We had a spacious room with a nice view of the pool and the sea. The breakfast was good and it was served in the Le Skipper restaurant overlooking the sea. There are also other nice restaurants 5-10 minutes walking distance away. The staff were super nice and friendly! Overall we had a great stay and hope we’ll be back again!

A hotel that exceeded all expectations! An amazing hotel with a warm and professional approach from the staff, who took care of every need we had. The room was beautiful with a sea view, clean, and with comfortable beds. The breakfast was varied, served as a rich buffet. The hotel had a great atmosphere where we always felt comfortable. There were excellent facilities for children, including a playground and a playroom that was open not only during the day but also for a while in the evening, so parents could enjoy a quiet dinner. Almost every evening, there was an entertainment program for both children and adults. Since we also needed to work remotely from the hotel, we requested a room with good internet coverage. The reception provided us with a special router that was for our use only, and it worked perfectly for our remote work needs. We definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for high-quality accommodation at a very good price. The hotel is within walking distance of one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius, Mont Choisy Beach.

It was a truly marvelous visit where we left with great memories and extremely relaxed. Everything was thought off and the attention to detail is impeccable. Although the facilities are truly top notch, its the attentiveness of the staff that really makes the difference at the resort. We spent two weeks here with our family and intend to come back for sure. The food at the restaurants is of a very high standard. We were afraid that might get bored with the food for two weeks being there, but in practice we had every dinner at the restaurant and it was fantastic. Great diversity of cuisine and great-, attentive and friendly service. We enjoyed the cocktails and drinks as well. Perhaps the highpoint of our holiday was a trip we did in a traditional boat with our family where we went fishing and had lunch on a small island outside the resort.

Small and cosy hotel exactly what we needed before leaving paradise island. The staffs are absolutely fantastic... always ready to assist and advise. It has a Greece kind of look / vibe. Very much like staying in a cave which was a new experience for us. Entertainment during the day, evening and morning too...it's a pity we were there for a night only. Beds are very comfortable. After we checked out we were still able to use the pool which was a plus. We should have probably booked all inclusive as the food looked delicious.

It's very authentic and easy to navigate... it's a bit tricky walking around as there really are not too many pedestrian lanes. Endless cute shops, restaurants, the people were so friendly.. Good value for money too!

Trou aux Biches is one of my favourite beaches in Mauritius. The sand is soft and white, and the water is crystal clear, calm, and perfect for swimming. It’s an ideal spot for relaxing and admiring the sunset. The atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, making it suitable for couples, families, and solo visitors. With easy access to nearby restaurants, food stalls, and facilities, Trou aux Biches Beach offers the perfect balance between natural beauty and convenience. A must-visit beach when in Mauritius.

We had a wonderful stay at Rate Pereybere Beach Paradise. Roshini was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The apartment itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and truly feels like a home away from home. It’s equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, and while a dishwasher would be a welcome addition, we honestly couldn’t find fault with anything. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the perfect beachside getaway.

Short tips: Take your meds for allergies. I had a allergy day 1 and it really spoils the fun. The nurse Sarista is really amazing there but you don't want to struggle. TAKE MEDS to prevent. Pack your running shoes. The gym is GREAT or go for a jog, because you eat a lot. Bring a digestive and or something for indigestion and heartburn. You eat a LOT! Don't forget your SPF. Dress up clothes for the evenings. You would want to look smart at dinner. There is something about the events and atmosphere at night.

Balaclava is not the most lively part of Mauritius which suited us perfectly. It consists mostly of vegetable fields, forests and small hamlets. The coast is getting developed with hotels but each is keeping its space so it doesn't feel crowded. You need to rent a car or get a taxi to visit the nearest town, Pamplemousses. There you have the old sugar factory, botanical gardens and a very pleasant shopping mall with a food supermarket.

The beach of Mon Choisy is a long sunny sandy beach nice for swimming. During October to March it is hot there but the sea is great for swimming. However during these months some cyclones may also visit the Island ! Other months are also sunny and the climate are cooler around 24c during the day. In weekdays the beach is calm and it is not crowded. However during Sundays and public holidays locals are there and it is very crowded but as it is a long beach there is still some space for everyone. On Sundays expect loud music from loudspeakers by some picknickers though there is law about it but it is rarely respected. There are also many stray dogs on the beach but they are not aggresive.

The location was ideal, the weather in the North was great during winter week. The duplex is location is just right. Not often you will have one that gives you direct access to the beach which makes this one desirable.

It was a disappointment from day one.

It was a disappointment from day one. After we realized that the proposed and booked room didn’t match reality, (had no kitchenette, no private entrance and no fireplace) . Hotel staff was ok, but not great. Recorded two incidents where dead insects where at the dining area and beside food at the open kitchen in the restaurant. General manager never spoke with us, staff apologized and gave us an upgrade to all inclusive from our half board booking (breakfast and Dinner). Overall an ok experience but clearly no 5 stars. More like 3 stars. We also stayed at Le meridien in Dubai, which is a different league and much much better and customers friendly than Mauritius. We were happy when we left the place in Mauritius and won’t recommend Le Meriden there to anyone.

An ideal spot away from the bustle of Grand Baie. Perfect for couples. There is a large public beach a few minutes walk away which has all the local facilities. Beach shacks selling local food and fresh fruit juices. The local people were all very friendly and the taxi rank nearby was ideal for planning trips.

Roches Noires is a nice place.

Roches Noires is a nice place. Keep in mind that in our summer (july / august) it is winter over there and the east coast will have a constant breeze (up to 4 BFT). Having a rental car we found that almost all of the days we would drive to the west or south coast as there is no wind on that side during their winter.
