were on an Island tour on our Royal Enfield motorbikes and we chose this location as the place to stay for my birthday. We had a lovely room overlooking the mangroves. Huge bed big shower. Mosquito plug in repellers and air conditioning. The staff were fabulous amazing chef- I had 2 lobster dishes which were heaven. We were given a complimentary arrival drink which was a lovely touch. Felt authentic and was relaxing

What a gem 😊. If peace & quiet is what you're after, with spectacular turquoise sea & white sands, with completely safe swimming, then Chantauvent should be your choice for your first few days on Ile Maurice. The staff are very helpful, kind, yet very quiet and the breakfast is absolutely superb.
I had the bottom floor room with a kitchen which was fantastic. The fridge is nice & big too. There are lovely, fresh, bright white towels in the bathroom & one asks at reception for a beautiful turquoise coloured swimming towel. This is quite an exclusive B&B, but tranquil & 'far from the madding crowd". Worth it to stay here for a few days 👍 P.S. and do please go and eat at Blue Bamboo....the most exquisite food & vibe just a short walk up the road...and 1 of only 2 places in my 16 day trip, where I could get a beautiful, big, fresh & colourful salad. Was simply delicious!

- Shanti is a smaller development and feels more private.
- Never crowded, with plenty of space on the beach and in the restaurant.
- Excellent swimming in crystal clear water with great depth.
- Good water sport activities included in the price.
- Very green, with beautiful big trees and lots of birds.
- Room with ocean view, listening to the sea at night was nice
- Delicious breakfast with lots of choice (loved the chia and tapioca puddings, smoothies).
- Great kids club with a nice pool.
- FANTASTIC STAFF!!!
Special thanks to Satish, who is incredibly friendly, helpful, and caring. He is a very good man.
Evelyn and Yajna at the restaurant were also amazing; my daughter loved them.
In the kids club, Jaymala and Prema were very caring.

We three besties were celebrating my big-O birthday in Mauritius. We booked Tamassa for 6 days. Everything was great, the staff was exceptionally polite, prompt and accommodating. The restaurants were very nice and the chefs made cuisines especially for us when we ordered ahead of time. The Housekeeping in-charge would personally meet and ask if the cleaning and service were up to date for us. The privacy is very respected and we never had a problem with any of their facilities or amenities. Our vacation was lovely and memorable. I am looking forward to visit again with my family this time and for a longer period of stay. I would highly recommend this resort.

Lovely location close to the beach. We had a ground floor garden room which felt secluded and quiet. The added convenience of leaving front or back was great. The meals were amazing - buffet breakfast very extensive. Lunch at Infinity Blue super, the chicken Caesar salad was sooo lovely, had it a couple of times. Staff very attentive, 3 or 4 especially impressive. Pools lovely, although the children’s pool had the best view of beach and sunset.

Every single staff had a smile on and a hello ready for us. Very accommodating and friendly staff.
They were very flexible with our checkout time, allowing us to enjoy their facilities a bit longer.
Breakfast was really good. So much different stuff and always restocking.
The room was spacious and we had an amazing view of the turquoise ocean.
Free water everywhere and new towels everyday.

An amazing place to be. We have been welcome nicely by the staff and the are always helpful. The pavilion was lovely and was so comfortable. As for the food it was delicious. To sum it up was a very pleasant stay. Will surely go again.

Lovely location, the beaches were picture postcard.
Lovely location, the beaches were picture postcard. People were very friendly, mainly French speaking but English spoken too. It was quiet, very few bars/restaurants/cafes, no convenience type supermarkets and everyone preferred cash with most not having card machines. Too quiet for us really.

I relocated here for a day to stay closer to the airport, having come from Bel Ombre—a remarkably scenic area that is a must-visit for travellers. However, Bel Ombre has very few restaurants, most of which are expensive and widely scattered, making it challenging without private transport. Without a car, our experience was quite difficult—until we finally rented one.
In contrast, Mahébourg is far more tourist-friendly, offering numerous dining options and a pleasant seaside setting all within walking distance. Surprisingly, the overall costs were considerably cheaper than Bel Ombre

There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel...
There’s not much to do in Bel Ombre except for the hotel complex. There are also not really restaurants except those in the hotel complex. You are much better with a car. However the hotel complex is huge with plenty of facilities so you can easily stay at the complex for a few days if you don’t have a car/don’t want to go exploring.

Nothing was lacking
The 2nd floor villa with a balcony view to the garden and sea was private with a superb vista
it had a very well stocked kitchen with excellent cooking facilities. Every attention to detail had been given with pottery and art it was aesthetically pleasing. provisions were easy to get and at short distance to obtain. what wasn’t evident from its description was its peace and privacy which for us gave the restorative and restful holiday we required.

Grand Sable is more of a location you drive through rather than a place to stay. It’s a nice place to see and stop to take pictures as you drive through but not really a place to stay for any length of time except maybe one night. The name sounds like there should a beach here but there is not.

small busting little village the driving around can be a little bit challenging as most part of the island dont expect to get restaurants open late needs to plan ahead as at 8 or 9 almost everything is closed and most restaurants close between 2 to 5 during the day not convient when you are on vacation but this how they run their business

the cleanliness and location was wonderful & gorgeous !
food options for buffet was good however the room service options ought to have more choice for dietry and enjoyment!

I came in with some reservation due to the wind that was considered to be a problem by other visitors. Some others were ranking the West coast over the East Coast (we were on the East Coast) but after visiting the entire island, we were very happy about our choice.
